AbstractIn this paper, we first synthesis three-dimensional jasmine-like Cu@L-aspartic acid(L-ASP) inorganic–organic hybrid nanoflowers to load palladium-platinum nanoparticles (Pd–Pt NPs) as the signal enhancer in order to quantify intracellular speckle-type POZ domain protein. Scanning electron microscope, fourier transform infrared, energy dispersive spectrometer, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analysis was used to characterize the newly synthesized materials. The newly formed Cu@L-Asp/Pd-PtNPs can catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and exhibit excellent catalytic performance. When different concentration of speckle-type POZ domain protein is captured by speckle-type POZ domain protein antibody linked to the surface of Cu@L-Asp/Pd–Pt NPs, the current signal decreases with the increase concentration of speckle-type POZ domain protein. After optimization, the speckle-type POZ domain protein immunosensor exhibited a good linear response over a concentration range from 0.1–1 ng mL−1 with a low detection limit of 19 fg mL−1. The proposed sensor demonstrates good stability within 28 days, acceptable reproducibility (RSD = 0.52%) and selectivity to the speckle-type POZ domain protein in the presence of possible interfering substances and has potential application for detecting other intracellular macromolecular substances.

Abstract In this paper, we first synthesis three-dimensional(3D) jasmine-like Cu@L-Asp inorganic-organic hybrid nanoflowers to load palladium-platinum nanoparticles as the signal enhancer in order to quantify intracellular speckle-type POZ domain protein (SPOP). Scanning electron microscope (SEM), fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis was used to characterize the newly synthesized materials. The newly formed Cu@L-Asp/Pd-PtNPs can catalyze the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide and exhibit excellent catalytic performance. When different concentration of SPOP is captured by SPOP antibody linked to the surface of Cu@L-Asp/Pd-Pt NPs, the current signal decreases with the increase concentration of SPOP. After optimization, the SPOP immunosensor exhibited a good linear response over a concentration range from 0.1 pg mL-1-1 ng mL-1. The proposed sensor demonstrates good stability, acceptable reproducibility and excellent selectivity to the SPOP in the presence of possible interfering substances and has great potential application for detecting other intracellular macromolecular substances.

The three-dimensional flower-like Bi 2 WO 6 was synthesized through a one-step microwave method (the reaction temperature was 434 K and the reaction took 10 min) with the assistance of ethanolamine (EA). The prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, PL, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis. Methyl orange was used as target pollutant to evaluate the photocatalysis property of samples. Furthermore, the influence of the mechanism of EA on the structure and catalytic performance of Bi 2 WO 6 was discussed. The detailed characterizations revealed that the three-dimensional flower-like Bi 2 WO 6 was successfully synthesized with the assistance of EA. The results confirmed that EA significantly influenced the morphology of Bi 2 WO 6 products. The addition of EA can effectively alter the pressure of the reaction and improve the crystal phase and structure of Bi 2 WO 6 photocatalysts, enhancing the photocatalytic activity of samples and improving the photocatalytic efficiency. EA can serve as an assembling agent and structure-directing agent resulting in the formation of flower-like architectures. With the increase of the amount of EA, the as-prepared Bi 2 WO 6 sample gradually forms a flower-like structure, leading to a shorter time of light holes migrating to the surface of the catalyst. It makes the compound rate significantly decreased, and improves the photocatalytic efficiency of the sample.

AbstractThe SiO2/TiO2/Nb2O5 material was set by the sol–gel method and was characterized by several techniques through thermogravimetric, spectroscopic, and textural analyzes. For the two synthesized materials, the specific surface area was 350.0 and 494.0 m2 g−1 (SiTiNb-A and SiTiNb-B, respectively). An enhance of the crystalline order with the temperature increase of the thermal treatment was observed. Through X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy analysis, the binding energy values for the Ti 2p and Nb 3d levels showed the insertion of Ti and Nb atoms in the silica matrix. The Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy analyses also confirmed the high dispersion of the metals presented on the materials surface. The Thermogravimetric Analysis showed weight loss for the of 37.6% (SiTiNb-A) and 29.7% (SiTiNb-B). The presence of the crystalline phases TiO2-anatase and monoclinic-Nb2O5 in the materials was confirmed through the data obtained by association of powder X-ray Diffraction and FT-Raman. Values obtained from optical band-gap aimed the dependence of the oxides concentration and the calcination temperature. Finally, the pyridine adsorption studies have indicated the presence of Lewis and Brønsted acid sites.

Carbon aerogels (CA) derived from bamboo cellulose fibers were coupled with TiO2 to form CA/TiO2 hybrids, which exhibited extraordinary performance on the photo-catalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB). The structure and morphology of CA/TiO2 were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Raman spectrum. The CA displayed a highly porous and interconnected three-dimensional framework structure, while introducing the catalytic active sites of TiO2 onto the aerogel scaffold could remarkably enhance its photo-catalytic activity. The adsorption and photo-catalytic degradation of MB by the CA/TiO2 hybrid were investigated. The maximum adsorption capacity of CA/TiO2 for MB was 18.5 mg/g, which outperformed many similar materials reported in the literature. In addition, compared with other photo-catalysts, the present CA/TiO2 demonstrated superior photo-catalytic performance. Almost 85% of MB in 50 mL solution with a MB concentration of 10 mg/L could be effectively degraded by 15 mg CA/TiO2 in 300 min.

