This paper is about the problem of drought and its future. The research methods are both theoretical and field studies. This paper presents a mathematical model for drought analysis in Australia that can predict its future trend. It analyses three meteorological indicators, including annual rainfall, increases in temperature, and water consumption volume. Surveys about the mentioned indicators are from the past to the present and now to the future intervals. This paper suggests practical solutions to change the conditions of drought-affected regions. The research method, simulated exemplary, and outcomes of this paper are applicable everywhere in the world affected by the hydro-drought crisis.

The 16 Days Against Women Violence Campaign is a campaign to encourage liberation struggles against women throughout the world. As a national human right in Indonesia. This campaign has been carried out since 2003 and is routinely carried out every period with a 16-day campaign set in November. Problems in the 16-Day Campaign Against Violence Against Women, this campaign has been running for 15 years, but this is not directly proportional to the protected numbers against women has increased over the past three years. The main theory in this research is campaign theory using Nowak & Warneryd's campaign model. The method used is a descriptive qualitative research method that looks for facts with the right interpretation. Descriptive research on problems in society, views, and processes - ongoing parts and effects of phenomena. Komnas Perempuan is still too broad in setting its campaign targets, as well as a lot of messages to be conveyed. the extent of challenging the campaign audience makes KOMNAS Perempuan against barriers ranging from language and culture, there is a GAP about knowledge of challenges, to obstacles in choosing what campaign techniques to use. In the 16 Days Anti Violence against Women campaign, KOMNAS Perempuan chose to generalize the message to be conveyed, accepting their own challenges, which made the objectives of the 16 Days Anti Violence Against Women Campaign unsuccessful. Keywords:  Campaign, KOMNAS Perempuan, Violence

In the past architecture of Iran, traditional architects had been able to provide comfort for residents through the smart use of architectural materials and strategies. Soil architecture is the most original type of Iranian architecture and the use of soil with characteristics such as high thermal capacity and thermal latency is at the cutting edge of this field in energy consumption and the pursuit of sustainable architecture in the world. This type of architecture not merely in the form of constructing a building in a single ground, but it has been united proportional to the scale and location of the project on the ground and an indivisible part of it. The research method adopted in this paper is based on text studies and the use of visual documents in the context of library research and descriptive-analytical method. In this research, a comparative study of the principles of sustainability with the vernacular architecture of Iran and the sustainable elements, including Shaw Shawādān, sunken gardens and etc. have been addressed in traditional Iranian architecture. The results of these studies show that desirable solutions derived from this vernacular architecture for achieving sustainable architecture can be presented for reducing fossil fuels and as a result reducing contamination that plays a significant role in these issues and the issue of sustainable development.

1 Over the past 20 years plus that paraquat has been used throughout the world, it has enjoyed an excellent safety record when used normally and for its intended purpose. 2 Its safety record is explained by the following reasons: (i) inhalational exposure during normal use is not significant toxicologically; (ii) dermal exposure predominates during normal use; (iii) intact human skin provides a very good barrier against penetration by paraquat. 3 Its safety record has been confirmed by several field studies, which have assessed exposure and health of workers, who have used paraquat for short and longer periods of time. The unanimous conclusions of the studies is that exposure to paraquat does not result in any acute or chronic adverse health effects. 4 Minor and reversible injuries to the skin, eyes, nose and nails do occur and probably result from overexposure to the extremely irritant concentrated formulations. Most of these effects can be avoided using ordinary personal hygiene. 5 There have been a few anecdotal cases reported in the literature when dermal absorption of paraquat has genuinely occurred and led to serious health effects. In all cases prolonged exposure to concentrated paraquat solutions has been involved resulting in severe and extensive skin damage, with removal of the barrier and absorption of lethal amounts of the chemical. 6 Those cases involving exposure to concentrated paraquat solutions emphasise the need to handle such formulations, for example 'Gramoxone', with case and ensure that the spray solution is correctly made up-at a dilution of at least 1 part 'Gramoxone' to 40 parts water.

to determine the average annual rainfall at a specific site in a basin, it is necessary to count with rainfall information in the study area and topographic information. Counting with base information, is comes to the filling of them data missing with the help of any of them methods statistical existing for the effect. With the full series are determined values average annual rainfall for the rainfall stations studied. On the other hand, with the geographic location of the stations and maps of the areas of study Thiessen polygons are built. Then, with Thiessen polygons, study basin area and values of average annual rainfall determines the rainfall for the area of study. Based on this procedure, may be elaborated isohyet or curves of equal rainfall, that are an input that can help also to estimate of precipitation in a specific geographical site. Here is a methodology that allows creating with the help of geographic information systems (GIS), a mathematical model to estimate very accurately the values of rainfall based only on the geographical coordinates. To achieve this objective, the basins of the Hydrographic Demarcation of Manabí (Ecuador) have been chosen to develop the indicated mathematical model, which can be applied to other basins in the world.

