Abstract The article considers the characteristics of tomato vegetable culture when growing it in the open ground in the soil and climatic conditions of the Astrakhan region. The total demand of tomatoes for macronutrients – nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in the context of the planned yield from 40 to 100 tons per hectare, taking into account the availability of mobile forms of nutrients in the soil, is shown. The average doses of the main fertilizer application during the preparation of the soil for tomatoes, the timing and doses of fertilizing tomatoes with nitrogen fertilizers when they are applied with fertigation during sprinkling and the fertigation program for drip irrigation of tomatoes for processing are presented.

Frequent application of nitrogen fertilizers through irrigation is likely to increase the concentration of nitrate in groundwater. In this study, the HYDRUS-2D/3D model was used to simulate fertilizer movement through the soil under surface (DI) and subsurface drip irrigation (SDI) with 10 and 20 cm emitter depths for tomato growing in three different typical and representative Egyptian soil types, namely sand, loamy sand, and sandy loam. Ammonium, nitrate, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers were considered during simulation. Laboratory experiments were conducted to estimate the soils’ adsorption behavior. The impact of soil hydraulic properties and fertigation strategies on fertilizer distribution and use efficiency were investigated. Results showed that for DI, the percentage of nitrogen accumulated below the zone of maximum root density was 33%, 28%, and 24% for sand, loamy sand, and sandy loam soil, respectively. For SDI with 10 and 20 cm emitter depths, it was 34%, 29%, and 26%, and 44%, 37%, and 35%, respectively. Results showed that shallow emitter depth produced maximum nitrogen use efficiency varying from 27 to 37%, regardless of fertigation strategy. Therefore, subsurface drip irrigation with a shallow emitter depth is recommended for medium-textured soils. Moreover, the study showed that to reduce potential fertilizer leaching, fertilizers should be added at the beginning of irrigation events for SDI and at the end of irrigation events for DI. As nitrate uptake rate and leaching are affected by soil’s adsorption, it is important to determine the adsorption coefficient for nitrate before planting, as it will help to precisely assign application rates. This will lead to improve nutrient uptake and minimize potential leaching.

Analysis of modern scientific literature and patents has shown the absence of acid-free production technology of a mechanically activated multicomponent mineral fertilizer containing water-holding substances. Experimental researches connecting with mechanochemical activation and physicochemical properties of Karatau phosphorites prove a possibility of development of a new multicomponent mineral fertilizer. Application of inorganic and organic activators considerably improves qualities of fertilizers because the developed fertilizer mixtures contain nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, humate and microelements. The suggested technology intends to use wastes of coal mining that leads to presence of humates and microelements in the end product. It was determined, that content of total nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium depends on a form of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium-containing substances. The given article contains data of researches connecting with use of multicomponent mineral fertilizers in field conditions for cotton cultivation on irrigated light sierozems consisting of soil-forming rocks of loess and loess-type clay loams. The research results show the increase of soil’s fertility and cotton’s productivity. Studying of agronomic efficiency of the new kinds of mechanically activated multicomponent mineral fertilizers at the cultivation of a bean-cereal mixture has been carried out in the Negorelsk experimental nursery-garden of the Belarus State Technical University on a sod-podzol sandy-loam soil and has shown the essential influence on productivity and quality of the bean-cereal mixture. The researches fulfilled on a sod-podzol sandy-loam soil have revealed the essential increase of key indicators of feed productivity. Application of the mineral fertilizers has promoted increase of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content in green plants. In so doing content of calcium and magnesium in green mass depends from quantity of the fertilizer used to a smaller extent. An essential difference of crop capacity and feed productivity indicators depending on forms of the applied mineral fertilizers has not been found.

