Despite the fact that the last few years have witnessed a growth of interest in pronunciation learning strategies (PLS) (e.g. Petersen 2000; Pawlak 2008a; Wrembel 2008), this line of inquiry still remains neglected and is in urgent need of further empirical investigation. This is because the available research findings are primarily confined to the identification and description of the strategic devices that learners draw upon in their attempts to learn the various segmental and suprasegmental features, with only a handful of studies addressing such issues as the factors influencing PLS choice and use, the impact of proficiency levels or the value of strategies-based instruction in this area. Another problem is related to the use of diverging research methodologies and data collection tools, which renders it impossible to make comparisons between various studies, view their results in a cumulative way and arrive at conclusions concerning the effectiveness of specific strategies used by learners. What appears to be indispensable to drive the field forward and ensure that research findings will be comparable across studies and provide a sound basis for feasible pedagogic proposals is to draw up a classification of PLS and design on that basis a valid and reliable data collection tool which could be employed to measure the use of these strategies in different groups of learners, correlate it with individual and contextual variables, and appraise the effects of training programs. In accordance with this rationale, the present paper represents an attempt to propose a tentative categorization of pronunciation learning strategies, adopting as a point of reference the existing taxonomies of strategic devices (i.e. O'Malley and Chamot 1990; Oxford 1990) and the instructional options teachers have at their disposal when dealing with elements of this language subsystem (e.g. Kelly 2000; Goodwin 2001). It also introduces a research instrument designed on the basis of the classification that shares a number of characteristics with Oxford's (1990) Strategy Inventory for Language Learning but, in contrast to it, includes both Likert-scale and open-ended items. The findings of a pilot study which involved 80 English Department students demonstrate that although the tool requires considerable refinement, it provides a useful point of departure for future research into PLS.

Research has been carried out with the title of the use of activity sheets of guided inquiry students with an environmental approach to improve students' understanding. The formulation of the problem in this study is whether there is an increase in students' understanding of the classification of animals after using inkuri worksheets guided by an environmental approach? while the purpose of this study is to improve students' understanding of animal classification material. This research is a type of quantitative research and is carried out in 7th grade students of SMPK. Yos Sudarso in August 2018. The research used a one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques use test techniques while data analysis uses score determination according to rubric and gain score. Based on the results of data analysis it is known that there is an increase in students' understanding of the material that is seen through an increase in scores from pretest to posttest. Reinforced with a gain score of 0.77 high category. This proves that the use of guided inquiry student activity sheets with an environmental approach can improve the understanding of grade 7 students of SMPK. <p>As construções em terra são soluções reconhecidas de baixo impacto ambiental. São construções duráveis, fortes, climaticamente eficientes, formalmente flexíveis e são compostas por recursos renováveis e reaproveitáveis favorecendo o desenvolvimento sustentável. Este artigo classifica as variações construtivas de aplicação da técnica de construção em terra superadobe. Também conhecido como “adobe ensacado”, “saco contínuo de terra estabilizada”, “<em>earthbag building</em>” ou “<em>Earth-filled bags</em>”, o superadobe consiste na técnica construtiva onde as paredes são construídas basicamente por sacos preenchidos com terra e areia empilhados, com arame farpado entre eles. A técnica foi desenvolvida como possível solução de construção na lua, depois foi aplicada pare resolver a problemática de habitação popular, atualmente é possível encontrar construções em superadobe robustas, com diferentes usos e com associações de outras técnicas construtivas. Este artigo tem por objetivo tabular as variações construtivas de aplicação da técnica de construção em terra superadobe já executadas, a fim de auxiliar pesquisas futuras no reconhecimento e superação dos limites e variações da técnica construtiva. O método é descritivo qualitativo, com investigação de cunho exploratório interdisciplinar, por meio de levantamento técnico em revistas especializadas em arquitetura, engenharia e sustentabilidade.</p><p><strong>Palavras-Chave:</strong> Superadobe, sustentabilidade, arquitetura, construção em terra.</p>

