Abstract The paper discusses the most important property of the land – soil fertility, which characterizes it as a productive force and the main means of production, as well as a price-forming factor. This ability is the main specific feature of agricultural land. Fertility is understood as the ability of the soil to provide a crop, the level of which depends on the objective properties of the soil itself, climatic conditions and farming culture. This property is the result of soil-forming natural processes, and when used in agriculture, it is also the result of cultivation. It has a huge impact on the value of an agricultural land plot as an object of valuation.

N extreme climatic conditions and the unsatisfied state of agricultural land fertility in the Selenga Region, a decline in the production of crop and livestock products is observed. It should be noted that the production volumes of farms comprise agricultural production in the structure of production. district products - 25.2%. In such circumstances, the main factor in the development of the region’s economy and increasing soil fertility should be the organization of the rational use and protection of the land of peasant farms, main agricultural producers in the region.

The historical effects of land development on water management currently require a new approach, in many cases involving attempts at the restoration of the quasi-natural state. This is evident in reference to many regions in Poland, where the hydrographic network has been diminishing over the centuries, among others in favour of obtaining new agricultural land. Such activities overlap with natural processes causing transformations of the hydrosphere. The most serious problems currently include water deficits resulting from climate change and human activity. This paper employed archival bathymetric maps from the beginning of the 20th century for the determination of the scale of changes in the morphometric parameters of six lakes in western Poland. It was determined that over a period of more than a hundred years, the surface area (12.2%) and original volume of water bodies (13.9%) were largely reduced. This situation was caused by both natural (overgrowing and shallowing) and anthropogenic (change in water level) factors. The obtained information points to the need of an inventory of historical bathymetric maps of lakes. In combination with modern research, this will allow for the determination of changes in the water resources of lakes and, in a longer-term perspective, potential possibilities of their renaturisation. This knowledge is important in the context of the reconstruction of water resources in the territory of Poland, where their deficits are recorded increasingly frequently. It should also be emphasised that the restoration of the natural capacity of water retention in lakes is a more economical solution and, most importantly, it is not invasive for the environment.

The seasonal changes in the skin thickness and structure of the horses’ coat, as signs of adaptation to environmental factors, were studied. The experiment was carried out with the livestock kept in a herd using winter-grazing technology without additional feedings in the climatic conditions of the Trans-Baikal Territory. The objects of the research were adult mares of Zabaikalsky breed of horses of the same age, class and fatness. The studies were carried out in the middle of each season (May, July, October, February). The length of the coat was measured with a caliper, the coat itself with the determination of the ratio of hair (fl uffy hair, heterotype hair and coarse hair) and the thickness of the skin fold were measured in accordance with the approved methodological recommendations. The minimum skin thickness in winter was detected in mares on the back and shoulder blade – 4.3 and 4.4 mm, the maximum – on the side and thigh – 4.5 4.6 mm. When compared with the summer period, the increase on the side was 0.8 mm, whereas on the back, shoulder blade and thigh – 0.4 mm (p ≤ 0,001). In spring, thickening of the skin was noted within 0.1-0.3 mm in the same topographic areas, compared to autumn. The quantitative indicators of the coat changed depending on the season of the year. In winter, the coat contained more fl uffy hair (23.10%), and less coarse hair (68.24%), in summer there was a lower content of fl uffy hair (4.33%), but more coarse hair (94.01%.) Sharp seasonal changes were noted with regard to the length of the hair. The longest hair was found in winter and spring – 4.96 and 4.26 cm, whereas the shortest – in summer and autumn – 0.94 and 1.90 cm, respectively.

Faba bean (Vicia faba L.) maintain third place with respect to area and production among legume. Its unique ability to excel under all most all type of climatic conditions, it is one of the best performing crops under changing climate scenario. Its soil fertility augmenting potential and their performance was evaluated for two years with 73 accessions collected from Bihar. This study provides glimpses of scope and magnitude of soil fertility improving potential of faba bean (Vicia faba L.)