Наличие микроэлементов в почвах нашей страны находится в большом дефиците, что не позволяет оправдать биологический потенциал продуктивных показателей основных сельскохозяйственных культур. Цель исследований научное обоснование выбора наиболее эффективного способа применения комплексных жидких удобрений с микроэлементами в хелатной форме для формирования плотности агроценоза, посевных качеств и биохимического состава семян яровой пшеницы. Установлено, что в среднем за два года исследований полевая всхожесть яровой пшеницы на фоне естественного плодородия находилась в пределах 73,8-78,4, а на фоне внесения азофоски она составила 73,6-79,3. Наибольшее количество сохранившихся растений к уборке отмечено как на фоне без внесения удобрений, так и на фоне минерального питания в вариантах с обработкой семян Мегамикс-семена и Мегамикс-Профи в фазы кущения и колошения 386 и 388 растений на 1 м2. Микроэлементные удобрения оказали влияние на массу 1000 семян, энергию прорастания, лабораторную всхожесть и силу роста. При выращивании данной культуры на фоне внесения N16P16K16 масса 1000 семян увеличилась на 10,1 по вариантам опыта, энергия прорастания 9,4, лабораторная всхожесть на 6,9, масса 100 ростков на 17, а длина ростка 18,9. Биохимический состав зерна показывает запас питательных элементов: белка, азота, фосфора и калия, наибольшее количество которых накопилось в зерне яровой пшеницы, выращенной при обработке семян и посевов удобрениями Мегамикс-семена и Мегамикс-Профи .There is a great shortage of trace elements in the soils of our country, which does not justify the biological potential of the productive indicators of the main crops. The research objective is the scientific substantiation of the choice of the most effective way of applying complex liquid fertilizers with microelements in chelated form to form the density of agrocenosis, seedlings qualities and biochemical composition of spring wheat seeds. It was established that, on average, over two years of research, the field germination of spring wheat against the background of natural fertility was in the range of 73.8-78.4, and against the background of the application of nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer it amounted to 73.6-79.3. The largest number of plants remained for harvesting was noted both against the background without fertilizer application and against the background of mineral nutrition in the variants with seed treatment with Megamix-seeds and Megamix-Profi in the tillering and heading stages - 386 and 388 plants per 1 m2. Micronutrient fertilizers influenced the weight of 1000 seeds, germination energy, laboratory germination and growth power. When growing this crop against the background of N16P16K16 application, the weight of 1000 seeds increased by 10.1 according to the experimental variants, germination energy - 9.4, laboratory germination by 6.9, weight of 100 sprouts - by 17, and sprout length - 18.9. The biochemical composition of the grain shows a supply of the following nutrients: protein, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, the largest amount of which was accumulated in spring wheat grain grown during the treatment of seeds and crops with fertilizers Megamix-seeds and Megamix-Profi.

The article explores the biotechnological potential of growing Torch tomatoes in the territory of Dagestan. The characteristics of the hybrid varieties of tomatoes Torch are given. The comparative characteristic of yield indicators of tomato varieties Torch with other varieties cultivated in the southern part of Russia is presented. Five universal soil fertilizer schemes and their application regimes for growing tomatoes were tested as part of the field experiment. The most optimal ratios of the application of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium for fertilizing soils and fertilizing plants, as an alternative to natural organic nitrogen fertilizers. It is proved that with the introduction of mineral fertilizers against the background of the aftereffect of manure in the soil, the content of nitrates, mobile phosphorus and exchange potassium increases. The influence of the timing of the use of fertilizers on the accumulation of dry matter and the area of the assimilation surface of tomatoes of the Torch variety during the growing season was studied. The dependence of the yield of commodity fruits of the Torch tomato on the doses and timing of the use of fertilizers was established. The effect of fertilizers on individual biometric indicators of Torch tomato plants on the period of mass ripening of fruits is shown; individual indicators of the quality of the Torch tomato fruit in full ripeness are determined depending on fertilizers. It has been shown that the application of fertilizers ensures the yield of fruits of sown tomatoes of the Torch cultivar at the level of 480-500 centner, and also that the tomato plants of the Torch cultivar form the maximum assimilation surface during the period of mass fruit formation. It is shown that the amount of nitrates in the fruits, regardless of the background of cultivation, does not exceed their maximum permissible concentration; in practice, the high yield of tomatoes Torch cultivar in the climatic conditions of Dagestan has been proved.

The nutritional requirements of Eucalyptusgrandis Hill ex Maiden seedlings were studied in glasshouse pot experiments. Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) demand was assessed by bioassays, in which the uptake of tracers (15N, 32P, or 86Rb) by roots excised from the seedlings grown at different levels of nutrient supply was measured. A pilot study showed that there was an inverse relationship between nutrient supply and influx. The measured influx was affected by the length of time that the roots were stored before the bioassay was applied. In a 33 N, P, and K factorial nutrient experiment, growth was primarily influenced by N. Maximum growth occurred at the highest level of supply of each of the three nutrients. N and K influx in the root bioassay was inversely related to foliar N and K concentration, but P uptake was not related to foliar P concentration. These results indicate that the root bioassays are more sensitive determinants of nutrient limitation than. foliar analysis. Interactions between N and P and between N and K alter the stem:leaf ratio, which may be of importance in optimizing wood production.

