In this article are given the opinions by Pannonia countryside inhabitants that belong to the Republic of Serbia about some characteristics of everyday policy. The opinions are gathered by poll which was distributed by e-mail to different areas of the Province of Vojvodina. Namely, 122 participants who filled the poll correctly estimated ten stances. They were formed on the basis of the themes about which the farmers have most often discussed. Special attention was directed to differences concerning the opinion of participants of different gender and age structure, activity and political engagement. Descriptive statistics, T-test and one-factor analysis of ANOVA variance have been used for establishing the differences and were complemented by Post-hoc Tukey test. This paper could be used for improvement of connections and relationships among the politicians, policy and countryside.

The purpose of this research is to determine the opinions of Turkish and Russian history teachers regarding teaching of history, and to present, on a comparative basis, the understanding of history in the two countries as well as the methods of history teaching preferred by the teachers there. The research was designed as a case study, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The sample consisted of 13 Turkish and 13 Russian teachers working as history teachers in Turkey and Russia in the 2020- 2021 academic year. The convenience sampling method was used in the study. The data of the study were collected by correspondence via e-mail with a questionnaire form consisting of open-ended questions created by the researchers. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. When the results of the study are evaluated in general, it is observed that the Russian history teachers are more flexible in history teaching and attach more importance to innovative history teaching, while the Turkish teachers perform more curriculum-centered history teaching compared to their Russian colleagues. In addition, it can be said that Russian history teachers pay more attention to their professional development than Turkish history teachers, and they incorporate more historical thinking skills in classroom activities. It is possible to say that the results of the study originate from the objectives of history teaching in the two countries.

Online gatekeeping is a psychological consultation service in which e-mails are sent to Internet users who are at risk of suicide. This research aimed to clarify the relation between the continuation rate of the service and the speed of response to the user’s first-contact e-mails. We analyzed 290 initial e-mails that arrived at [author’s institution], the study’s specified nonprofit corporation. The reply speed for e-mails arriving during the day was related to consultation continuation: responses sent within and more than 12 hours produced continuation rates of approximately 70% and 44%, respectively. Hence, systems that enable consultants to respond to first-contact e-mails within 12 hours are important for consultation to commence.

Few inquiries have investigated master's students in education as they mentor preservice teachers. In this embedded case study I explored the professional development of 15 master's students as they mentored 35 preservice teachers for eight weeks in a summer literacy camp. Data sources were e-mail exchanges, written reports, and transcriptions from focus groups and in-class conversations. I analyzed the data through constant comparison methods and discovered that the mentors were initially frustrated with their mentoring responsibilities and had little empathy for the preservice teachers. By the end of the camp, they recognized the benefits of mentoring and gained confidence as mentors. Learning occurred for both the mentors and the preservice teachers. Implications include the power of social participation in authentic contexts.

Ainda assim, modelos que exigem dados in-situ impossibilitam sua aplicação em áreas com escassez de dados. No sentido de lidar com esse desafio, o presente trabalho apresenta uma abordagem de escolha do momento de irrigar, pelo balanço hídrico da água no solo, baseada em estimativa da evapotranspiração real (ETA) obtida com o uso conjunto de imagens multiespectrais do sensor MSI/SENTINEL-2 e dados de uma estação meteorológica pública. A área de estudo foi um pivô central localizado no munícipio de Itatinga-SP. Para a tomada de decisão do momento de irrigar, com base em um manejo por lâmina de irrigação fixa, foi feita a interpolação da fração evapotranspirativa entre os dias com imagens disponíveis para obter a ETA nos dias sem imagens por meio do seu produto com a evapotranspiração de referência. Essa abordagem captou variações climáticas essenciais para a estimativa do balanço hídrico em dias sem imagem. REMOTE SENSING APPLIED TO IRRIGATION MANAGEMENT IN AREAS WITH LACK OF DATA: A CASE STUDY IN A CENTRAL PIVOT IN ITATINGA-SP     2 ABSTRACT   Remote sensing-based tools allow the monitoring of water budgets over different spatial and temporal resolutions. Nevertheless, some models require in situ data, preventing their application in areas with a lack of data. To address this challenge, this work presents an approach for irrigation scheduling, based on soil water budget estimation using actual evapotranspiration (ETA) obtained using MSI/SENTINEL-2 multispectral images and data from a public meteorological station. The study area consisted of a central pivot located in the municipality of Itatinga-SP, Brazil. For decision-making of irrigation scheduling, considering a fixed irrigation rate, the evapotranspiration fraction was interpolated between the days with available images to obtain the ETA on the days without images using its product with the reference evapotranspiration. This approach captured essential climate variations for estimating the water budget on non-image days. Noteworthy in this joint application is its suitability to be performed not requiring crop-, microclimate- or relief-specific parameters, making it useful for regions with a lack of data.   Keywords: evapotranspiration, irrigation scheduling, agriwater.

The focus of this article is on how the negotiations between professors and students that are part of the eLearning political process can be interpreted through the prism of game theory. The source of data for the case was a series of in-depth interviews with the professor and an analysis of the e-mail messages exchanged between the professor, the students, and management. Each round of the game represents a different combination of positions, strategies and outcomes, yet, taken as a whole, the case events suggest underlying themes that, if been identified by the two sides, could have led to different outcomes. The discussion and conclusions section outlines the rules that governed the behaviour of the actors from a game theory perspective. This case is unique and, hence, the conclusions from it are not necessarily generalizable. Management's role in the games that people play in the eLearning area is crucial in the newly emerging corporatized university. Game theory analysis is applied in this paper to a four-round negotiation process between students and their professor in the context of an eLearning case study.

ENI Company is an electronic commerce firm in South Korea. ENI Company provides English news items and English lessons to the subscribers through daily e-mail service that includes free English news-related question and answer sessions via e-mail. This case study deals with the struggle of this firm to establish and sustain its business in a less-developed national information infrastructure. Information on national information infrastructure and the Internet in South Korea is provided in order to facilitate understanding of the difficulty that ENI Company faces while conducting e-commerce in South Korea. The chronology of ENI Company evolution is described and the organizational structure of ENI Company is also presented. The marketing of ENI Company’s products that is the biggest challenge for the firm is also discussed. This case is a good example of how to conduct an e-commerce in a county where national IT infrastructure is not ready for it.

As the criticality of e-mail for electronic business activity increases, adhoc e-mail implementation, prolonged management neglect and user abuse of e-mail systems have generated negative effects. However, management’s ability to rectify problems with e-mail systems is hindered by our understanding of its organisational use. Research on e-mail systems is often dated and based on quantitative methodologies that cannot explain the interaction between various controls in organisational settings. Updating our understanding of the organisational aspects of e-mail systems utilizing qualitative methods is necessary. This chapter presents a multiple case study investigation of e-mail system monitoring and control. The study examines the interaction between key elements of e-mail control identified by previous researchers and considers the role of such controls at various implementation phases. The findings reveal eight major elements to be particularly important in monitoring and controlling e-mail systems within the organisations studied. These are: (1) form a cross-functional e-mail system management team; (2) implement and regularly update e-mail management software; (3) formulate a detailed and legally sound e-mail policy; (4) engage in structured e-mail system training; (5) create and maintain ongoing awareness of e-mail policy; (6) engage in a process of hybrid feedback and control-based e-mail monitoring; (7) firmly enforce discipline in accordance with the e-mail policy; and (8) conduct regular reviews and updates of the e-mail management programme.
