In this review article, we discussed old to new synthetic methods used for the preparation of 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydrocarbazole (THCz) based on reported literature. Around the worldwide, various researchers energetically reported new synthetic methods for tetrahydrocarbazoles preparation using conventional method or microwave method or use of catalyst. This review will be helpful to synthetic and medicinal chemist to find selective method for the preparation of 1,2,3,4-Tetrahydrocarbazoles with good percentage yield and less time. This review will also useful to medicinal chemist to design new biologically active tetrahydrocarbazoles based on reported synthetic methods.

Abstract Chalcones (A1-A4) compounds were prepared by reacting an aldehyde (Cinnamaldehyde or terphthaldehyde) with a ketone (4-aminoacetophenone or acetylacetone) in the presence of 30% NaOH as a catalyst and ethanol as a solvent. Derivatives of 1,5-benzodiazepine (A5-A12) were prepared by reacting these prepared chalcones with orthophenylene diamine or 4-methylorthophenylene diamine in a basic medium of sodium hydroxide 10% using the microwave method. Some prepared compounds were used as scavengers of some heavy metals (iron and lead) from heavy water in ecosystems, as the results indicated the ability of these compounds to reduce or withdraw these elements from heavy water. The stability of these compounds was also tested against laser rays, as they showed resistance and stability towards laser rays.

Abstract This article discusses the possibility of implementing the microwave method for controlling the moisture content of agro-industrial products, which allows it to be used to control technological processes in grain processing industries and to control materials in free space, converting the parameters of waves passed through the material’s wave into an electrical signal. A functional diagram of the developed moisture meter is proposed, on the basis of the method, its electrodynamics’ characteristics are determined. Experimental data was obtained for samples of cotton seeds with specified moisture values. A method for measuring grain moisture in continuous production have been proposed, which gives a possibility to reduce the components of the measurement error caused by the uneven distribution of moisture in the grain, the inhomogeneity of the material in terms of density and temperature.

Upon literature studies, pyrano-pyrazoles were found to exhibit the biological activity as antimicrobial agents. So literature employed conventional stirring and reflux condensing to afford different pyrano-pyrazoles. Recent researches adopted the Microwave method, which is a simple and convenient method for organic synthesis. In this work, we reported the synthesis of different 4H-pyrano [2, 3-c] pyrazoles via two different methods, such as microwave & conventional stirring at room temperature. Ethyl acetoacetate, hydrazine hydrate, malanonitrile, and different substituted carbonyl compounds were made to react in the presence of methanol solvent & potassium ter-butoxide, a base catalyst. The microwave method was adopted for all the reactions and found to be more potent than the conventional method. The prepared compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR, and 13CNMR. These compounds were screened for anti-bacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli by well diffusion method and showed the excellent antibacterial property. Our In vitro test for antibacterial study involves excellent MIC (µg/ml) and zone inhibition (mm) measurements of all synthesized compounds. Microwave irradiation synthesis hastens the reaction and is completed very fast. Potassium ter-butoxide, a base catalyst, is proved to be a good catalyst for accelerating the reactions. The yield of all synthesized compounds was good. Different 4H-pyrano [2, 3-c] pyrazoles exhibited good potency against Staphylococcus aureus and E. coli. In the presence of a base catalyst, the reactions are faster than in the absence of a catalyst. The microwave method is a good methodology for the green syntheses. Derivatives of 4H-pyrano [2, 3-c] pyrazoles exhibited excellent MIC (µg/ml) and proved to be as good antibacterial agents.
