The objective of this research was to investigate the effect of the learning models on learning achievement viewed from learning style types of the students. The learning models compared were PBL, GI, and classical with scientific approach model. The type of the research was quasi-experimental research with 3x3 factorial design. The population of this research was the students in grade X1 higher Secondary School in Lombok East on academic year of  2014/2015. The size of the sample was 282 students, which was taken by using stratified cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used for data collection were learning style questionnaire and mathematics achievement test. The hypothesis test used unbalance two ways analysis of variance. The results of the research were as follows. (1) the problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the  group investgation (GI) type with scientific approach result in equal learning achievement in mathematics, buth both problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the group investgation (GI) type give better result in learning achievement in mathematics than the classical with scientific approach. (2) the student with the high, medium, and ow independent learning levels have equal learning achievement. (3) in each of the learning models, the high, medium, and, low independent learning levels, result in the equal learning achievement. (4) in each of the independent learning levels, the problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the  group investgation (GI) type with scientific approach result in equal learning achievement in mathematics, buth both problem based learning model (PBL) and the cooperative learning model of the  group investgation (GI) type give better result in learning achievement in mathematics than the classical with scientific approach.

This article describes the improvement of students' creativity in learning to write drama script with Problem-Based Learning model (PBM). The research method used is Classroom Action Research. The results showed that students 'creativity, learning effectiveness, and students' interest experienced improvement in each cycle. The average value of student creativity cycle I 75,95, cycle II 86,59, and at cycle III 95,45. Based on the KKM determined that 75, cycles I, 19 students (43.18%) is not complete and 25 students (56.82%) thorough, cycle II, 36 students (81.82%) complete and 8 students (18.18%) is incomplete, and cycle III of all students is complete. Then, the effectiveness of learning also increases. The average value of teacher activity cycle I 2.05 (enough), cycle II 3.27 (good), and in cycle III 3.82 (very good). The average value of student activity in cycle I 2.05 (enough), on cycle II 3 (good), and on cycle III 3.68 (very good). In addition, student interest in learning also increased. The average score of student interest in cycle I 78.92 began to grow (MB), the average value of student interest questionnaire in cycle II 85.91 MB, and the average value of student interest questionnaire in cycle III 92.39 with the information already entrust (SM). Keywords: Writing drama script, creativity, effectiveness, interest.

Background: A large number of factors affect the learning process. Objectives: This study aimed to assess the relationship of learning styles and attitudes towards problem-based learning with academic success in preclinical medical students. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at the Medical Faculty of Ondokuz Mayıs University (Samsun, Turkey) during May 1st and 31st, 2019. First, second, and third-year students were included in the study. Survey was used as the data collection method. Grasha-Riechmann Learning Style Scale and Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Attitude Scale were included in the survey form besides a socio-demographics form. Overall, 612 (72.3%) students participated in the study. Results: The highest mean value regarding the learning styles of the medical students was related to the independent learning style, and the lowest mean value was related to the competitive learning style. It was determined that the independent learning style was more dominant in the preclinical medical students; there was a correlation between learning style and the attitude towards PBL. Also, there was a correlation between learning style and attitudes towards PBL and academic success. Independent and avoidant learning styles and attitudes towards PBL were found to be critical variables in predicting academic performance according to multiple regression analysis. Conclusions: It is important to raise awareness in educators and students on learning styles.

The study aims to (1) produce a integrative thematic learning module with PBL model which is viable, and (2) determine the effectiveness of the module towards the independent learning and learning outcomes of year five students of SD Negeri Pudjokusuman 1 Yogyakarta. This research was research and development. The subjects were teachers and students of year five students of SD Negeri Pudjokusuman Yogyakarta. Data analysis technique used paired sample t-test  and independent sample t-test with significance level of 0.05. The results of this study are (1) an appropriate integrative thematic learning module with problem based learning model. The proof of feasibility of the product is based on the test results of matter experts, the media experts test, the response of the teachers, and the response of the students. (2) The result shows that the developed module is effective to improve student’s independent learning and learning outcomes. It is based on the results obtained in the field trials showing p < 0.05 in cognitive learning outcomes and independent learning. Futhermore, based on the observation results student’s in affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of the students in experimental class have a higher percentage than of the control class.
