The purpose of this article is to present a theoretical reading of the nucleus of the ego, closer to the theory of the identity matrix by J. L. Moreno, deeply developing the Rojas-Bermúdez’s concept of incipient ego. I associate this egoic experience with the relationships established between the baby and its family nucleus, right after recognizing a minimally stable ego, in neuropsychological conditions to link itself to the maternal, paternal and fraternal images. According to this reading, the nucleus of the ego completes its structuring at the age of four, following the Rojas-Bermúdez School, after carrying out the process of synthesis of this nuclear matrix, from which the natural ego emerges and, later, the social ego, as a product of the triangulation and circularization of roles. The image construction technique is the method that supports the theory in question.

Throughout its history, the cinematic medium has shown great potential as an instrument of dehumanization and demonization. In this chapter, enemy image construction is investigated as both a discursive construct and a set of textual practices in popular film. Hoping to create effective villains for their stories, filmmakers accentuate such characters’ dangerousness and deviance to the social norm. The author provides a framework for the analysis of enemy image construction in cinema by offering an introduction into how villain-characters get formally articulated as enemies, and how such practices can be subjected to further scholarly analysis.

The Rich Kids of Instagram (RKOI) portray luxury lifestyles on social media. The potential roles of travel and transport within these online displays of affluence have not yet been examined. This paper’s purpose is to analyse how transport modes and luxury travel are depicted and interrelated through RKOI images. Co-occurrence analyses were conducted using a data set of Instagram posts with RKOI as a hashtag (2012–2018) to visualize the roles of transport modes and luxury travel in RKOI image construction. The findings demonstrate that both energy-intensive transport modes and luxury travel, whether through air/watercraft or luxury cars, play a vital role in signaling RKOI’s self-image on Instagram, with gendered differences. The article contributes an original conceptual model of how RKOI construct their image using transport modes and luxury travel. Implications for the social normalization of carbon-intensive transport choices, coupled with luxury destinations as a backdrop, are discussed.

This article examines how a resource bonanza in Ordos Municipality, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the 2000s translated into broad-based participation in informal lending networks and drove a remarkable, but short-lived, phase of urban expansion and private wealth accumulation. Local lending networks inflated enormous credit and property bubbles, which ultimately burst in 2011 with severe ramifications for Ordos's urban expansion and households' livelihoods. Based on fifteen months of ethnographic fieldwork in Ordos, the analysis advances the idea of “taking part” to explore the interconnected desires to participate in urban expansion and to seize for oneself a portion of the local bonanzas in natural resources, property, and finance. The socio-spatial impacts of the financialization of the everyday environment are discussed in relation to urban transformation, the production of a “ghost town,” and local authorities' opportunistic forms of deregulation. These were vital ingredients in Ordos's spectacular passage from boom to bust.

Corpo.Abstract: The main goal of this article it is to analyze which are the factors that determent the construction of the self-image in body building practitioners. The theoretical construction of this paper is based on the research of scientifically articles on the SCIELO data base with inclusion/exclusion criterias detailed on this paper later on, objectifying the selection of other papers that approach and contribute with the discussion about self-image. However, even though this is an up growing theme showed, the data base consulted shows that there are few researchers interested on this subject and that makes this kind of theme incipient. There are few articles in Portuguese that considers the Brazilian reality about self-image construction and the focus areas are psychology and physical education, but still considering diagnostic and pathology approaches instead of considering self-image as a constructive movement. The nature of this study is exploratory containing thirty respondents collected in the city of Nepomuceno in Minas Gerais, of two instruments: Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) and Figure Rating Scale (FRS). The analysis of the collected data is both qualitative and quantitative approaches and was realized on bases of contained analysis by closed web. It´s conclude that the construction of the self-image depends on the social and culture influences under a subjective rationalization and that to show of the perfect measures for others is more important than to have the perfect body for yourself. This is the prof that self-imagem is constructed towards others more that to ourselves. Keywords: Self-Image. Representation. Body.

The article attempts at detecting different meanings of the personal diary of Tatiana Rozhkova, a resident of post-war Tyumen, and various manifestations of the social and the individual reflected in it. It considers the ways of the author’s self-image construction and correlation of its facets in the space of the diary text. It is shown how the diarist’s addiction to propagandistic rhetoric of “culturalness”, transferred to the sphere of everyday life, was combined with her own understanding of culture. Rozhkova’s speculations on the mission of the Soviet intelligentsia and her attitude towards the representatives of the “uncultured” strata of the population testified that her social ideas were hierarchical. It is noted that the facade and “behind the facade” components of Soviet reality did not come into conflict in the text of the diary, which points to the diarist’s apolitical character. It is shown that the theme of labor / work, which was understood in two ways: as a collective feat and as individual creativity, became a borderline theme for the diary, where the socially conditioned and the individually significant overlapped and came into contact with each other. The creation of an autonomous private home space isolated from the outside world was especially significant for the diarist. The achievement of this goal was facilitated by the arrangement of Rozhkova’s apartment in accordance with the values of the nascent Soviet middle class with its passion for homeliness and comfort. It is concluded that the epoch in Tatiana Rozhkova’s diary manifested itself primarily in those rhetorical models and figurative patterns that were relevant at the time and served as models for the diarist.

This research aims to determine the construction of PDIP's image from the news framing on them as the party who has the most corrupted fraction members in the event of mass coruption case if the People’s Legislative Council (DPRD) of Malang City by the online media, Detik.com. This research is conducted through constructivism paradigm with the sudty of framing analysis by Robert M. Entman as a conceptual foundation with the framing concept of Entman, namely, define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendation from journalist side; using the theory of the social mass media as a theoretical foundation. The results of the framing carried out by the online media, Detik.com tend to be neutral in delivering their news on the mass corruption case of the DPRD of Malang City in construction the image of PDIP as the most corrupted party. This is because the media deliver both side cover, even Detik.com’s journalists already included opinions in the titles and selecting images in the news. Although Detik.com tends to be neutral, becase Detik.com just deliver the facts. The bad image construction of PDIP has been constructed already, as the news is considered to be a bad news model.