It is well established that nitrous oxide (N2O) and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from agricultural land are influenced by the type of crop grown, the form and amount of nitrogen (N) applied, and the soil and climatic conditions under which the crop is grown. Crop rotation adds another dimension that is often overlooked, however, as the crop residue being decomposed and supplying soluble carbon to soil biota is usually from a different crop than the crop that is currently growing. Hence, the objective of this study was to compare the influence of both the crop grown and the residues from the preceding crop on N2O and CO2 emissions from soil. In particular, N2O and CO2 emissions from monoculture cropping of corn, soybean and winter wheat were compared with 2 -yr and 3-yr crop rotations (corn-soybean or corn-soybean-winter wheat). Each phase of the rotation was measured each year. Averaged over three growing seasons (from April to October), annual N2O emissions were about 3.1 to 5.1 times greater in monoculture corn (2.62 kg N ha-1) compared with either monoculture soybean (0.84 kg N ha-1) or monoculture winter wheat (0.51 kg N ha-1). This was due in part to the higher inorganic N levels in the soil resulting from the higher N application rate with corn (170 kg N ha-1) than winter wheat (83 kg N ha-1) or soybean (no N applied). Further, the previous crop also influenced the extent of N2O emissions in the current crop year. When corn followed corn, the average N2O emissions (2.62 kg N ha-1) were about twice as high as when corn followed soybean (1.34 kg N ha-1) and about 60% greater than when corn followed winter wheat (1.64 kg N ha-1). Monoculture winter wheat had about 45% greater CO2 emissions than monoculture corn or 51% greater emissions than monoculture soybean. In the corn phase, CO2 emissions were greater when the previous crop was winter wheat (5.03 t C ha-1) than when it was soybean (4.20 t C ha-1) or corn (3.91 t C ha-1). Hence, N2O and CO2 emissions from agricultural fields are influenced by both the current crop and the previous crop, and this should be accounted for in both estimates and forecasts of the emissions of these important greenhouse gases. The main trends in changing the land use structure in the territory of the Klyazma River basin were de-scribed in the article. Using GIS technologies and remote sensing data the areas of land with different land use regimes in the studied territory were determined in the period from 2001 to 2019. The indices of LAI and FPAR phytoproductivity for the territory of the Klyazma basin as a whole, and for each basin included in it were determined. The analysis of the dynamics of changes occurring in the structure of land use is carried out. For the territory of Vladimir region, which is a part of the Klyazma River basin, an assessment of soil types distribution over occupied area was carried out. An integral indicator of soil fertility was calcu-lated on the basis of statistical data of agrochemical indicators. The fraction of fallow lands decreased by 2019 and it amounts 33.76% of the total area of the studied territory. The fraction of mixed forests increased from 38.48% in 2001 to 44.50% in 2019 due to the formation of fast-growing tree species shoots on fallow lands. The area of meadow vegetation for the period from 2015 to 2019 decreased by 3.5%, from 4 276 to 3 121 km2, due to agriculture degradation and a significant decrease in livestock grazing. The indicator of soil fertility for the Klyazma basin was 0.74, which is a high indicator. It is established that the most active decrease in the agricultural land area occurs in the central, north-western and western parts of the river basin.

The land use has undergone some changes in the last 30 years, by reducing the areas with arable land, converting multi-annual plantations into other categories of land, etc. According to the current mode of land use, the Northern Development Region has a pronounced agricultural profile - 80.3% of the total area represents agricultural land. The spatial differentiations regarding the morphological and agro-climatic conditions allowed the identification within the region of areas with agro-forestry and agro-pastoral specializations.

