Currently, medication abortion is widely used in clinical practice in China. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of mifepristone with misoprostol treatment on the efficacy of patients with missed abortion (MA) and the safety of this drug regimen. 95 patients with MA treated in our hospital from February 2019 to April 2021 were collected as the subjects of this study, and the patients were divided into the control and the research groups according to different treatment modalities. Among them, 46 cases in the control group were treated by diethylstilbestrol combined with oxytocin and 49 cases in the research group were treated by mifepristone combined with misoprostol, and both groups underwent curettage after medication. The rates of complete abortion, time of embryo expulsion, time of operation, intraoperative bleeding, time of postoperative vaginal bleeding, amount of vaginal bleeding, rate of one-time curettage, the levels of serum estradiol (E2), progesterone (P), β-chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG), and interleukin-18 (IL-18), and the incidence of adverse effects in the two groups were examined and compared. Alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and serum creatinine (Scr) were used as indicators to evaluate the safety of the drug. The results showed that the rates of complete abortion and one-time curettage were significantly higher in the study group than in the control group, while the time of embryo expulsion, operation time, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative vaginal bleeding time, and vaginal bleeding were significantly lower than in the control group. The serum E2, P, and β-hCG levels before curettage in both groups were significantly higher, and IL-18 levels were significantly lower than those at the time of admission, with E2, P, and β-hCG levels increasing more and IL-18 levels decreasing more in the research group. After drug treatment, no abnormal changes in liver and kidney functions were observed in both groups, and the incidence of adverse reactions was at a similar and lower level in both groups. This shows that mifepristone with misoprostol is a safer and more effective drug regimen for the treatment of MA, which can regulate the levels of serum sex hormones and inflammatory factors in the body, promote the shedding of placental tissue, and create conditions for improving the rate of curettage.

One of the factors that negatively affect the human body is susceptibility to stress. The inability to react to negative emotions and reduce tensions in the body causes many negative symptoms that affect people every day. A relaxing massage is one of the ways to reduce stress levels. The aim of the study was to attempt to assess the effect of a relaxing massage on the level of stress in women aged 25-45 years. The research group consisted of 60 women. The research group underwent a proprietary relaxing massage, while the control group used manicures or pedicures. As the research method an original questionnaire and the PSS-10 (Perceived Stress Scale) was used. The subjective assessment of the level of stress based on the proprietary survey and the PSS-10 questionnaire among the respondents after the relaxing massage was statistically signifi cantly lower. How ever, no statistically signifi cant differences in the decrease in stress levels were found between the two groups. On the other hand, a statistically signifi cant relationship between education and the level of stress was proved. Subjects with lower education were characterized by a higher level of stress.

Burns are one of the most serious injuries, affecting around 11 million people a year worldwide. About 200/100000 inhabitants in Lithuania. Treatment is complex: the priorities of specialized facilities focus on stabilizing the patient, preventing infection, and optimizing functional recovery; and requires a lot of resources, both human and financial. Therefore, more and more effective treatments for burns are constantly being sought in order to accelerate the healing itself and thus reduce the duration of hospitalization. Number of recent reports suggests that EMF has a positive impact at different stages of healing. Processes impacted by EMF include, but are not limited to, cell migration and proliferation, expression of growth factors, nitric oxide signaling, cytokine modulation, and more. Objectives and methods. The objective of this work was to study the effect of electromagnetic matrix on wound healing in burns. We evaluated medical records of 18 patients who underwent treatment in the department of plastic and reconstructive surgery from 2018.01.01 to 2019.12.30. All patients had IIA-IIB degree burns affecting less than 10% of the body surface and underwent the standard general treatment. They were divided into two groups: control group 55,6% (n=10) – treated only with the standard treatment and research group 44,4% (n=8) – to whom the EMF matrix were applied. Statistical data analysis was carried out using the SPSS 23.0 software. Results. Pain assessment, wound granulation area, and epithelialization were chosen to evaluate the burn healing process. These indicators were assessed on day 0-1; 3(±1) days and 7(±1) days after hospitalization. There was a statistically significant increase in wound granulation 5 days after the start of treatment in patients treated with the applicator (p = 0.019). Pain and epithelialization rates between standard and applicator treatment methods did not differ statistically significantly over the treatment period. The partial nonparametric Spearman correlation coefficient, eliminating potentially influencing factors such as time after injury, the area of burn showed that the treatment method had a direct effect on the area of wound granulation (r = 0.625; p = 0.04). Conclusion. During the period from 2018.01.01 to 2019.12.31 patients had IIA-IIB degree burns affecting less than 10% of the body surface. 55,6 % of patients were treated only with the standard treatment and 44,4% with EMF matrix. The analysis showed that the average hospitalization time of the control group was 8.5 (0.898) days, while in the research group it was 7.88 (1.493) days, no statistically significant difference (p>0.05). There was a statistically significant increase in wound granulation 5 days after the start of treatment in patients treated with the applicator (p = 0.019). Pain and epithelialization rates between standard and applicator treatment methods did not differ statistically significantly over the treatment period.

