Sokaraja Batik Center is one of batik industrial centers in Banyumas Regency. The craftsmen in Sokaraja Batik Center dispose of their waste water directly to a river named Kali Wangan. This study aims at figuring out the quality of Kali Wangan in dry and rainy seasons. The research is conducted along the Wangan River in January – November 2015. The research method used is survey with Purposive Random Sampling. The Kali Wangan water is sampled in four observation stations. The obtained data are analyzed descriptively and compared against the environmental quality standards. The research results show that the quality of Kali River water is found contaminated by the batik waste water, all parameters are below the class III standards quality based on Government Regulation Number 82 Year 2001 during dry and rainy season

The development of sharia banking in Indonesia very rapidly grow up preceded by Bank Muamalat Indonesia and in 2013 ranked as the bank with the highest loyalty and the best among other sharia banking nationally. Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch of Madiun is one of the first branch in Madiun and currently has many competitors from other sharia banking. Based on this background, in this study take what factors affect the size of customer loyalty Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch of Madiun. Based on the result of research, it is found that the level of loyalty of customer of Bank Muamalat of Madiun branch is mostly influenced by product innovation with value of t test value obtained by t-count 2,493, while second factor is influenced by service quality with result of tcount 2,268. So the least influenced factor by the value of the customer is with value of 2.217. This research is a descriptive research method and associative / relationship, this matter to know the value of independent variable. While population of this research is funding customer of Bank Muamalat Indonesia branch of Madiun with amount of 22.196 customer by taking data using random sampling method as much as 108 customer. The lack of clean water distribution by local water service (PDAM) of Palangka Raya city is the major reason for people around the final processing site/landfill (Tempat Pemrosesan Akhir) at Km 14 to use groundwater for their daily life. The landfill may cause pollution over groundwater known as leachate, which commonly unnoticed by its users. This study aims at assessing the quality of groundwater in that area. The groundwater was taken at different distances from the site in three rainless-days. The physical, chemical and biology parameters of groundwater are observed in the field (in situ) and analyzed in the laboratory, refers to water quality standard of Class I, according to Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001 and Minister of Health Regulation No. 32 of 2017. Public opinion on that issue is cached through interview. The results showed that the groundwater around the landfill in three rainless-days was harmless to be consumed as drinking water, and did not exceed the water quality standards stipulated by government in term of odorless, tasteless, and colorless. Some indicators also show that the groundwater meets the specified quality standards, i.e. TDS (17-68.14 mg/L), DHL (17,15-69.39 ?s), turbidity (0.11-2.50 mg/L), iron (0.227-0.71 mg/L), manganese (<0.0123-0.02 mg/L), coliform (<1.8-280 MPN/100 ml), while Pb and H2S were not detected. From community side, there are no any health complaints arise as long as they use the water.

Water quality is one of the crucial parameters in monitoring and evaluating watersheds. A large number of parameters causes the monitoring and evaluation of watershed performance to be less efficient and costly. This study aims to determine the main parameters as a method of simplifying water quality observation parameters by producing equations that can be used to predict the level of pollution of a non-point source pollutant (watershed). A sampling of surface water was carried out by purposive sampling at several outlets located in the Brantas and Upper Solo watersheds. The research parameters analysed were: TSS, TDS, BOD, COD, Phenol, Free Chlorineine, Sulfide, Arsenic, Fe, Pb, Phosphate, Nitrate, Nitrite, Detergent, Turbidity and E. Coli. The results of the analysis of water quality are used to calculate the value of the Pollution Index (PI) according to the Decree of the Minister of Environment No. 115 of 2003 and to determine the class of water quality standards that refer to Class III water quality standards, in Government Regulation No.82 of 2001. The analysis showed that all samples were at mild to moderate pollution levels, and did not meet class III water quality standards. Multiple regression analysis produced two equations, namely: Model 1: PI = 3.952 + 91.668 Phenol and Model 2: PI = 3.086 + 80.167 Phenol + 0.152 BOD, with R squared values of 53% and 69.9% with a confidence level of 0.005. Thus the prediction of pollution levels of similar watershed can be made only by using the two most influential parameters namely phenol and/or BOD alone.

