The formation of immunogenetics as a science was the result of numerous studies on the study of blood groups and other polymorphic systems, the results of which are successfully applied both in animal husbandry and in animal breeding. Modern biotechnological methods used to analyze blood groups enable us to determine the true origin of animals. To determine the correctness of the breeding processes occurring in the breed, the antigenic composition of blood groups, which are also used to study the reliability of origin, needs to be studied. The results obtained make it possible to analyze genetic similarity, determine the level of polymorphism and the nature of structural changes in the result of breeding work. Also, by analyzing the distribution of the frequency of occurrence of antigens, it is possible to determine the genetic distances and genetic similarity of breeds and lines among themselves [1].

Agriculture is the most important area of economic activity for the production of products and services in order to provide the population with quality food, industry with raw materials and promote sustainable development of rural areas. In recent years, there has been a downward trend in the rate of agricultural development, which is lagging behind the growth rate of the Russian economy as a whole. Structural changes in the agro-industrial complex have not produced significant positive results, which is caused by a number of reasons. One of the directions of agricultural policy in Russia is the accelerated development of animal husbandry and increasing the competitiveness of domestic livestock products in the domestic market. The state program for the development of agriculture and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food provides for a set of measures for the priority development of animal husbandry. Implementation of these measures requires improved management in order to increase the efficiency of livestock production. The article considers aspects of the formation of accounting and analytical support for management of the livestock industry, economic and statistical analysis of trends and structural changes in the livestock industry. The best practices of Russian scientists in the field of accounting and agricultural Economics are summarized

This paper presents the results of analysis of the genetic variability of seven Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) populations in Serbia using SSR markers. Genomic DNA was isolated from seed tissue of all seven populations. The concentration of DNA samples was within the range of 1-4 mg/ml. Different PCR protocols were used depending on the type of SSR markers. The total number of fragments obtained by SSR analysis with 4 selected primers was 17 (only bands of strong and medium intensity were considered), of which 6 fragments were polymorphic (35.29%). In order to analyze the genetic similarity of the analyzed populations, graphs of correspondence analysis and UPGMA clusters were produced. By comparative analysis of the obtained dendrograms, the dependence of population genetic differentiation and spatial distance was observed, i.e. their isolation by natural barriers. The results indicate that in further research of interpopulation variability it is necessary, when graphically interpreting genetic distances, to use both methods of statistical analysis (UPGMA analysis and correspondence analysis).

История виноградарства на Дону насчитывает несколько веков, местные сорта винограда многообразны и специфичны. Микросателлитные маркеры широко используются для генотипирования сортов и подвоев винограда, при изучении происхождения сортов и анализе их родословной. Целью исследования было изучение выборки редких и малораспространенных автохтонных донских сортов и сравнение их с другими аборигенными донскими генотипами на основе данных ДНК-анализа. В исследования включены 23 стародавних донских сорта. Генотипирование проводили методом микросателлитного профилирования. В исследовании использовали микросателлитные маркеры (SSR), рекомендованные в качестве основного минимального набора для ДНК-паспортизации сортов вида Vitis vinifera L.: VVMD5, VVMD7, VVMD27, VVS2, VrZAG62 и VrZAG79. По результатам проведенного анализа все изученные образцы показали сорт-специфическую комбинацию аллелей в идентифицированных ДНК-профилях. Количество выявленных аллелей составило в среднем 8 аллелей/локус. Наибольший полиморфизм в исследовании этой группы донских сортов был обнаружен в локусе VVMD5: идентифицировано 10 аллелей на локус, наименьшее - в локусе VrZAG62: 6 аллелей/локус. Основываясь на данных SSR-анализа, степень генетического сходства сортов оценивали с использованием метода UPGMA. Кластерный анализ матрицы генетических дистанций, созданный на основе выявленных значений аллелей в шести микросателлитных локусах исследуемых сортов, определил несколько групп генотипов. Сорт Красностоп золотовский выделился в отдельную ветвь, что указывает на различия между этим генотипом и другими сортами исследуемой выборки. Наивысший уровень генетического сходства наблюдался между следующими парами сортов: Крестовский и Бургундский, Шилохвостый и Мушкетный, Кумшацкий черный и Ефремовский.The history of viticulture on the Don goes back several centuries. Local grapevine varieties are diverse and peculiar. Microsatellite markers are widely used in genotyping grapevine cultivars and rootstocks, in grapevine origin and breeding background analysis. Our study aimed to examine samples of rare and less common autochthonous Don varieties, and compare them with the other aboriginal Don genotypes using DNA data. The study involved 23 traditional Don varieties. The genotyping was done by microsatellite profiling. The study used microsatellite (SSR) markers recommended as the basic minimum set for DNA-certification of the genotypes of Vitis vinifera L.: VVMD5, VVMD7, VVMD27, VVS2, VrZAG62 and VrZAG79. Based on the findings, all the studied samples demonstrated variety-specific combination of alleles in the identified DNA profiles. The number of detected alleles on average was 8 alleles/locus. The greatest polymorphism in the studied group of Don varieties was detected in VVMD5 locus: 10 alleles per locus were identified, the smallest in VrZAG62 locus: 6 alleles/locus. UPGMA method was used to assess the extent of genetic similarity of the varieties based on SSR-genotyping data. Based on determined allele values of the studied varieties, cluster analysis of the genetic distances matrix determined several groups of genotypes. ‘Krasnostop zolotovskiy’ variety stood out as a separate branch, which indicates the difference between this genotype and the other varieties of the studied sampling. The highest level of genetic similarity was observed between the following pairs of varieties: ‘Krestovskiy’ and ‘Burgundskiy’, ‘Shilohvostyi’ and ‘Mushketnyi’, ‘Kumshatskiy chornyi’ and ‘Efremovskiy’.