The article presents the results of research conducted during 2016-2019 on the impact of different rates of mineral fertilizers and by-products of the predecessor on the content of chemical nutrients in plants and the yield of maize hybrids in the Forest-Steppe. The aim of the research was to establish the peculiarities of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium accumulation in maize plants in ontogenesis in relation to the yield of hybrids of early and middle-early maturity groups to optimize the mineral nutrition of the crop. The research was conducted on dark gray wooded soil using field, chemical, calculation-weight and mathematical-statistical methods. According to the stages of growth and development of BBCH, the peculiarities of the dynamics of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content in plants of hybrids with FAO 190 and 280 depending on the agrochemical load of growing technology are established. Varietal regularities of concentration of chemical elements in maize plants in connection with the accumulation of dry matter by crops in ontogenesis and yield were revealed. Hybrids with the corresponding genetically determined level of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium content in plants have been identified and its influence on the realization of genotype productivity potential has been shown. The decisive role of potassium and nitrogen in the formation of the corn crop on dark gray wooded soil has been experimentally proved and confirmed on the basis of statistical and correlation analyzes. All hybrids were characterized by high tightness of correlations between yield and content in plants of nitrogen (r = 0.760–0.934) and potassium (r = 0.755–0.943) during the growing season as opposed to phosphorus, where these connections were of medium strength (r = 0.334–0.589) and only partially close (r = 0.702–0.806). According to the results of plant diagnostics of mineral nutrition of plants, the most effective growing technologies with different agrochemical loading are singled out, which ensure the yield of early and middle-early maize hybrids in agro-climatic conditions of the Forest-Steppe at 9.56–10.39 and 11.21–12.10 t/ha.

To study the effects of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) fertilizers on the yield of ‘Jianbao’ pumpkin (Cucurbita maxima Duch), we conducted experiments using the “3414” optimal design scheme in Dehua County, Quanzhou, Fujian, China. Overall, three fertilizer factors (N, P, K) were tested with four fertilization levels (level 0, no fertilizer; level 1, 0.5-times the typical fertilizing amount; level 2, typical fertilizer application; level 3, 1.5-times the typical application), with a total of 14 different fertilization treatments. Based on the results of this study, a corresponding fertilization performance model was established to provide a practical basis for ensuring highly efficient cultivation of pumpkin in the field. Our results showed that the experimental data could not be fitted with a ternary quadratic polynomial fertilizer model, but that it could be fitted with a single-variable quadratic fertilizer model. According to the fitted model, pumpkin yield first increased and then decreased with the increasing amount of N, P, and K used. We identified significant regression relationships between ‘Jianbao’ pumpkin yield and the amount of N, P, and K in the fertilizer. Finally, based on the single-variable quadratic fertilizer model, we suggest that the quantities of N, P, and K fertilizer used for growing 1 ha of ‘Jianbao’ pumpkin should be 390.5, 213.8, and 371.3 kg, respectively.

Greenhouse trials were conducted to evaluate the effects of  siam weed (chromolaena odorata) and cowdung compost on  physicochemical properties, yield and mineral nutrition of tomatoes(lycopersicon esculentum l). The nutritional value of tomato makes it one of the crop that is a daily household consumption by every family.Compost was prepared in this study from Siam weed (Chromolaena odorata) and cowdung. Three compost samples were prepared from Cowdung and siam weed at ratio 100g: 100g (sample A),  200g chopped siam weed (sample B) and 200g cowdung (sample C). These three samples were composted in plastic drums perforated for aeration and each sample was replicated three times. The content in the drums were regularly turned and monitored at 1, 10, 30 and 60 days for physicochemical properties. The physicochemical and mineral element analyses of the compost were carried out using standard procedures.The pH of the composted samples ranged between 5.8 to 6.9. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium contents increased with days of composting while those of heavy metals decreased. The result of plant height for the two varieties ranges  between 5.31-119.8, number of  fruits is between 11-21 and the yield (kg) parameter ranges between 0.76-1.91. Treatment. A gave higher mineral element over other treatment applied. The order of mineral elements contributed to the fruits were as follows treatments A>C>B>D
