The aim of this research was to review the leisure boredom perceptions of students who study in the faculty of sports sciences by different variables. 1223 students voluntarily participated in this research. These students study in the faculty of sports sciences in three universities in Turkey and they were selected by random sampling method. 367 of participants were female (30%); 856 (70%) of participants were males. Leisure boredom scale (LBS) that was developed by Iso-Ahola and Weissinger (1990) was used in this research to collect the data. Kara, Gürbüz, and Öncü (2014) adapted this scale into Turkish. Besides, an information form that includes socio-demographic attributes was asked participants to fill. T-test, ANOVA test and descriptive statistical methods analyzed the data. While there was found a statistically significant difference (p<0,05) in boredom sub-dimension in terms of gender variable, there was no statistically significant difference in satisfaction sub-dimension. About the monthly income variable, a statistically significant difference (p<0,05) was observed in both boredom and satisfaction sub-dimensions. However, there was no statistically significant difference (p>0,05) in leisure boredom perception based on the age variable.

The aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of university students towards leisure and perceived freedom in leisure on the basis of different variables. To this end, a total of 250 university students in total, 174 (69%) of whom are males and 78 (31%) of whom are females selected by random sampling have voluntarily attended the research study. The sample of the study consists of students studying at Istanbul University's Faculty of Sports Sciences. The data collection instruments of the study include the personal information form developed by the researcher, as well as the Leisure Meanings Inventory which was developed by Esteve et al. (1999) and adapted into Turkish by Gürbüz et al. (2007) and aims to determine the leisure perceptions of the participants. The Perceived Freedom in Leisure Scale, which was developed by Witt and Ellis (1985) and adapted into Turkish by Yerlisu, Lapa and Ağyar (2011) was used to determine the participants’ perceived freedom levels in leisure. Additionally, frequency methods have been utilized to identify the distribution of the personal information of the participants and the Shapiro-Wilks normality test has been applied to identify whether data had normal distribution. Mann-Whitney U and Kruskall Wallis tests have been applied to determine the significant differences after it was determined that the data were suitable to non-parametric test conditions. According to the gender variable, no significant difference has been identified in the sub-dimension of the perceived freedom in leisure scale (p>0.05). In the active-passive participation and goal orientation sub-dimensions in the leisure meanings inventory, the female participants were found to score more than male participants. Based on the age variable, there were no significant differences found in any sub dimension of the perceived freedom scale (p<0.05) or in the leisure meanings inventory (p>0.05). In conclusion, the perceived leisure levels of the female participants were higher than the male while it was also seen that as age increases, the perceived freedom levels in leisure increases as well.

This study, which was conducted to examine the employability perceptions of students studying in the field of sports sciences in terms of gender, department, type of university, work in the field of diploma and level of foreign language knowledge, was designed according to correlational survey and causal comparison methods. In determining the sample of the study, accessible sampling method, which is one of the non-random sampling methods, was used. The sample in question consists of a total of 206 participants, 99 females (48.1%) and 107 males (51.9%). As a measurement tool the “Employability Perception Scale” (IEAS) developed by Rothwell et al. (2008) and adapted into Turkish by Karlı (2016), was used in the study. According to the results of the analysis, a significant difference was determined in terms of gender variable in the University Prestige sub-dimension (p < 0.05). No significant difference was determined in terms of other sub-dimensions and variables. As a result, it is possible to state that the employability perception of the students studying in the field of sports sciences is high, that the female participants perceive their university as more prestigious than the male participants, and this contributes positively to their belief that they can be employed in this situation.

The present study seeks to investigate the level of adjustment and social support of college going adolescents. Sample included 120 (simple random sampling method) randomly selected adolescents i.e. 60 boys and 60 girls college students from various pre-university colleges of Kalaburgi district of Hyderabad Karnataka. For obtaining the data on social support and adjustment, social support scale developed by Vaxu (1986), and adjustment inventory was developed by Sinha and Singh (1984) were used respectively. The statistical technique t-test and spearman rho coefficient of correlation was employed for comparing the two groups. The findings of the study showed that there exists significant difference in adjustment and social support between boys and girls. Whereas there exists no significant difference in respect to domicile between adjustment and social support. It also concludes that there exists positive and significant difference between adjustment and social support.

This document he 20-25 years old female university students from Jiangsu province in China and Seoul in South Korea were chosen as the subjects. The method of simple random sampling and analyzing questionnaires was employed and the questionnaire content are following: 50 questions referring body cognition and figure satisfaction and 11 questions investigating subjects’ acceptence of various clothing styles. Responses data were collected and processed by the SPSS (17.0 for Windows) statistical software and statistical methods of Descriptive analysis, Crosstabs, Mean multiple comparison (Duncan) was employed. This study focused on female college students’ self-figure cognition, self-figure satisfaction and dressing desire and would offer reference and advice about developing China’s and South Korea’s apparel trade.