Objective: This research aimed to study the effects of a physical exercise program on physical mobility in cranial surgery patients.Materials and Methods: The researcher used a quasi-experimental method of surveying 58 patients who had cranial surgery at Siriraj Hospital. The research group was divided into two groups: an experimental group (28 patients) participating in a physical exercise program of patients after cranial surgery, and a control group (30 patients) receiving routine nursing care only. The evaluation of the patients’ physical mobility was performed three days after the surgery. Results: Most patients in the research group had an intracranial tumor (86.2%). One day after the surgery, the experimental group had minor pain at the wound site while the control group had moderate pain. Both groups felt discomfort (64.2%) or had muscle stiffness in the neck and shoulder areas (63.3%). Three days after the surgery, at the end of the program, the body movement function of both groups was reduced compared with the preoperative data. However, the experimental group showed better body movement function scores than the control one as the scores of the former were reduced less than those of the latter at p < 0.05.Conclusion: Nurses who provide health care services to patients after cranial surgery should apply the physical exercise program to promote the recovery of the patients’ physical mobility.

Previously, we have found that the addition of L-ascorbic acid to chitosan enhanced the reduction in body weight gain in guinea pigs fed a high-fat diet. We hypothesized that the addition of L-ascorbic acid to chitosan would accelerate the reduction of body weight in humans, similar to the animal model. Overweight subjects administered chitosan with or without L-ascorbic acid for 8 weeks, were assigned to three groups: Control group (N = 26, placebo, vehicle only), Chito group (N = 27, 3 g/day chitosan), and Chito-vita group (N = 27, 3 g/day chitosan plus 2 g/day L-ascorbic acid). The body weights and body mass index (BMI) of the Chito and Chito-vita groups decreased significantly (p < 0.05) compared to the Control group. The BMI of the Chito-vita group decreased significantly compared to the Chito group (Chito: -1.0 kg/m2 vs. Chito-vita: -1.6 kg/m2, p < 0.05). The results showed that the chitosan enhanced reduction of body weight and BMI was accentuated by the addition of L-ascorbic acid. The fat mass, percentage body fat, body circumference, and skinfold thickness in the Chito and Chito-vita groups decreased more than the Control group; however, these parameters were not significantly different between the three groups. Chitosan combined with L-ascorbic acid may be useful for controlling body weight.

Abstract. In the present paper we investigate whether patients with a clinical diagnosis of burnout show physiological signs of burden across multiple physiological systems referred to as allostatic load (AL). Measures of the sympathetic-adrenergic-medullary (SAM) axis and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis were assessed. We examined patients who had been diagnosed with burnout by their physicians (n = 32) and were also identified as burnout patients based on their score in the Maslach Burnout Inventory-General Survey (MBI-GS) and compared them with a nonclinical control group (n = 19) with regard to indicators of allostatic load (i.e., ambulatory ECG, nocturnal urinary catecholamines, salivary morning cortisol secretion, blood pressure, and waist-to-hip ratio [WHR]). Contrary to expectations, a higher AL index suggesting elevated load in several of the parameters of the HPA and SAM axes was found in the control group but not in the burnout group. The control group showed higher norepinephrine values, higher blood pressure, higher WHR, higher sympathovagal balance, and lower percentage of cortisol increase within the first hour after awakening as compared to the patient group. Burnout was not associated with AL. Results seem to indicate a discrepancy between self-reported burnout symptoms and psychobiological load.

Summary. The disbalanced feeding and the uneven distribution of micro- and macroelements in the environment leads to a trace element, in particular hypomelanosis. To accelerate the growth and preservation of young farm animals include in the diet of various biological additives and drugs, which include selenium. For stimulation of weight gain in the livestock industry, as well as for the prevention and treatment of pathological processes in addition to micro - and macrouse amino acids, primarily methionine. The aim of this work was to study the influence of composition of DAFS-25+Polizon on morpho-biochemical parameters of blood and functional state of the liver in fattening bulls of black-motley breed in the conditions of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Experiments using were conducted on bull-calves of black-motley breed of the properties in the properties age from 6 to 15 months. The first experimental group during the experiment was additionally given the composition of DAFS-25+Polizon at a dose of 2 mg/kg, the animals of the control group received a standard diet. To assess the impact of the composition DAFS-25+Polizon on metabolism cattle studied morphological and biochemical indicators of blood and conducted histological examination of the liver. It is established that the use of the composition of DAFS-25+Polizon at a dose of 2 mg/kg increases the number of erythrocytes and hemoglobin in the experimental group and reduces the amount of white blood cells. The serum content of total protein, phosphorus and calcium increases in the group of experimental animals. Microscopic examination of the liver revealed no changes in the structure of the organ and hepatocytes in the experimental group, whereas in the control group hemodynamic disorders and dystrophic changes in liver cells were observed. Thus, the use of the composition DAFS-25+Polizon at a dose of 2 mg/kg of live weight in fattening bulls black-and-white breed contributes to the increase of redox processes in the body, stimulation of metabolism, prevent the development of liver disorders of cellular mechanisms of metabolism, optimizes the structure of the liver, which generally provides higher productivity.
