The study was conducted with 02 objectives to describe and analyze some factors affecting the motivation of office and support staffs working at Dong Thap General Hospital in 2017. The research design is cross-sectional, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Research results show that, the motivation average score of office and support staffs with the general motivation; burnout; job satisfaction; intrinsic job satisfaction; organizational commitment; conscientiousness; timeliness and attendance oscillate from 2.91 to 3.5. The motivation average score of office and support staffs with burnout is lowest and the motivation average score of office and support staffs with conscientiousness is highest. Some factors affecting the motivation of office and support staffs are income policies; training opportunities; satisfaction of colleagues and managers; working environment; equipment and facilities. The research results provide evidence to help the Board of Directors to develop solutions to improve the motivation of office and support staffs in the future. Aim: To evaluate the overall job satisfaction among periodontists, highlighting the significance of intrinsic and extrinsic factors and their satisfaction level with patients, facilities, and workplace when working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Materials and Methods: An interview-type questionnaire-based cross-sectional study was formulated and consisted of total 38 questions in 8 domains. Contact details of registered periodontists were taken and a weblink containing details of the questionnaire using the tool SurveyMonkey was sent to periodontist from the office of Saudi Dental Society. A single investigator was done to minimize bias evaluated with all the responses. Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software version 21 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) was used for tabulation of descriptive analysis. Standard deviation, percentages and means were calculated. Results: Out of the total 75 emails sent to the periodontists, 65 (86%) responses were received. 63 (96.9%) of the respondents were Saudi nationals, whereas the rest 2 (3.1%) were non‑Saudis. 40 (61.5%) respondents were males, whereas 25 (38.5%) were females. Majority of the respondents were dentists 43 (66.2%). 32.3% reported better professional growth as the main reason for choosing periodontal profession. However, a vast majority of the respondents, 56.9% stated that working as a periodontist was their first choice. 49.3% of the respondents affirmed that they were pleased with the working environment as it was conductive and professional. Approximately, 73.9% of the periodontist were of the view that they had good relations with their patients. Conclusion: Job satisfaction among periodontists working in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was adequate as majority of them displayed a positive attitude toward working environment, their profession, peers, and intrinsic and extrinsic factors related to periodontal profession. Clinical Significance: Job satisfaction plays a vital role in delivering standard quality health care. Dissatisfaction in job may lead to stress, anxiety, and/or depression leading to compromised health care facilities and patient satisfaction.

Purpose of the study: This study was designed to assess the role of interpersonal and Informational Justice in the purview of teaching faculty’s job satisfaction.  Methodology: A cross-sectional and quantitative research method was carried out in three randomly selected universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan i.e. Bacha Khan University, University of Malakand, and the University of Swat. A well-structured questionnaire was used for data collection from 217 sampled respondents (employees) for primary data collection. Further, the researchers analyzed the data through descriptive and inferential statistics, i.e. frequency, percentage, correlation, and indexation of the study variables, namely dependent (job satisfaction) and independent (Interpersonal and Informational Justice), respectively. Principal Findings: Regarding the demographic sketch of the sampled respondents, the study found that the majority of the respondents were male, having the age group from 31-40 years with the collaboration of 5-10 year experiences of teaching at the university level. Further, as per the correlation test statistics at bivariate analysis between the Interpersonal and Informational Justice with job satisfaction was found significant with strong correlation (P≤0.05; 0.860) respectively. Applications of this study: The government and administration should take positive steps to provide a good working environment to establish their trust by expanding cooperation towards employees, exploration of benefits, strengthening relationships with each other, and encouragement of open communication that can stimulate and encourage an exchange of view between faculty and administration was put forward some of the recommendations in light of the study findings.  Novelty/Originality of this study: This research comes under the domain of Sociology of organization and sociology of work through the perceptional-based endeavor.

The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between Big Five Personality traits (neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, agreeableness, conscientiousness), occupational stress and job satisfaction of police officers in Cyprus Police. A cross-sectional design was employed, where data was collected at a single time point. A total of 133 participants took part in the research program. The research instruments consisted of the Neo Five Factor Inventory (NEO-FFI) Police Stress Questionnaire (PSQ) and Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS). The result of the research indicated that the correlation of conscientiousness, extraversion, openness to experience and agreeableness to job satisfaction were not significantly linked while neuroticism had a moderately negative correlation with job satisfaction, and it was the only statistically significant relationship. Results showed that gender had a statistically significant relationship with job satisfaction, with males reporting greater job satisfaction than females. Additionally, work stress in the police force significantly predicts job satisfaction over and above the effect of personality traits.

