AbstractThis study wants to find out how the diffusion of innovation occurs in Islamic boarding schools Sabilussalam, how these pesantren students decide to jointly use the Yaumi application. An application that provides Islamic features to support the improvement of a Muslim's worship. This study uses a phenomenological research method. Phenomenological research tries to explain the meaning of a concept or phenomenon in experience which is based on the consciousness of several individuals. In the innovation diffusion theory there are two main points, namely the diffusion elements of innovation and the diffusion decision process of innovation. The results of this study indicate that the process of acceptance and use of the Yaumi application by Sabilussalam students has passed the stages mentioned in the innovation diffusion theory.

Students at the age of primary education are faced with a challenge in using digital technology, namely (a) the ability to sort information that is suitable for use and follow; (b) addiction to digital technology and the internet; and (c) changes in behavior and character. The purpose of this study is to identify: (a) obtaining information from digital media by elementary school students; (b) the use of information from digital media by elementary school students using; (c) the challenges faced by elementary school students in obtaining information using digital media; (d) the expectations of elementary school students regarding learning using digital media. The research method used is the phenomenological research method. The results of the research, some students use digital literacy only to find information. Meanwhile, a few elementary students have carried out the learning process in the form of products from the use of digital literacy. Digital literacy can be a suitable learning medium in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, but its use must be monitored and limited.

Through Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 12 of 2020 the President has designated Covid-19 as a National Disaster. Handling Covid-19 requires good cooperation between elements, both society, government and state institutions. The President as an executive institution and the DPR as a legislative institution have very broad functions and powers in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Namely, by optimizing the functions and powers it has in dealing with Covid-19 by establishing policies that aim to overcome Covid-19 without bringing political interests. This study uses a phenomenological research method with a normative juridical approach. With a descriptive analysis thinking method that aims to explain what is happening in the community and the government's anticipation in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this study are that the executive and legislative bodies must be more maximized and more assertive in implementing policies to deal with covid-19.

It is generally difficult to define abstract concepts for students. However, perceptions related to abstract concepts or facts can be revealed using metaphors because people frequently express their emotions, ideas and perceptions by means of metaphors. Through metaphors, students can express what they want to say more effectively with fewer words. Metaphorical perceptions are verbal expressions of individuals related to their perceptions about the external world, and these may help them to reveal the current situation related to the concept on their minds. Energy is a complex concept since it is abstract as well as it concerns all scientific fields. The purpose of this study is to determine metaphorical perceptions of the engineering candidates about energy. The research was conducted using the phenomenological research method which is a qualitative research method. The research population consisted of 148 grade 3 students who were studying at Necmettin Erbakan University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture during the spring semester of Academic Year in 2016-2017. Considering the results of the research, the metaphors of the engineering candidates about energy were classified in 7 categories. These categories are; energy as the reason of existence, energy as an issue of physics, energy as the base of technology, energy as the base of development, energy as a non consumable substance, energy as a consumable substance and energy as a transformable substance.

AbstractIn an earlier article, Edwards (1991) tried to establish that the Duquesne Phenomenological Research Method (DPRM) was simply a particular type of Case Study research method (CSRM) and he also reproached users of the DPRM for not developing theory. This article rebuts both of Edwards's theses. DPRM is radically different from CSRM in logic and in execution and the article demonstrates that the development of theory is not at all the intent of DPRM. The basic difficulty is that Edwards attempts to understand DPRM from an empirical philosophical perspective whereas a phenomenological philosophical perspective is required to understand DPRM correctly.
