Monitoring and supervision of factors that predominantly affect the successful implementation of quality management systems on the project will improve the quality of construction that provides a safety factor in the construction of a pilot plant nuclear fuel processing, to determine those factors is the aim of this research. The separation of Uranium, Thorium, and Rare Earth Metals Pilot Plant was used as a case of the research. Adopted descriptive research design were the primary data collected using questionnaires. Data collected analysed thought multiple linear regressions that only done on factors that have correlation strong – very strong. International Standard Organisation series 9001:2015 and International Atomic Energy Agency safety standards series No. GS-R3 were used as independent variables (X), contamination level was used as dependent variable (Y) that reflected project quality. The result is there are three factors that statistically significant influencing project quality: leadership and commitment, project planning, and safety culture. Those factors influencing the achievement of construction quality of the pilot plant uranium, thorium and rare earth element i.e. 92.3%, while the remaining 7.7% (100-92.3%) is determined by other variables.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate effectiveness of strategic sourcing for improving firm’s performance. Design/Methodology/Approach A cross-sectional approach was adopted with primary data collected. The data yielded a response rate of 375 from electricity firms in Kenya. The data collected were put through rigorous statistical analysis to test content validity as well as reliability. Further, simple linear regression model was used to test relationships between strategic sourcing and firm’s performance. Findings The finding suggests that a successful implementation of strategic sourcing improves firm’s performance through adoption of multiple sourcing strategies as well as maintaining manageable supply base. Further, the paper reveals that wrong choice of suppliers can negatively compromise the quality of products and services of the firm. Research limitations/implications Strategic sourcing is complex and very sensitive issue. While the study show the effect is generally accepted strategic sourcing strategies for improving firm’s performance, not all strategic sourcing strategies are covered in the study. Also, the study can be carried on in other sector in order refine the study findings. Originality/Value The study provides an empirical analysis on the strategic sourcing strategies and their effect on firm’s performance. The purpose of this paper is to explore the concept of blended learning, how to construct a blended learning program, the benefits of blended learning and some prerequisites to implement blended learning program successfully at HEIs in Bangladesh. Design/methodology/approach Nature of the study is explanatory, descriptive as well as evaluative. Primary data were collected through face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaire having both open- and close-ended questions including personal observations. Secondary data comprise relevant documents available from government agencies, archives, and library and research organizations. Findings By utilizing the blended learning tools, HEIs in Bangladesh can achieve radical improvements in education quality as well as in the accessibility and cost-effectiveness of learning programs. Moreover, any innovative educational reform will be successful only when it is fully accepted and adopted by all the key stakeholders: students, parents, teachers, academic administrators, researchers and policy makers. Practical implications Several practical solutions have been presented in this paper: how to create a blended learning program, how to overcome the obstacles for successful implementation of blended learning and how to create a flipped classroom with the aid of technology. Social implications A country’s soul and economic well-being depends to a large extent on the quality of their citizen’s education. Implementing innovative teaching programs within the education system will enhance the quality of education at HEIs in Bangladesh, creating more efficient labor force hence benefiting the overall society. Electronic health and medical records are widely adopted in many healthcare settings worldwide to improve the quality of care. Users’ perception is a significant factor influencing the successful implementation and use of e-health technologies. This systematic review aimed to identify factors influencing the perceptions of healthcare professionals towards the adoption and use of electronic health and medical record systems to improve the quality of healthcare services in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council. We identified primary studies evaluating healthcare professionals’ perception towards electronic health records and/or electronic medical records in the Gulf region. Seven electronic databases, including Medline, CINAHL, Informit Health Collection, Science Direct, ProQuest, PubMed, and Scopus were used to search for the relevant articles published between January 2007 and December 2016. Thirteen articles met the inclusion criteria and were included in this systematic review. Both individual and system-related factors were found to positively or negatively influence healthcare providers’ perceptions towards the systems. Understanding the impact of healthcare professionals’ perception of health information technology is important for policymakers involved in the implementation programs to ensure their success. Future studies should evaluate other individual characteristics such as age, gender, and profession of the healthcare providers on their perceptions towards e-health technologies.
