This epilogue, in conclusion, reflects on some of the main arguments made in the book and discusses the possibility of Naga society moving beyond the shadows of insurgency. Adopting a historical lens, the author theorises the problematic historical and cultural transitivity of the concept of sovereignty, and advocate a return to indigenous constellations of power, territory, and control. Against the backdrop of a ‘framework agreement’ signed between the NSCN-IM and the Indian government in 2015, and amidst speculation about a final political settlement, the author then discuss several schisms and predicaments that may impede Naga society’s envisaged transformation from a conflict to a post-conflict society.

 A quadrotor is a four-rotor aircraft capable of vertical take-off and landing, hovering, forward flight, and having great maneuverability. Its platform can be made in a small size make it convenient for indoor applications as well as for outdoor uses. In model there are four input forces that are essentially the thrust provided by each propeller attached to each motor with a fixed angle. The quadrotor is basically considered an unstable system because of the aerodynamic effects; consequently, a close-loop control system is required to achieve stability and autonomy. Such system must enable the quadrotor to reach the desired attitude as fast as possible without any steady state error. In this paper, an optimal controller is designed based on a Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control method to obtain stability in flying the quadrotor. The dynamic model of this vehicle will be also explained by using Euler-Newton method. The mechanical design was performed along with the design of the controlling algorithm. Matlab Simulink was used to test and analyze the performance of the proposed control strategy. The experimental results on the quadrotor demonstrated the effectiveness of the methodology used.

Remarkable progress has been made in the treatment and control of hepatitis B and C viral infections. However, fundamental treatments for diseases in which liver fibrosis is a key factor, such as cirrhosis, alcoholic/nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, and primary sclerosing cholangitis, are still under development and remain an unmet medical need. To solve this problem, it is essential to elucidate the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis in detail from a molecular and cellular perspective and to develop targeted therapeutic agents based on this information. Recently, microRNAs (miRNAs), functional RNAs of 22 nucleotides, have been shown to be involved in the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis. In addition, extracellular vesicles called “exosomes” have been attracting attention, and research is being conducted to establish noninvasive and extremely sensitive biomarkers using miRNAs in exosomes. In this review, we summarize miRNAs directly involved in liver fibrosis, miRNAs associated with diseases leading to liver fibrosis, and miRNAs related to complications of cirrhosis. We will also discuss the efficacy of each miRNA as a biomarker of liver fibrosis and pathology, and its potential application as a therapeutic agent.

A CHART – Most of the points made in our article are also summarised in an information chart “Coping with Diarrhoea”, produced last year by the Ross Institute. It is intended as a teaching tool for professional health workers involved in the clinical management of diarrhoea, and gives basic information on clinical presentation, treatment, epidemiology and control of the most common agents of diarrhoea. A second chart summarises scientific knowledge of the major infectious agents of diarrhoea, and is intended for reference. The charts can be obtained from Miss S. In last few decades, though significant progress has been made in the treatment and control strategies of tubercular infections by introducing new diagnostic and monitoring tools and combination therapy, it still continues to be severe problem. The need of study was only because of there are many drugs in market to treat infection but most of the drugs are showing resistance because of the same it is difficult to treat the infection. In this study we chosen quinolone nucleus for study and over it.  Thus with the aim of developing novel molecule with improved potency for treating Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv strain infections and with decreased probability of developing drug resistance. Methodology: The synthesis of Quinolone derivatives, starting from substituted aniline and ethyl acetoacetate, by conventional organic reaction and results of investigations of their anti-mycobacterial activity. Results: MICs of the synthesized compounds are compared with existing drugs Cytotoxicity. The substituted quinolones are synthesized by taking mixture of 7-substituted-2-(3-chloro-2-oxopropyl) quinolin-4(1H)-one and different secondary amines.  Many compounds have shown promising activity while some were inactive. Conclusion: It was found that Compound A1, A3, B1, B3, have shown promising anti tubercular activity whereas compound A2, A4,B2,B4 were showing moderate anti tubercular activity  against std. Streptomycin.

The AIDS Commission (KPA) is an institution formed in 2013 that has the function of leading, managing and coordinating efforts to prevent and control the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)/Acquired Immunodeficiency Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) which is chaired directly by the Mayor of Pekanbaru. This paper aims to understand, examine in-depth and explain how the Mayor's leadership is in the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS in Pekanbaru, including Regional Apparatus Organizations, Health Organizations and Non-Governmental Organizations. This study uses a qualitative method with informant withdrawal techniques through Stratified Sampling, converted to the Snow Ball technique. This study showed that the mayor leadership in preventing and overcoming AIDS was autocratic due to the policies were made in the form of mayor regulations. The decisions were made only from the Mayor, causing weaknesses including unclear policy objectives, budgeting, and ambiguity regarding oversight by the legislative institution (DPRD) of Pekanbaru. It has an impact on communication, resources, disposition and bureaucratic structures.

