Conventional electron microscope TEM -100 (Made by “ELECTRON”, Sumy, USSR; Fig. 1) was presented at the XI Int. Congress on Electron Microscopy (Kyoto) by I.S. Lyalko et al. (1,2). The purpose of the microscope constructors were to design a small-sized general conventional TEM for various application fields. The microscope have mini lenses, which winding is placed in closed casing and soaked in working liquid (low boiling temperature) but upper part of the casing being water cooled. In this communication we gave our first experience and impression as a customer, beginning from the montage, the instruction and the testing of the microscope to our application in the field of biological specimens. Just after montage of the microscope on the second floor, the test of the point resolution power was performed by Ir specimen. It was achieved 0.5 nm (Fig. 2 and 3) on the roll film (ORWO 22 DIN) with 300 OOOx magnification and anticontamination device. The ultimate vacuum (about 10exp-6 mm Hg, ion discharge pump) also achieved using large trap cooled by liquid nitrogen.

The sun oriented power (SP) is a one of a kind renewable vitality innovation. SP frameworks can give control, water warming and water decontamination in one unit. This innovation will be to a great degree accommodating in enhancing the personal satisfaction for some individuals around the globe who do not have the vitality expected to carry on with a sound life. A financial allegorical dish sort Cassegrain concentrating framework was created at the foundation of Energy Studies, Anna University Chennai. An old microwave media transmission reception apparatus having a paraboloidal shape made in aluminum frames an essential reflector which guarantees effortlessness of generation and operation. The essential concentrator was settled with mirror cleaned stainless steel with reasonable cement .The optional concentrator is inward mirror .Suitable supporting structure was developed for supporting the cassegrain concentrator. Double hub following framework is mounted for adjusting the concentrator to azimuth and apex point by utilizing DC engine and direct actuator individually. Water goes about as working liquid to expel warm from .The tank is protected with thermocol material upheld with wooden structure on all sides to maintain a strategic distance from convection misfortunes. The material Cost for the framework was Rs 15000

Single vapour bubble growth and heat transfer mechanism during flow boiling in a rectangular horizontal mini-channel were experimentally investigated. The hydraulic diameter of the channel was 1454 μm, with an aspect ratio (Win/din) of 10. Degassed FC-72 was used as the working liquid. In this paper, bubble equivalent radius was found to increase linearly till a critical time, beyond which the growth turned into exponential. Bubble growth rate increases with increasing heat flux. Heat transfer mechanisms of the bubble growth at different heat fluxes and mass fluxes were discussed. In addition, the relation between thermal and flow conditions with bubble temporal geometry was explored.

The experiment studied the effect of various mulching terms of ‘Foxtrot’ tulips with wheat straw in combination with spraying of plantations with herbicides using various doses and different amounts of working liquid. The mulch was laid out just after planting and after the soil had frozen. The experiment included combinations, in which the mulch was left until the end of the growing season or removed in spring. Spraying with single (linuron 675 g·ha–1 + lenacyl 1000 g·ha–1) or double herbicide dose (linuron 1350 g·ha–1 + lenacyl 2000 g·ha–1) was made before covering the soil with mulch and also on mulch – two weeks after planting the bulbs, or in the spring after thawing the soil. Volumes of 300 dm3 and 600 dm3 of working liquid were used for spraying. Tulips covered with mulch bloomed 2–3 days later and formed longer shoots as compared to non-mulched ones. The highest yield of marketable bulbs and the first-selection ones was obtained from tulips mulched immediately after planting and sprayed 2 weeks later with herbicides used in a single dose of 600 dm3 of a working liquid. Mulching of tulips after soil freezing and removal of mulch in spring adversely affects the number and weight of commercial bulbs. The lowest yield was obtained in combinations, in which the mulch was not used. The use of additional nitrogen fertilization before laying out the mulch did not affect the yield of tulips. Herbicides can be used both before mulching and after covering the plantation with mulch. It is not necessary to increase the dose of the agent and the amount of water.

In order to obtain micro holes with high aspect ratio, a new technique of machining deep micro holes by combining EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) with USM (Ultrasonic Machining) in inversion installing is researched. The workpiece is over the electrode. The ultrasonic vibration is affixed to the electrode. The workpiece and electrode are all immersed in working liquid. The debris generated by EDM is dropped out the hole from the gap between the electrode and the hole wall by the gravity and the pumping effect of ultrasonic vibration, so as to increasing the machining velocity and machined depth. The structural features of the machining device are described, and the exploratory experiment is carried out. The corresponding process relations are found out, which can provide references for further study of this technique. The micro holes with larger than 25 in aspect ratio are machined.

An infrared thermoviewer is utilized to measure the temperature distribution on solid walls and vapor-liquid interfaces of the rectangular capillary microgrooves heat sink, which is made of borosilicate glass. The infrared thermal image clearly shows that the solid wall temperature of microgroove top is lower than the average temperature of vapor-liquid interface. The results indicate that heat source position has a significant influence on the microgrooves surface temperature distribution, besides working liquid, tilt angle (the angle between microgroove surface and gravity direction) and heat flux.

The features of utilization of low-pressure gas emissions from reactors of a delayed coking installation are considered. A technical solution has been proposed for the compression and purification of low-pressure hydrocarbon gases from hydrogen sulfide by using a liquid-ring compressor with an amine solution mixed with a hydrocarbon fraction taken in a certain ratio as a working liquid. Gasolines, kerosene, diesel fuels and any other hydrocarbon mixtures with low viscosity can be used as the hydrocarbon fraction. Preferably use gaseous gasoline obtained during the compression of gas or distillate in the main distillation column. Test results and computational studies confirm the advantages of using a binary working fluid compared to using the components separately.