AbstractThe objective of this study was to determine and evaluate the yield of four (4) diameter classes in function of quality of logs, in logwood processing of Cedrinho (Erisma uncinatumWarm.). 20 logs of four diameter classes between 46 and 85 cm were selected and classified in terms of quality, being 5 logs for each diameter class. Diameter class I resulted in the lowest yield and diameter class III showed the highest yield. Yield increased according to the diameter of the logs in classes I, II and III. Class IV logs with larger diameters had quality defects such as cracks and internal flaws, causing a small yield drop. It could be concluded that there was a correlation between diameter and yield.Keywords: Mato Grosso; sawmill; native wood; correlation. ResumoRendimento de madeira serrada em função de classes diamétricas e padrões de qualidade da tora. O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar e avaliar o rendimento em diferentes classes diamétricas em função da qualidade das toras no desdobro do Cedrinho (Erisma uncinatum Warm.). Foram selecionadas e classificadas quanto à qualidade 20 toras em quatro classes diamétricas, entre 46 e 85 cm, sendo cinco toras para cada classe diamétrica. A classe diamétrica I apresentou o menor rendimento e a classe diamétricaIII apresentou o maior. O rendimento aumentou de acordo com o diâmetro das toras na classe I, II e III. As toras da classe IV, com maiores diâmetros, apresentaram baixa qualidade, com defeitos como rachaduras e falhas internas, causando uma pequena queda no rendimento. Pode-se dizer que existe uma correlação entre diâmetro e rendimento. Palavras-chave: Mato Grosso; serraria; madeira nativa; correlação.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image and product quality on purchasing decisions on Mayoutfit Bandung products. The research method used for this research is descriptive verification. The population in this study was Mayoutfit Bandung followers of 1.2 billion, using simple random sampling with a sample size of 100 people.The results of this study indicate that: (1) Descriptive analysis of the Mayoutfit Bandung brand image shows results with good criteria with an average value of 3.53. (2) The results of descriptive analysis regarding the quality of Mayoutfit Bandung products show results with good criteria with an average value of 3.44. (3) The results of descriptive analysis of purchasing decisions show results with good criteria with an average value of 3.52. (4) There is a significant influence between brand image and product quality together on purchasing decisions. Based on the results of the F test, obtained an F count of 40.768. These results indicate that F arithmetic> F table (40.768> 2.36). This can be interpreted that the Effect of Brand Image and Product Quality together affect the Purchasing Decision.

The aims of this research were to know the water environmental quality and to determine the diversity and abundance of plankton in Youtefa and Yos Sudarso Bay. The Sampling was conducted from October 2012 to January 2013 at two observation stations of Youtefa Bay and four observation stations of Yos Sudarso Bay during the dry and rainy seasons. The Sampling of plankton in each observation stations were made horizontally using a plankton net size number of 25. Biological data are determined using diversity index, uniformity index, dominance index and abundance calculations. Physico-chemical parameters were analyzed descriptively by comparing the result data of research with waters quality standards for marine’s biota based on decree of Environment Minister No. 51 year 2004. The results of water quality showed that in general, the quality of aquatic environment in Youtefa and Yos Sudarso Bay did not comply with water quality standards for marine’s biota issued by The Minister of Environment of Republic of Indonesia. While based on the diversity index analysis, water quality in Youtefa and Yos Sudarso Bay was categorized as a half polluted-heavily polluted. Diversity of plankton in Youtefa and Yos Sudarso Bay during the dry and rainy seasons was categorized as low-medium. Abundance of plankton in Youtefa and Yos Sudarso Bay was in low category. Key words: Abundance, diversity, plankton, Youtefa Bay, Yos Sudarso Bay.