The research object. The hydrological characteristics of the Gunt and Vanch rivers belonging to the Southwestern and Central climatic zones of the Pamirs and are tributaries of the transboundary Pyanj River are considered. Long-term average values of temperature and precipitation as the main factors affecting the formation of river flows are determined for the period 1944–2016. The state of glaciation in the basins of the respective rivers is estimated. Goal. A comparative assessment of the influence of climatic features and mountain orography on the formation of river flows. Determination of the trend of changes in the climatic conditions of the Gunt and Vanch river basins at different periods of more than 70 years (1944–2016). Research methods. Generalization, systematization of meteorological and hydrological characteristics and determination of their change compared with the base period 1960–1990. Statistical processing of meteorological and hydrological data and establishing a trend of changes in climatic and hydrological characteristics using a differentiated method. Research results. It is shown that the nature of changes in hydrological characteristics, namely the flow of rivers in different climatic zones of the Pamir can differ significantly. On the example of two rivers (Gunt and Vanch) - tributaries of the transboundary Pyanj river, it is shown that the trend of change in the flow of the Gunt river differs from the Vanch river due to the state of glaciation of the river basin. To explain the results the meteorological conditions of the respective river basins and their possible impact on river hydrology were studied. Conclusion. The hydrological characteristics of the Gunt and Vanch rivers in the Pamirs taking into account the meteorological conditions of the respective river basins show that a key factor in improving the state of glaciation and reducing degradation processes, as well as achieving positive trends in the mass balance of glaciers is the presence of sufficient air mass in the glaciation zone. Naturally, this is the key to ensuring a sufficient amount of runoff.

Наведено результати багаторічних досліджень і узагальнено сучасний стан родючості земель сіль-ськогосподарського призначення Полтавської області. Проаналізовано динаміку забезпечення ґрунтів ґумусом (органічною речовиною) й надані рекомендації щодо подальшого їх призупинення деградації та відновленню. Лабораторними дослі-дженнями протягом 2001–2010 років визначено, що інтенсивна, науково необґрунтована система землеробства призводить до більш високих темпів втрат ґумусу. Вміст ґумусу в області за два останні тури обстеження знизився. За даними VIII туру обстеження, середній вміст його стано-вить 3,39 %, проти 3,26 % у IX турі, тобто змен-шився на 0,13 абсолютних відсотка. Визначено, що навіть за комплексного підходу внесення органіч-них речовин баланс рівноваги елементів живлення в ґрунті порушується. І тільки застосування ком-плексу органічних і мінеральних добрив та наси-чення сівозміни бобовими культурами (соя, горох, багаторічні трави), дотримання науково обґрун-тованої системи землеробства дає змогу підвищити якість земель. The publication presents the results of long-term studies and summarizes the current condition of soil fertility of agricultural land in Poltava Region.  The dynamics of providing soils of the Poltava area with the boron is analyzed and the recommendations in relation to their further stopping degradation and to renewal is given. During 2001–2010 laboratory researches detected, that content of the boron in soils of area for two last rounds of inspection did not change. According to the information of the VIII round of inspection, the average content of the boron is made by 1,05 mgs/kg of soil, against a 1,11 mg/kg in the IX round.

Land is a form of gift given by God, but human has given brain to think the challenges of live like the land problems, so that the government tries to regulate it properly. The problems in this thesis are: 1) How to regulate ownership of agricultural land rights that exceeds the maximum limit based on Act No. 56 (Prp) of 1960 concerning the Determination of Agricultural Land Areas? 2) How is the action taken by the Land Office towards ownership of agricultural land rights that exceeds the maximum limit? The method used is juridical empirical, with descriptive analytical specifications. The method used in this research is an empirical juridical approach. The results of this study are: (1) The regulation of ownership of agricultural land rights that exceeds the maximum limit is based on Act No. 56 (Prp) of 1960, namely that the provisions regarding land restrictions state that the application for ownership rights as referred to in Article 4 paragraph 1 of Act No. 56 (Prp) 1960 was limited to a maximum land area of 2000 m2. 2) The steps of the Land Office in implementing Act No. 56 (Prp) of 1960, namely the need for a concept of supervision and control over control of land rights, given the various problems that often arise such as in land registration activities.