We report the synthesis of three-dimensional Fe3O4/graphene aerogels (GAs) and their application for the removal of arsenic (As) ions from water. The morphology and properties of Fe3O4/GAs have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and superconducting quantum inference device. The 3D nanostructure shows that iron oxide nanoparticles are decorated on graphene with an interconnected network structure. It is found that Fe3O4/GAs own a capacity of As(V) ions adsorption up to 40.048 mg/g due to their remarkable 3D structure and existence of magnetic Fe3O4nanoparticles for separation. The adsorption isotherm matches well with the Langmuir model and kinetic analysis suggests that the adsorption process is pseudo-second-ordered. In addition to the excellent adsorption capability, Fe3O4/GAs can be easily and effectively separated from water, indicating potential applications in water treatment.

The treatment of organic dye contaminants in wastewaters has now becoming more imperative. Fenton-like degradation of methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) in aqueous solution was investigated by using a nanostructure that a layer of CuCl2 nanoflake film grown on the top surface of nanoporus anodic alumina substrate (nano-PAA-CuCl2) as catalyst. The new nano-PAA-CuCl2 composite was fabricated with self-assembly approach, that is, a network porous structure film composed of CuCl2 nanoflake grown on the upper surface of nanoporous anodic alumina substrate, and the physical and chemical properties are characterized systematically with the X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The experimental results showed that the nano-PAA-CuCl2 catalyst presented excellent properties for the degradation of two typical organic pollutants such as MB and MO, which were almost completely degraded with 8 × 10−4mol/L nano-PAA-CuCl2 catalyst after 46 min and 60 min at reaction conditions of H2O2 18 mM and 23 mM, respectively. The effects of different reaction parameters such as initial pH, H2O2 concentration, catalyst morphology and temperature were attentively studied. And more, the stability and reusability of nano-PAA-CuCl2 were examined. Finally, the mechanism of MB and MO degradation by the nano-PAA-CuCl2/H2O2 system was proposed, based on the experimental data of the BCA and the temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR) and theoretical analysis, the reaction kinetics belonged to the pseudo-first-order equation. This new nanoporous composite material and preparation technology, as well as its application in Fenton-like reaction, provide an effective alternative method with practical application significance for wastewater treatment.

Abstract Two new organic-inorganic hybrid materials, (C6H10N2).Cl2 (I) and [C6H10N2]2ZnCl4 (II), have been synthesized by hydrothermal method and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and XRD pattern investigations. These two compounds are crystallized in the monoclinic system; C2/c space group. In the both structures, the anionic-cationic entities are interconnected by hydrogen bonding contacts and p-p Interaction forming three-dimensional networks. Intermolecular interactions were investigated by Hirshfeld surfaces and the contacts of the four different chloride atoms in (II) were compared. The vibrational absorption bands were identified by infrared spectroscopy. These compounds were also investigated by solid state 13C NMR spectroscopy.

A novel Ag–Si–TiO2 composite was prepared via sol–gel method for removing residual formaldehyde in shiitake mushroom. The structure of Ag–Si–TiO2 composite was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analyses. Ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy (UV-Vis) and N2 adsorption-desorption tests showed that Ag and Si co-doped decreased the band gap, the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area of the samples increased and the recombination probability of electron-hole pairs (e--h+) reduced. Effect on removal rate of formaldehyde with different Ag-Si co-doped content, formaldehyde concentration and solution pH were investigated, and the results showed that 6.0 wt%Ag-3.0 wt%Si-TiO2 samples had an optimum catalytic performance, and the degradation efficiency reached 96.6% after 40 W 365 nm UV lamp irradiation for 360 min. The kinetics of formaldehyde degradation by Ag–Si–TiO2 composite photocatalyst could be described by Langmuir-Hinshelwood first-order kinetic model.

A series of poisoned catalysts with various forms and contents of sodium salts (Na2SO4 and Na2S2O7) were prepared using the wet impregnation method. The influence of sodium salts poisoned catalysts on SO2 oxidation and NO reduction was investigated. The chemical and physical features of the catalysts were characterized via NH3-temperature programmed desorption (NH3-TPD), H2-temperature programmed reduction (H2-TPR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR). The results showed that sodium salts poisoned catalysts led to a decrease in the denitration efficiency. The 3.6% Na2SO4 poisoned catalyst was the most severely deactivated with denitration efficiency of only 50.97% at 350 °C. The introduction of SO42− and S2O72− created new Brønsted acid sites, which facilitated the adsorption of NH3 and NO reduction. The sodium salts poisoned catalysts significantly increased the conversion of SO2–SO3. 3.6%Na2S2O7 poisoned catalyst had the strongest effect on SO2 oxidation and the catalyst achieved a maximum SO2–SO3-conversion of 1.44% at 410 °C. Characterization results showed sodium salts poisoned catalysts consumed the active ingredient and lowered the V4+/V5+ ratio, which suppressed catalytic performance. However, they increased the content of chemically adsorbed oxygen and the strength of V5+=O bonds, which promoted SO2 oxidation.
