This research aims to examine whether Problem Based Learning approach is able to increase the creativity of fourth grade elementary school students.? (2) How to improve the process of student creativity through problem based learning in grade IV elementary school students?. This is a qualitative research in a Classroom Action Research (CAR) type. This research was conducted on the four grade learners at Public Elementary School Bogor city, West Java Province. The result shows that: First, learning outcomes or conceptual understanding on the use of natural resources in Indonesia, for Fourth grade, semester II before applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model in Social Science Subjects (IPS) is still low. Second, the application of the PBL Model in point one is carried out in two cycles. Third, Student learning outcomes in point one after implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model were proven to increase the students’ creativity in social studies learning, for example in cycle I, the average student learning outcomes were 68, then in Cycle II it increased to 78. Keywords: improvement, student creativity, social Sciences, PBL.

Science learning requires direct experience in order to develop the ability to explore and understand the natural surroundings scientifically. So far in elementary school at Bukittinggi, the process of learning science only memorizes facts, principles or theories. In science learning, students are not involved in finding or applying their own ideas and they do not instill the values contained in the learning. The science learning process in classroom is not yet fully in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. The teacher provides more material in the textbook without relating it to students' daily problems that are in accordance with the material, thus causing less interesting in learning. The teacher also has not actively involved all students in learning and emphasizes learning only on students who are smarter. The purpose of this study was to increase the activity and learning outcomes of science learning by using a problem-based learning model in SDN 11 Aur Kuning Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. This classroom action research was conducted in 2 cycles with the research subjects of grade IV students with totalling 25 people. The research data were collected through observation and tests. The effectiveness of actions in each cycle from the results of observations and tests is described and then reflected to take corrective action in the next cycle. In science learning, students' learning activities were observed, namely: visual activities, oral activities, writing activities, motoric activities and emotional activities. The research findings show that the problem-based learning model can increase student activity and learning outcomes.

This research is motivated importance of developing an integrated thematic teaching materials that can increase a student's progress in learning .. To overcome these problems it is necessary to find a solution in the form of the development of teaching . This solution is realized in the form of developing an integrated thematic teaching on problem based learning model is valid , practical , and effective . Designed teaching materials is a book teacher and student books .This type of research is the development of research using a model 4-D: the definition define, design, developing and disseminate. The results obtained, validation  of lesson plan gained an average of 3.6 in the category of very valid. Validation of teaching materials gained an average of  3.8 with very valid category. At this stage of the practicalities, the result that has practical teaching materials to be used. The use of integrated thematic teaching materials can enhance the activity and student learning outcomes. The student’s learning achievement reached 78,6%. The research finding shows that the integrated thematic teacher material is valid, practical, and effective to be used as one of the teaching materials in the fourth grade of elementary school. This classroom action research aimed to improve creative thinking skills and social studies learning outcomes by implementing problem-based learning model. This research was motivated by the low creative thinking and learning outcomes of the fifth grade elementary school students. Data on creative thinking and learning outcomes in this Classroom Action Research were collected through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The subjects of this study were 46 students of grade V. This research was carried out in two cycles with the research procedures consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that problem-based learning model improved the students’ creative thinking and learning outcomes for social studies material at grade V elementary school. This was showed in the increase of the creative thinking variable with an average initial condition value of 36.83 (creative enough), the first cycle of 43.04 (creative enough) and the second cycle of 45.07 (creative). The variable of students’ learning outcomes in the initial data showed an average value of 68.09, the first cycle was 70.33, and the second cycle was 78.59.

Based on the result of preresearch in the form of observation, interviews, and data on learning outcomes conducted in the fourth grade students at Nyi Ageng Serang Cluster Elementary school in Semarang, it was known that the social studies learning outcomes were not optimal because the learning model and media used were also not optimal. Although the teacher had used problem-based learning model, the students still had difficulties to identify problems and the media in the form of A4 print out pictures were not enough to help them. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of problem-based learning model assisted by blog media on the social studies learning outcomes in fourth grade students at Nyi Ageng Serang Cluster Elementary School in Semarang. This research used quantitative approach with the experimental type and nonequivalent control group design. The sample technique used cluster random sampling, with population of 172 students. The data collection used tests, observations and documentation. The hypothesis test result showed that the value of tcount = 4.007, and ttable = 2.009, because tcount ˃ ttable (4.007 ˃ 2.009) which means that the problem based learning model assisted by blog media was effective to increase the social studies learning outcomes of the fourth grade students. The n-gain test result of the experimental group was 0.40 categorized in medium criteria, whereas the n-gain test result of control group was 0.15, categorized in low criteria. The observation of students' activities using observation sheets showed the average score of the activity of experimental class students was 82%, which is better than the control class that only got 64%. The conclusion of this research is that the problem-based learning model assisted by blog media was effectively used in social studies learning in fourth grade students at Nyi Ageng Serang Cluster Elementary School in Semarang.

<p><em>The purpose of this research is to increase the creativity and learning outcomes of students in mathematics. To achieve the goal, the researcher used Classroom Action Research which was carried out in two cycles at Harapan Bangsa Elementary School. Data analysis techniques are qualitative and quantitative descriptions. The results of the research in the first cycle of creativity which was 4 were 11 students. In cycle II the average creativity increased, namely 30 students or 100% got an average of 4. Before being given the complete learning action, it was 46% or 14 students. After being given an action using the Problem Based Learning model assisted by a treasure map in the first cycle, the learning completeness increased to 77% or 23 students. In the second cycle, classical mastery of learning increased to 80% or 24 students. The increase in creativity and student learning outcomes is due to the teacher using the Problem Based Learning model well. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested to the principal to provide training in contemporary methods.</em></p>

The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes in the sum of different denominator fractions by using the Problem Based Learning model. The method used in this research is classroom action research using the Kemmis and Taggart spiral models, consisting of 4 stages, planning, action, observation, and reflection carried out with 2 cycles. The subjects of this study were grade IV students at GMIM 1 Woloan Elementary School with a total of 22 students, consisting of 10 male students and 12 female students. By using the Problem Based Learning learning model, data analysis shows that student learning outcomes have increased, where in the first cycle reached 63.63% while in the second cycle reached 85.04%. This shows an increase in learning activities. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded, that the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model can improve the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth grade students of GMIM 1 Woloan Elementary School on the summing material of different denominators