Hemp dogbane (Apocynum cannabinum L.) was investigated relative to seed germination, depth of seedling emergence, response to clipping, influence of soil type and fertility on vegetative growth, and herbicidal control. Seed germination in this study was influenced by light and scarification. Seedling emergence was influenced by the amount of soil cover. Soil type and fertility affected vegetative growth. In a greenhouse clipping study, hemp dogbane became perennial 41 days after emergence and by 65 days was producing more than one shoot per plant following clipping. Hemp dogbane was more completely controlled following September application of herbicide than from application made in June.

Dramatic advances have been made in the last two decades in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease. The development of open heart surgical techniques for bypassing occluded arteries made quantitative diagnostic techniques more important. Computer enhanced angiographic methods, together with measurements using tomography, ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging have greatly improved the precision of the diagnosis. A more complete understanding of coronary mechanics and control has enabled physicians to better interpret the significance of geometric information and to supplement this information with functional assessment of stenosed arteries. Finally, traditional bypass surgery is now supplemented with closed-chest techniques such as balloon angioplasty. Biomedical engineers have been involved in all of these developments. This paper will review these developments and attempt to identify remaining questions.

1. A study was made of the electrolyte changes which occur when frog muscles are immersed in a Ringer solution with 1/5 of the Na replaced by NH4Cl. Analyses were made in the solution and in the muscles for K and NH3, and the muscles were also analyzed for Cl, HCO3, and Na. Control muscles were immersed in normal Ringer's solution and similarly analyzed. 2. The amount of ammonia taken up was about equal to the K and Na lost. There was also a small increase in chloride content. The bicarbonate content was the same in both experimental and control muscles, indicating no change in the muscle pH due to the NH3 which penetrated. An increased loss of K due to the penetration of NH3 was also demonstrated by the use of radioactive K. 3. After 5 hours, the concentration of ammonia per gram of muscle is about the same as the concentration in the solution. After 4 or 5 days, the concentration in the muscle is about 1.5 times that in the solution. The inside to outside NH3 ratio is about equal to the corresponding H ion ratio, but is much less than the K ratio. 4. The rate of penetration of the NH3 is increased by a rise of temperature, by stirring the solution, and by decrease in the concentration of Na, K, Ca, or Mg in the solution; it is decreased by increasing the size of the muscles or by killing them with chloroform or boiling. 5. Liver, smooth muscle, skin, and kidney, in a few experiments, behaved much like muscle except that there was a formation of urea in the case of liver. 6. The injection of NH4Cl into anesthetized cats causes an increase in the level of K in the blood plasma.

Modern constructions, either private houses or public buildings, nowadays must be built meeting all the requirements of the European Union [EU] standards and must be highly energy efficient. Still, there are a lot of old inefficient buildings with high energy costs that require renovation. These buildings can be renovated applying a passive house model that helps to minimize buildings’ heating and cooling energy expenses. Moreover, the decisions made in the stages of early design and preconstruction are essential for the sustainability in a building facility. It is possible to perform various analyses with Building Information Modeling (BIM) in order to have an optimized sustainable building design. BIM system can be used to evaluate and control the costs (e.g. renovation, efficiency) as well as to monitor the conditions during the life-cycle of the building.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present state-of-the-art approaches for precise operation of a robotic manipulator on a macro- to micro/nanoscale. Design/methodology/approach This paper first briefly discussed fundamental issues associated with precise operation of a robotic manipulator on a macro- to micro/nanoscale. Second, this paper described and compared the characteristics of basic components (i.e. mechanical parts, actuators, sensors and control algorithm) of the robotic manipulator. Specifically, commonly used mechanisms of the manipulator were classified and analyzed. In addition, intuitive meaning and applications of its actuator explained and compared in details. Moreover, related research studies on general control algorithm and visual control that are used in a robotic manipulator to achieve precise operation have also been discussed. Findings Remarkable achievements in dexterous mechanical design, excellent actuators, accurate perception, optimized control algorithms, etc., have been made in precise operations of a robotic manipulator. Precise operation is critical for dealing with objects which need to be manufactured, modified and assembled. The operational accuracy is directly affected by the performance of mechanical design, actuators, sensors and control algorithms. Therefore, this paper provides a categorization showing the fundamental concepts and applications of these characteristics. Originality/value This paper presents a categorization of the mechanical design, actuators, sensors and control algorithms of robotic manipulators in the macro- to micro/nanofield for precise operation.
