This study examines the impact of organizational commitment on upgrading ERP for maintaining the quality of information and the performance. Many manufacturing companies in East Java have been implementing ERP in managing their business. Although the ERP post- implementation has been continuously maintained by these companies, the inevitable changes and development in the current business practices have forced them to upgrade their ERP infrastructure. All ERP system upgrades require a commitment from both management and employees, which is also known as the organizational commitment. This research used the employees of 110 manufacturing companies in the region of East Java, which have been implementing ERP for more than two years. The response rate is quite good, as many as 90 questionnaires out of 110 distributed questionnaires are completed by the respondents. Data analysis has been performed using partial least square (PLS) technique. The result demonstrated that the organizational commitment brings a significant impact to the ERP infrastructure upgrade. The organization commitment shows a significant impact on the information quality, but does not show a direct impact towards the ERP performance. Similarly, the ERP infrastructure upgrade also shows a significant impact on the information quality, but does not show a direct impact on the ERP performance. The information quality has a positive impact on the ERP performance. In total, the organizational commitment directly and indirectly affects the ERP performance. The management commitment empowers the key user to be aware of the ERP system upgrading all the time. Keeping ERP to the most up-to-date condition will contribute to the high quality of the information. Furtherly, the best information quality provides the appropriate information in term of the right time and the right information in the decision making process. The appropriate information enables the top management to make decisions in the pursuit of improving the company’s performance.

Purpose Traditionally, it has been held that strong attitudes are a result of the conscious cognitive process of elaboration where one engages in effortful issue-relevant thinking. The purpose of this study is to show that attitude strength can follow from processes not just limited to elaboration – as a function of certain embodied states. This study examines bodily manipulations that could alter perceptions about the quality of the information describing a target (e.g. notion of “hard/soft” evidence), and, find that such an embodiment leads one to have strong attitudes toward the target object. This study proposes an attitude-rehearsal-based mechanism to explain the phenomenon. Design/methodology/approach This study have relied on lab experiments as a methodology – undergraduate students and American residents served as participants. This study have conducted a pre-registered study as well. Findings In the work, the study shows that strong attitudes can result from processes not just limited to elaboration, as a function of certain embodied states. This paper examines bodily manipulations that could alter perceptions about the quality of information describing the target (e.g. notion of “hard vs soft”; “converging vs diverging” information), and, find that such an embodiment leads one to have strong attitudes toward the target. This study consistently observed that the bodily manipulations influence attitude accessibility, a direct and operational indicator of attitude strength. This study further validates an attitude-rehearsal-based mechanism to explain the observed phenomenon. Originality/value While much work has investigated the impact of embodiment on attitudes, little attention has been paid to whether, and, how embodied states can impact the “strength” of the attitude without impacting the attitude itself – to the knowledge, this paper is the first to document this. Moreover, traditionally, it has been held that strong attitudes are a result of the conscious cognitive process of elaboration where one engages in effortful issue-relevant thinking. This study however shows that attitude strength can follow from processes not just limited to elaboration – as a function of certain embodied states.

This study analyzed the relationship between humans as users of the system and application software as object an inseparable relationship. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of variable quality system to the perception of the quality system, the effect of perceived quality system and quality of information on the intensity of use and user satisfaction, and the influence of the intensity of use and user satisfaction of the impact of individual performance. This research is an empirical study using purposive sampling technique in data collection. Data were collected through  questionnaires to 39 BMT’s operational employees. Then, performed an analysis of the data obtained used path analysis. This included: testing hypotheses through path analysis. The results of tests performed using path analysis to get the results that each variable in the model of equation 4 had a coefficient with a positive direction. This means that the improvement of the quality of the system will be able to improve the quality of information for the individual impact of the use and satisfaction of employees through the use of the system.