Water is very valuable resources that provide people and other living things. Besides the need for water for drinking, water resources play an important role in such as livestock, fisheries, water for irrigation and water recreation. However, water quality of the rivers may degrade due to the variation of land use as human activities increase. Cilutung watershed is dominated by the agricultural land use which in many studies shows that agricultural land use has a great impact on river deterioration. It does not affect only the physicochemical of water, the excessive amount of nutrient may harm the biotic ecosystem. The purpose of this study was assessing water quality of the rivers in Cilutung Watershed and the contributing factors using physicochemical and biological parameters. According to ANOVA and PPM calculations, water quality was affected by land use spatially and river discharge temporally. The overall results showed that the rivers were categorized as slightly polluted referring to WQI, BMWP, and Saprobic Index. In general, all water quality parameters measured in Cilutung watershed met water quality standard Class III as stipulated in Indonesia Government Regulation No. 82/2001. Therefore, water sources were still acceptable for fisheries, animal husbandry, and water for irrigation.

The increasing economic growth in Kenya has encouraged the growth of the leather sector. Kenya in its long-term vision to become an industrialized middle-income country by 2030, has identified the key role that the leather sector will play. There is a growing number of SMEs engaged in leather goods and footwear manufacturing around the country. A large number is involved in footwear manufacturing especially school shoes. This has been encouraged by local demand for affordable footwear. Even though production of leather footwear in the informal industry has increased over the years, the country’s local footwear has low market position both locally and internationally. The market share of the SME produced footwear has been attributed to low quality and poor workmanship of the products A survey was carried out to assess the quality of leather shoes produced by SMEs in Kariokor market, Nairobi. Data was collected from 20 respondents who constituted owners and managers of footwear workshops to ascertain if they have adopted the use of quality standards in their footwear fabrication and if their products conform to any laid down quality standards. The survey was carried out using simple random sampling method. The findings showed that none of the SMEs had adopted the use of quality standards and none of them had adopted Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBs) standards. As a consequence, there was no mechanism of ensuring and maintaining conformity to footwear quality. This study recommends increased sensitization of SMEs on the importance of quality standards and quality management system in shoe fabrication.

Clean water is an unlimited and sustainable need that must be fulfilled every day and meet an appropriate standard in terms of quantity and quality. The research objective in this study was to analyze the quality of water in thirty freshwater springs and twenty four brackish springs in the karst area of Buton Tengah Regency to achieve sustainable water resource management. Data on the quality of freshwater springs and brackish water springs chemically and biologically have been analyzed in the biology laboratory of FMIPA Universitas Halu Oleo, then the results are compared with the standards for water quality contained in the regulations of the Minister of Health and Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia. The results showed that the freshwater springs in Talaga Raya District exceeded the water quality standards for hardness parameter, while the brackish springs in Mawasangka Tengah, Mawasangka Timur, Lakudo, and Mawasangka Districts has exceeded the water quality standards for parameters of total dissolved solids, hardness, and chloride. However, these parameters are relatively easy to overcome so that the use of freshwater springs can qualify as drinking water, while the use of brackish springs should be used to meet domestic non-drinking water needs.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality, price and facilities on the satisfaction of class III inpatients, both partially and simultaneously. This research was conducted at Wijaya Kusuma Lumajang Hospital. The research method used in this study is Multiple Linear Regression. The results of this study indicate that partially the variable quality of service has a significant effect on the satisfaction of class III inpatients at Lumajang Wijaya Kusuma Hospital. Whereas for the price variable and facility variable there is no significant effect on the satisfaction of class III inpatients at Lumajang Wijaya Kusuma Hospital. From the results simultaneously, the variables of service quality, price and facilities have no significant effect simultaneously on the satisfaction of class III inpatients at Wijaya Kusuma Lumajang Hospital with a coefficient of determination (adjusted R2) obtained at 0.167. This means that 16.7% of patient satisfaction can be explained by independent variables, namely service quality, price and facilities, while the remaining 83.3% patient satisfaction is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. The limitations of this study are only examining the effect of variable service quality, price and facilities on patient satisfaction, while other variables that influence patient satisfaction are expected to be investigated by future researchers.