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui metode Program Fajar Indah yang ada di Radio Citra Progo dalam meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat, mengetahui klasifikasi da’i pengisi program Fajar Indah, serta pesan dakwah dari program Fajar Indah. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data digunakan penafsiran logika yang dihubungkan dengan konteks Komunikasi Penyiaran Islam. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Radio Citra Progo dalam program Fajar Indah menggunakan metode ceramah dengan pembawaan da’i yang santai ketika siaran. Adapun klasifikasi da’i dalam siaran dakwah ini, dapat dilihat dari wawasan keilmuan penyiar dalam menguasai Al Quran dan Hadist sebagai sumber hukum Islam dan kedisiplinan untuk menjalankan tugas sebagai da’i penyiar radio. Dalam siaran Program Fajar Indah terdapat pesan dakwah berupa materi Aqidah untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat kepada Allah, mengimani rukun Iman dan rukun Islam, serta materi Akhlak yang diperintahkan oleh Allah dan dicontohkan oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW, materi Ibadah yang menyampaikan tatacara beribadah kepada Allah meliputi hukum pernikahan, hukum bertetangga, shodaqoh, sholat, puasa dan menyampaikan materi tentang hari-hari besar umat Islam. This study aims to determine the methods of the Beautiful Fajar Program on Radio Citra Progo in improving people's religious understanding, knowing the classification of preachers for the Fajar Indah program, and preaching messages from the Fajar Indah program. This study uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. Data collection in this study uses observation, interview and documentation techniques. Data analysis used the interpretation of logic connected with the context of Islamic Broadcast Communication. The results showed that Citra Progo Radio in the Fajar Indah program used a lecture method with a relaxed nature when broadcasting. The da'i classification in this da'wah broadcast, can be seen from the broadcaster's scientific insights in mastering the Qur'an and Hadith as a source of Islamic law and discipline to carry out their duties as radio broadcast preachers. In the broadcast of the Fajar Indah Program there is a da'wah message in the form of Aqeedah material to increase public trust in God, faith in the pillars of faith and pillars of Islam, as well as moral material ordered by God and exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad, the material of worship which conveys the procedure of worship to God including marriage law , neighborly law, shodaqoh, prayer, fasting and delivering material about the Muslim holidays.

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui proses bimbingan keagamaan, fungsi bimbingan keagamaan serta hasil bimbingan keagamaan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari. Dengan pertanyaan penelitian 1) Bagaimana proses bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?, 2) Bagaiamana fungsi bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?, 3) Bagaimana hasil bimbingan keagamaan dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja di Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari?. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi, dikarenakan masalah yang diteliti perlu dilukiskan secara sistematis dan faktual dengan menggambarkan keadaan atau status fenomena. Hasil bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding School SMK PPN adalah munculnya aspek-aspek kecerdasan spiritual pada remaja seperti kesadaran untuk menghayati proses ibadah bukan sebagai pengguguran kewajiban, terbiasa berperilaku baik, memiliki prinsip keadilan, memiliki prinsip kebenaran, mampu mengambil hikmah dari musibah yang dihadapinya, bersikap fleksibel, bersikap kritis dan merenungkan penyebab serta alasan segala sesuatu terjadi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan keagamaan di Boarding Schoool SMK PPN memiliki peranan yang sangat menunjang dalam meningkatkan kecerdasan spiritual remaja. The purpose of this study is to find out how the proccess of islamic guidance, function of islamic guidance, and result of islamic guidance to increase SpritualQuetiont in adolescence. With research questions 1) How the proccess of islamic guidance to increase spiritual quetiont on adolescence ?, 2) What is the function of islamic guidance to increase Spiritual Quetiont on adolescence?, 3) How are the results of islamic guidance to increase Spiritual Quetiont on adolescence?. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive approach with subject and object of research is guidancer. While the data collection tool in this study through observation, direct interview and written interviews. From the results of research conducted at Boarding School SMK PPN Tanjungsari, it appears of Spiritual Quetiont in adolescents. Such as the behavior of living the worship process, get used to behave well, be fair, be wise, able to take lessons from the difficulties they experienced, be flexible, be critical. So, we can conclude that islamic Guidance has a very supportive role in increasing adolescent Spiritual Quetiont.

Monitoring data at the Ugandan Salama SHIELD Foundation revealed perfect repayment rates in its microfinance program. But rather than take these data at face value, a diligent program officer set out to determine if the data might be concealing other stories. In his efforts to investigate the truth behind the data, he made a number of decisions about what data to collect—and, importantly, what not to. But, as this case demonstrates, actionable data is only half the story; right-fit resources and systems are necessary to turn data into action. Readers will think critically about what data are necessary to answer key operational questions and will design data collection instruments to deliver these data. They will also consider ways of applying the CART principles to strengthen the data collection system and determine where the organization should focus its monitoring efforts.

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of the instruction process using the flipped classroom (FC) model within the scope of Computer Networks and Communication course. Theoretically, the community of inquiry model was taken as a reference and the effectiveness of the instruction process was evaluated accordingly. Students were preservice teachers studying Computer Education and Information Technology in the third grade in the Van region in Turkey. There were a total of 19 students, of which 12 are male and seven are female. FC process was carried out in the spring semester of 2018–2019 and lasted 11 weeks in total. A mixed-method design was used to gathering the data. Therefore, the research design was an explanatory design from mixed-methods designs. The quantitative data collection tool was the Turkish version of the Community of Inquiry Survey. The quantitative data were analyzed by dividing the students into very low, low, high, and very high levels. The qualitative data collection tool was the interview form created concerning the community of inquiry model. The qualitative data were analyzed by the use of the community of inquiry coding template's themes. At the end of the instruction process, students had a very high level of cognitive, social, and teaching presence perception. This situation was detailed and supported with the qualitative data obtained. Concerning the cognitive presence, the students firstly talked about that they started the learning process with videos. Regarding the social presence, they mentioned the motivating effect of the questions. About the teaching presence, participants firstly mentioned the direct instruction role of the videos.