The aim of the study is to examine the meaning of leisure time and life satisfaction levels of university students in general and students studying in faculties of tourism and sports sciences specifically. The sample group was determined from Recreation and Recreation Management students in the faculties of Tourism and Sport Sciences of universities by using appropriate sampling method based on voluntariness. The study included a total of 1345 university students, 507 women (37.7%) and 838 men (62.3%). In the study, Leisure Meanings Inventory (LMI), which included 35 items and 8 sub-dimensions and which was adapted into Turkish by Gürbüz, Özdemir and Karaküçük (2007), and the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire, which was developed by Diener et al. in 1985 and adapted into Turkish by Yetim (1993) and which included 5 items, were used. In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistical methods such as percentage and frequency were checked to determine the distribution of the personal information of the participants, and Skewness and Kurtosis values of the data were checked to determine whether the data showed normal distribution. In addition, t-test and Anova test and correlation analysis methods were used (α = 0.05). The limitations of the study and evaluations for future studies were discussed in this sense.

This study aimed to determine if capital market training, on-line facilities, social environment, and a minimum amount of investment affect Indonesian and Malaysian university-students’ decisions in investing in the capital markets of each country, as they are potential smart investors. Based on 229 respondents from both countries, a survey was conducted comprising 24 questions. Respondents were selected using they random sampling method. The results found that capital market training and on-line facilities were not factors that influenced university students’ decisions in Indonesia and Malaysia in making investment in the capital markets. The other two variables, social environment and a minimum amount of investment proved influential. The mediating variable, investment interest partially influenced the relationship between social environment and a minimum amount of investment-to-investment decision, but did not mediate capital market training and on-line facilities to the investment decision. Work motivation has been identified as an influential variable associated with turnover intention. However, only a few studies have examined its prediction on turnover intention. This study discussed the influences of work motivational factors (compensation, nature of job and interpersonal relationship) on turnover intention among Gen Y employees. The sampling method used in this study was stratified random sampling and the sample size was 108 employees in the manufacturing company. The results indicated that the level of work motivation among Gen Y employees is moderate, while the level of turnover intention is high. The result also shows that there is no significant difference of work motivation based on gender among Gen Y employees. The multiple regression results indicated that the three factors of work motivation such as interpersonal, compensation, and nature of the job did not have significant influence on turnover intentions of Gen Y employees. This research concludes with the recommendations for the employees and future works for researcher.

The study aims to examine whether the use of technology has a predictive effect on the employability perceptions of university students studying in the field of sports sciences in terms of variables of gender, department and foreign language knowledge levels. The sample of this study, that aims to examine the predictive effect of the level of technology use of students studying in the field of sports sciences on their perceptions of employability, and to examine these concepts in terms of gender, department, working in the fields of sports sciences and level of foreign language knowledge, consisted of a total of 232 participants, 101 females and 131 males. In the study the “Employability Perception Scale” (EPS) developed by Rothwell et al. (2008) and adapted into Turkish by Karlı (2016), and the Technology Use Scale (TUS) developed by Zincirkıran and Tiftik (2014) were used. According to the results of the analysis, a significant difference was found in the use of technology in terms of foreign language knowledge (p < 0.05). No significant difference was determined in terms of FAI and TSK and other variables. Finally, it was determined that the use of technology had a 22% effect on the perception of employability. As a result, it is possible to state that the employability perceptions and technology use levels of the students studying in the field of sports sciences are high, and the use of technology is a significant predictor of the employability perception.


The Current study is concerned with “a study on effectiveness of training and development in its solutions (chennai)” in this study where the effectiveness of the employee are measured and studied. In this study the where 110 employees are taken out of 195 employees using random sampling method. Where the set of questions are given to the employees to get there feedback about the changes after the training. The organization provides various kind of training to the employee. In this study we are testing the effectiveness of the employee after the training and development3 . Where the 110 questions are distributed to employees and answers are collected for findings, suggestions and conclusions. The answers given by the respondents are analysed using chi-square and percentage method. After the finding where concluded that the objectives of this study and conclusions found in this study meets same point. Where the objective of this study is get satisfied. The aim of this study is to examine the attitude levels of students receiving education at university level towards sport with regard to certain variables. The research was designed with the scanning model. A “sport attitudes scale” was applied to a total of 547 students, selected by random sampling method, who were studying at Balikesir University.The research findings revealed that the participants’ attitude levels regarding sport were at a “high attitude” level, with an average of 3.70±058. It was determined that participants who did sport regularly had a higher attitude level. It was also determined that according to the education department variable, students receiving sports education together with those in the economics faculty had higher attitude levels. As for the grade level variable, it was revealed that the lowest attitude level belonged to third-grade students.Consequently, with the aim of increasing university students’ attitude levels regarding sport, it is recommended that they be given the opportunity to do more sport and that they be given guidance in this direction.