Seventy European barley lines (Hordeum vulgare ssp. vulgare) and 29 Hordeum vulgare ssp. spontaneum accessions were evaluated for random amplified microsatellite polymorphism (RAMP). PCR was performed with 5'-anchored primers complementary to microsatellites in combination with random primers. Of 20 primers assayed in barley, only 9 produced well-resolved fragment patterns in H. vulgare ssp. spontaneum. On the basis of 56 polymorphic fragments, genetic distances between the two subspecies were calculated. Barley samples were subdivided according to growth habit and spike morphology. The smallest genetic distance was found between winter cultivars and accessions of H. vulgare ssp. spontaneum. The 20 primers assayed in the barley lines produced 140 polymorphic fragments that were used to calculate genetic similarity between lines. Mean genetic similarity within groups of lines ranged from 0.693 for 6-rowed winter barley to 0.657 for 6-rowed spring barley. Within these groups, mean values were significantly higher than mean genetic similarity between groups. Principal-coordinate analysis clearly separated the 2-rowed spring and 6-rowed winter types. Cluster analysis of spring and winter types showed subclustering consistent with the available pedigrees. Coefficients of parentage (COPs) were calculated for 29 spring and 20 winter lines. Mean values of 0.0741 for spring barley and 0.0458 for winter barley were obtained. RAMP-based genetic similarity matrices were compared with the corresponding COP-based matrices by the Mantel test. The correlation between them was poor (r = 0.21, P < 0.05), indicating little relationship between these two estimators of genetic similarity. The relative influence of factors involved in the calculation of these two estimators is discussed.Key words: genetic diversity, microsatellites, simple sequence repeats, fingerprinting, barley.

Third in a sibship of five, and the only survivor beyond the neonatal period, Francis Albert Eley Crew was born on 2 March 1886 in Staffordshire at Tipton, now part of the Birmingham conurbation. His father Thomas Crew, who later prospered in business, was at that time a grocer in a small way. Both his parents were devout nonconformists. At 3 1/2 years of age his formal education started at the local Board School from which he proceeded by scholarship first to the King Edward VI grammar school at Five Ways in Birmingham at the age of 10, then to the King Edward VI High School at Edgbaston, where, among other Fellows of the Society, the late Bishop Barnes was at one time a pupil. An inveterate pet-lover, he began breeding Brahma bantams while still a schoolboy, and won prizes at all the major poultry shows. Though as yet with no access to information about the science of animal breeding, he acquired at an early age a flair for animal husbandry to prove of much value when he became Director of an Institute for Genetical Research.

The objectives of this study are to carry out genetic monitoring of domestic reindeer of Nenets breed raised on the territory of Taimyr; establishment of the genetic bank of domestic reindeer of Nenets breed; as well as a comparative analysis with populations of the Nenets breed from other breeding regions (Nenets and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Murmansk Oblast and the Komi Republic) using DNA markers. The microsatellites were used in the studies as DNA markers of genetic diversity. Genotyping was carried out by the methods of the Laboratory of molecular selection basis of L.K. Ernst Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry. Statistical data processing was performed using the GenAlEx 6.5, SplitsTree 4.14.5 software, as well as the software packages “diveRsity”, “pophelper”, and “adegenet” for the R computing environment. As a result of the study, it was found that the population of reindeer of Taimyr breed in the village of Tukhard is characterised by the minimum level of polymorphism and genetic diversity, as indicated by the minimum values of all population genetic indicators. The authors assume that the patterns that have been identified are primarily the result of breeding programmes on the samples presented in this study (such studies have not been conducted before). The results of the PCA analysis and the phylogenetic dendrogram of genetic relationships, built on the basis of the matrix of Jost's D pairwise genetic distances using the NeighborNet, revealed a similar genetic structure of Taimyr populations, which, most likely, could be due to the close geographical localisation of the studied individuals. The authors come to the conclusion that a low level of both allelic and genetic diversity in the future may negatively affect the adaptation of animals to environmental conditions.

The contribution of doctor of agricultural sciences, professor, academician of NAAS M. V. Zubets to the establishment of the Institute of Animal Breeding and Genetics of NAAS, achieving the status of the leading scientific, methodical and coordination center in the animal husbandry was highlighted. It is proved that the scientists laid the foundation for the development of researches on the problem of rearing and breeding, genetics and biotechnology, the formation of the modern theory of breed formation in animal husbandry. Some of specialized breeds of cattle of milk and beef direction of productivity were created under his leadership thereby increasing the competitiveness of domestic livestock. M. V. Zubets organized one of the most prestigious schools of breeding beef cattle in Ukraine on the basis of the Institute.

In this study, the genetic relatedness of 12 cultivars of fig from different populations in Kurdistan region- Iraq were analyzed using eleven AFLP primers pairs combinations by using the technology of molecular analysis the DNA. Genetic similarity matrices were produced for the AFLP data to calculate genetic distances among their cultivars. Genetic similarity coefficient ranged from 0.1261 to 0.3905. The lowest genetic similarity was observed between Kola and Gala Zard (0.1261). The Hejeera Rash and Shela cultivars were most similar ones with a coefficient of 0.3905. Clustering based on AFLP data for the 12 fig cultivars was identified at the 0.32 similarity level. In the developed dendogram two main groups were found, the first one combined Ketek and Shela together, while the second group contained two sub group Shingaly and Benatty combined together, while in the other sub group cluster three other sub-group were identified. The results of this study may help in the formulation of appropriate strategies for conservation and cultivar improvement in figs, for which limited knowledge of the genetic diversity is available.
