In addition to passenger traffic, air cargo business is an important business for a global air transport industry. This means that Air Cargo Handling Process (ACHP) is important for any airport or cargo handling agent who provides cargo handling services. To qualitatively manage the ACHP, certain prerequisites must be met, such as competent cargo staff, procedures, cargo information system, infrastructure with enough capacity, and process management. The objective of research presented in this paper is ACHP and its complex structure but in the context of safety and sustainability. Using of several scientific methods of cognition, the authors research the structure of ACHP and safety, and ecological aspects of the process, too. The result of this research is the safety and environmental aspects of the process which are of significant importance for process functionality as well as for the quality level of service that meets customer requirements and to the sustainability of process. Results show that there is a significant impact of the environmental and safety aspects specific to particular activities in ACHP and that they affect the reliability and functionality of the whole process, its profitability, and competitiveness. This points to the need for ACHP to be viewed in context and to understand ACHP sustainability matters and sustainability components.

A new approach to organisation of container block trains is considered based on the principles of passenger traffic. The technology assumes container train’s traffic subject to the timetable with sale of cargo space in the train. The train is made up at the departure station and follows the established route with stops at intermediate container terminals or stations, where a container for which this station is designated as destination is removed and a new container is placed on the vacated place to be delivered to subsequent points of the route. The objective of this study is to develop a methodology for optimal placement of containers in a block train intended for en route cargo handling operations. The technique involves an iterative search for such an order of placement of packages so that containers assigned to each intermediate point are as close to each other as possible. The technique is an authors’ algorithm based on combinatorial optimisation methods. The implementation of the proposed algorithm makes it possible to reduce the excessive mileage of handlers and loaders at intermediate points and, consequently, to increase speed of cargo operations when rearranging containers, as well as to reduce operating costs of using the loading facilities of the container terminal. The proposed mathematical algorithm as compared to exhaustive search allows significantly reducing the number of iterations in search for a solution and can be implemented as software.

nformation exchange and sharing are difficult in manufacturing process for manufacturing enterprises, especially for aircraft manufacturing enterprises, which have complex product to fabricate and mass information to handle. To solve this problem, a Single Enterprise BOM (SEBOM) based Aircraft Manufacturing Process Management System (AMPMS) is promoted to support the whole process of aircraft manufacturing, based on the analysis of aircraft manufacturing process and the process of data flowing. In AMPMS, in order to satisfy the information requirement, a SEBOM is established by unifying various BOM data. A unified SEBOM management platform is established to managing distributed and heterogeneous SEBOM data. Furthermore, the key technologies including BOM data mapping and BOM data agent management are discussed in detail. The validity and feasibility of AMPMS system are verified by developing a prototype system.

With the implementation of State Grid’s management system, ‘Three Intensive Management And Five Large-scale Movements,’ it is inevitable for municipal power supply enterprises to promote and build value management. Based on value management, with management features of municipal power supply enterprises’ other expenses, whole process management will be combined with enterprises’ realities to build management system for other expenses, strengthen control of other management expenses in the event, track key projects and form a closed-loop dynamic cost management, which will make up for lack of the feedback of traditional cost management mode on other management expenses.

In order to theoretically simulate the welding process of complex structure with large quantities of welding spots, a simplified method for analyzing a single spot welding should be developed firstly. In this paper, a 2D axisymmetric model of thermoelectric Finite Element Method (FEM) is developed to analyze the transient thermal behavior of Resistance Spot Welding (RSW) process using ANSYS. The determination of the contact resistance at the faying surface is moderately simplified to reduce the calculating time, while the temperature dependent material properties, phase change and convectional boundary conditions are taken into account for the improvement of the calculated accuracy. The thermal history of the whole process and temperature distributions for any position in the weldment is obtained through the analysis. The model can also predict the weld nugget size and the width of the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ).

This article deals with Business Process Modelling and Reengineering use in the hospitality industry, focusing on the improvement of direct telephone sales by application of the CRM system. After modelling the current state of the selected process using ARIS methodology, the same process was remodelled for the application of the CRM system. This application shortened the whole process (mainly the number of activities needed to prosecute) and allowed the front-office employee to be more clients oriented. The automation of labour-intensive processes can reduce the number of human-caused errors and improve the convertibility and reservation request and their overall value.

Since the reform and opening up, the national economy of our country has been developing steadily and steadily, and the overall level of urbanization and industrialization has been upgrading rapidly.Behind its growth is increasingly serious environmental problems, and environmental protection engineering as a key project of ecological environment governance, its process management level and quality are related to the balance of the entire ecological environment. If we want to further improve the overall efficiency and quality of the project and fundamentally realize the standardization and standardization of the environmental protection project, we should strengthen the whole process control and management of the environmental protection project, and promote the full coverage of the whole process control management. In view of this, this article on the importance of the whole process control management focuses on environmental protection projects, according to the actual management of risks in the process to carry on the understanding and control, and make proper treatment, to strengthen risk management and process control of environmental engineering[1].

Air transport accounts for a significant portion of all wealth production in the world. In the case of Brazil, although the air transport industry is undergoing profound changes because of the economic crisis, there is enormous potential for this market to resume growth, especially when compared to the number of passengers/inhabitant of already consolidated markets, such as the United States. However, to grow in this market, airlines need to be prepared to adapt to new dynamics and overcome the effects of the economy on the industry. This paper presents a case study of an airline that in the crisis period lost its market leadership and chose to restructure the business-to-business (B2B) sales department to achieve better results in its Business Process Management (BPM). It seeks to identify which factors led the company to lose this leadership from the perspective of its customers and propose a way to review internal processes, eliminating waste, so that the company can resume its position in the market. It has been applied lean service-focused concepts to raise possible causes, identifying and optimized internal sales department flows to create a more appropriate customer value proposition, and correcting for each type of waste mapped. The objective of this case study was to apply the concepts related to the Value Stream Map tool to reduce activities that do not add value, in a service area, of a large airline. The objective was to improve the company's Business Process Management, aiming at a lean, effective and efficient process, improving the organization's performance and competitiveness.