Purpose: Whistleblowing is an important factor in preventing corruption and fraud in organizations. There is a law to promote whistleblowing practices, but the negative subsequent effect of whistleblowing demotivates the reporting of unethical behaviours. Thus, it is important to identify the factors that motivate an employee to exercise whistleblowing in an organization. Therefore, this study aims to examine whether the personal factor of job satisfaction and organizational factors such as fair treatment as well as cooperativeness contribute to the whistleblowing practice in an organization.Design/methodology/approach: This study collected primary data based on a questionnaire survey from 73 respondents of the seven top most GLCs in Malaysia. The data are analyzed using descriptive statistics, factor analysis, and cross-sectional regression.Findings: The findings of the study reveal that only fair treatment is statistically significant and positively related to the whistleblowing practice. The findings imply that if employees perceive that the organization provides fair treatment in terms of career advancement, awards, training, performance appraisal, job assignment, and pay increases, they would tend to report wrongdoing activities to protect the image of the organization.Practical implications: The findings of the study will help the policy makers to ensure better working environment and accountability in the public sector of Malaysia and other similar countries.Originality/value: This is an original study based on primary data to examine the current practices of whistleblowing and its relationship with the practices of job satisfaction, fair treatment, and cooperativeness in the government linked companies of Malaysia.

ObjectivesThis study had three objectives: (1) describe the prevalence of occupational exposure among Chinese medical personnel in detail, (2) verify the partial mediating role of work environment satisfaction in the relationship between occupational exposure and job satisfaction, and (3) examine if stress symptoms moderate the relationship between occupational exposure and job satisfaction.DesignA large cross-sectional online survey was conducted in July 2018 in China.SettingA survey was conducted in 54 cities across 14 provinces of China.ParticipantsA total of 12 784 questionnaires were distributed, and 9924 healthcare workers (HCWs) completed valid questionnaires. The response rate was 77.63%.Outcome measuresA confidential questionnaire was distributed to HCWs. The relationships among and the mechanisms of the variables were explored using descriptive statistical analyses, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression analysis.ResultsThe most common occupational exposures among HCWs in the past 12 months were psychosocial and organisational hazards (85.93%). Overall, physicians (93.7%) and nurses (89.2%) were the main victims of occupational exposure. Occupational exposure correlated negatively with work environment satisfaction and job satisfaction, and positively with stress symptoms. Moreover, work environment satisfaction fully mediated the relationship between occupational exposure and job satisfaction, and stress symptoms moderated the relationship between occupational exposure and job satisfaction.ConclusionThe incidence of occupational exposure among HCWs is generally high. The high frequency of psychosocial and organisational hazards among physicians and nurses should be taken seriously and dealt with in a timely manner by hospital managers. The negative impact of occupational exposure on job satisfaction must be buffered by measures to reduce stress symptoms and enhance working environment satisfaction, ultimately improving the overall quality of life of HCWs and promoting comprehensive development of the medical team.

Background: Human resource works as an engine to provide sustainable service delivery. An individual's perception in the organization plays a vital role in job satisfaction. In Health Care Nurse's job satisfaction in their jobs determines whether their roles are fulfilled towards service delivery for their clients of various communities. Better performance has been directly related with organizational working environment, social and financial aspects of the job are also important factors. Methods: A cross sectional descriptive study was carried out. 100 nursing officers working in two tertiary care hospitals (50 from each) was randomly selected from age group 22 to 60 years. The data was collected by using a self-administered structured questionnaire and was analyzed statistically to compare both the variables by using SPSS version 20. Results: Pay is the most important factor that leads to job satisfaction. Majority of nurses from government hospital are moderately satisfied from their pay scales only 2% were observed satisfied working in private hospital. Government hospital nurses were more satisfied (82%) with their job due to job security as compared to private hospital nurses. Conclusion: The study developed the significant differences in the job satisfaction of nursing officers between public and private sector hospitals. Workload, professional support, training arrangement, and working environment found main factors that influence job satisfaction. It is evident from the study that the nurses working in Public sectors are more satisfied than in Private sector.