Systems developers and IT project managers who apply agile methods for developing information systems (IS) subscribe to a set of values and principles. This adherence to a set of values and principles, along with a passion or fervor surrounding the agile philosophy, made us question whether the adoption of agile methodologies has an effect on information systems built, and in particular, the quality of the IS developed. In this paper we construct a conceptual model, conduct a survey of software developers, and analyze our results, which support our hypotheses about the importance of the strategic selection of a development methodology. We conclude that practicing project managers should consider the decision to use certain methodologies as part of the strategic process.

The current study aims to uncover the Impact of the quality work. It has been chosen Al-Rasheed banks as a location for testing the researched variables, the study gas depended on the descriptive analytical method into managing its variables, the problem of the study refers to a set of inquiries that contribute in to specifying the relation and the effect. For reaching the goal, It has been built proposed planning to include the independent variables (quality of work life) trusted (organizational commitment) In the light of this planning, it has been formed three hypotheses ensued sub-hypotheses. The current study has been applied on a sample 35 director in the banks over mentioned in the filed of the study, It has been prepared questionnaire for collecting data including two axes that cover 38 items for measurement, depending on (Likert) as to confirm the authentication of the hypotheses over mentioned, that being addressed with a set of statistic means to specify the nature of the relation and the effect of the statistic program SPPS. Based on the study variables, along with personification, relation testing, it has been reached to a set of conclusions, most importantly: There is a spiritual effect for the quality of work life in the organizational commitment. It has been reached to set of recommendations: The necessity of cooperation of all offices in both banks in field of improving the environment of work since the responsibility is thorough and not to be restricted within one department than the other.

This paper focuses on the determinants of the impact of social networks on the recruitment process in Kosovar enterprises, concluding that the main factor of that impact is the quality of information, cost benefits, and timeliness. Another factor of particular importance is the competitive advantages social networks provide with respect to efficiently attracting suitable candidates to recruit through their unified data processing speed. The managers interviewed in this study provided evidence that recruitment using social networks is faster than with traditional methods. Social networks enable firms to quickly and easily access applicants from all over the world easily at a low cost. Social networks provide in-depth discussions to understand the views and opinions of both parties in the recruitment process. The information provided by social networks on the personal and professional life of the potential job candidate makes social networks an important tool for recruitment

Victims, witnesses, and suspects of crime are frequently intoxicated by Alcohol or Other Drugs (AOD) during the event. How intoxication is perceived by investigating officers, and the manner in which this is handled during interview procedures, can affect the quality of information obtained and therefore investigative outcomes. Various factors are likely to contribute to how intoxication is handled during the investigation of a crime, including standard procedures, familiarity with the effects of different substances, and cultural attitudes. While findings with respect to the effect of different substances on memory are still emerging, it is important to investigate whether police beliefs are consistent with available evidence. In this study, Australian and Indonesian police officers were surveyed about their perceptions of memory accuracy and credibility of victims and witnesses intoxicated with various substances (e.g., alcohol, cannabis, amphetamines, and opioids). A higher proportion of Australian police identified larger negative memory effects associated with alcohol intoxication. At the same time, Indonesian police were found to be more likely to report that intoxication with alcohol would make a victim or witness less credible. With regard to timing, across multiple substances, larger proportions of Australian police reported believing that information obtained from witnesses that were still intoxicated would be more accurate than if interviewed after they became sober. It is concluded that, in order to rectify misconceptions about the impact of AOD intoxication on memory and improve investigative practices, both Australian and Indonesian police would benefit from additional training on the effects of intoxication.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are the spine of the European economy and play a key role in adding value in all sectors of the economy. However, due to a lack of methodology and time, SME entrepreneurs struggle to formalize their strategies and too often remain ill-prepared to face today’s potential crises. This paper aims to propose a Risk Management (RM) tool to identify and assess the impact of risks on specific business strategic dimensions. The hypotheses and robustness of the model are tested using Monte Carlo simulation. The analysis shows that a reduced strategic risk matrix (size [Formula: see text]) could provide the same quality of information as a full strategic risk matrix (size [Formula: see text]) in about 80% of the cases, regardless of the weight of each criterion and the values of each risk factor. The results extend the limited use of RM tool in the field of SME Risk Management.