The author presents autoethnography as a systematic research method used in field studies into the emotions of love. She begins by tracing various sociological and anthropological approaches and noting the place they give to an active, subjective researcher with agency. Then she concentrates on how autoethnographic data is generated and used in the course of the research process. In her opinion, autoethnography can be an original source of data—a supplement and verification for other materials collected in the field—if the personal experiences of the researcher are treated with the same attention as the experiences of the persons studied. She proposes to verify these experiences and the researcher’s activities in the world by use of the “clinical” and analytic autoethnographic method, which relies on the strategy of the “researcher as a tool.” This concept corresponds to the figure of the “vulnerable observer” used by researchers of the school of evocative autoethnography; it turns the researcher’s personal biography into a unit of analysis.

Hawaii's beaches are of great economical and. social value; they serve a variety of purposes and are valuable both to residents and tourists alike. Like in many other parts of the world, many of Hawaii's beaches are in a state of erosion and measures of improvement must be designed to cope with this problem. Although in the past several studies have been undertaken to evaluate Hawaii's beach systems and to analyze possible measures of improvement, this study aims at an in-depth analysis of the physical factors at work in the coastal zone. A thorough understanding of these processes, it is felt, is indispensable for the application of sound and economic measures in stabilizing and maintaining Hawaii's beaches. This paper describes some preliminary results of field studies conducted in Waikiki Beach. The latter beach was chosen because of the pressing need for improvements and because of its convenient location. In order to project this study against the proper background, a short review of the general characteristics of Hawaiian beaches precedes the results of the Waikiki Beach study.

Advances in camera technology and digital instrument control have meant that in modern microscopy, the image that was, in the past, typically recorded on a piece of film is now recorded directly into a computer. The transfer of the analog image seen in the microscope to the digitized picture in the computer does not mean, however, that the problems associated with recording images, analyzing them, and preparing them for publication, have all miraculously been solved. The steps involved in the recording an image to film remain largely intact in the digital world. The image is recorded, prepared for measurement in some way, analyzed, and then prepared for presentation.Digital image acquisition schemes are largely the realm of the microscope manufacturers, however, there are also a multitude of “homemade” acquisition systems in microscope laboratories around the world. It is not the mission of this tutorial to deal with the various acquisition systems, but rather to introduce the novice user to rudimentary image processing and measurement.

This paper critically analyzes the symbolic use of rain in A Farewell to Arms (1929). The researcher has applied the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis as a research tool for the analysis of the text. This hypothesis argues that the languages spoken by a person determine how one observes this world and that the peculiarities encoded in each language are all different from one another. It affirms that speakers of different languages reflect the world in pretty different ways. Hemingway’s symbolic use of rain in A Farewell to Arms (1929) is denotative, connotative, and ironical. The narrator and protagonist, Frederick Henry symbolically embodies his own perceptions about the world around him. He time and again talks about rain when something embarrassing is about to ensue like disease, injury, arrest, retreat, defeat, escape, and even death. Secondly, Hemingway has connotatively used rain as a cleansing agent for washing the past memories out of his mind. Finally, the author has ironically used rain as a symbol when Henry insists on his love with Catherine Barkley while the latter being afraid of the rain finds herself dead in it.

The world-wide use of scleral contact lenses has dramatically increased over the past 10 year and has changed the way that we manage patients with corneal irregularity. Successfully fitting them can be challenging especially for eyes that have significant asymmetries of the cornea or sclera. The future of scleral lens fitting is utilizing corneo-scleral topography to accurately measure the anterior ocular surface and then using software to design lenses that identically match the scleral surface and evenly vault the cornea. This process allows the practitioner to efficiently fit a customized scleral lens that successfully provides the patient with comfortable wear and improved vision.
