This study attempted to explore the details of a psychosocial support system implemented in Kerala, India, to address psychosocial issues during this pandemic. It employed a descriptive approach using qualitative and quantitative methods. The results can be summarized into 4 overarching themes: (1) process of implementation, (2) issues addressed, (3) experiences, and (4) success stories. This intervention targeted the whole population, with a specific focus on quarantined/isolated individuals and selected vulnerable groups. COVID pandemic has sowed several negative emotions, such as anxiety; and stigma and fearful thoughts, including suicidal ideations; trepidation regarding family members; and misinfodemics in general. Social and religious corollaries of the pandemic have intensified the psychological agony. The purpose of this study discusses how mastery of 4 (four) basic prerequisites of arithmetic which includes the ability to count, make Arithmetic / multiples, complement especially Nines and ten, and the concept of place values in numbers affect students' ability to solve math problems consisting of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and multiplication. The approach in this study uses a descriptive approach, the method used is a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. A qualitative approach is used to describe the basic arithmetic mastery of students including numeracy, making Arithmetic / multiples numbers, complements especially nines and ten, and the concept of place values in numbers. The quantitative approach uses statistical tests with canonical correlation analysis to answer the relationship and influence between understanding of basic arithmetic mastery on the ability to solve math problems related to addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. From the results of the canonical weight and canonical loading function 1, it can be concluded that there is indeed a significant relationship between the dependent variate and the independent variate or basic arithmetic mastery and the students' ability to do math problems is indeed correlated together.

Abstract: The aim of this research is to describe the impact of online game towards children’s language development. This research applied in both qualitative and quantitative methods with descriptive approach focusing on describing the impact of several influencing factors, and giving meaning to social cases. Based on the analysis of questionnaires and interview from 100 respondents, the result of this study shows that: first, online game gives significant effect on children’s language development. It can be seen from regression significance test calculation which obtained 179, 64 for Fcal, and 4,1 for Ftable. Second, both variables (X dan Y) are significantly correlated in which the t-test of correlation coefficient significance is tcal (13,80) > ttabel (1, 67) with df 99, á = 0.05.Keywords: The impact of online game, children’s language development.

The objectives of this study include: to measure the effectiveness of the distribution of BAZNAS ZIS and DSKL. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method uses a descriptive approach. While the quantitative method uses the Zakat Core Principle (ZCP) measurement model. The object used in this study is the BAZNAS financial statements for the period 2001 to 2018. The results of this study indicate that the total collection of ZIS and DSKL is 18 years, Rp932.648.351.752,19. While the amount of ZIS and DSKL distribution for 18 years, is Rp836.512.139.145,00. Based on the ZCP the effectiveness of distribution for 18 years of operation is 90% (ninety percent). This shows that the effectiveness of the distribution of ZIS and DSKL BAZNAS for 18 years is in the Highly Effective category where the Allocation to Collection Ratio (ACR) reaches ≥ 90 percent.

We were honored and flattered to be recognized in the feature article for our commitment to qualitative methods training. As an interdisciplinary program focused on organizational science, we strive not to privilege one form of training, thought, or inquiry over another. We recognize that a number of the problems and questions faced by organizational scholars and practitioners cannot adequately be addressed solely by a single discipline or method. Instead, we emphasize the synergy between different methods and modes of thought. Ultimately, our philosophy is that organizational phenomena are inherently interdisciplinary, thus training should reflect that. Our students are trained in industrial–organizational (I-O) psychology, management, organizational sociology, and organizational communication. We use this commentary as an opportunity to explain why our program values qualitative methods equally with quantitative methods, describe how we integrate that training, highlight a few success stories resulting from qualitative projects in our program, and then share some advice to other programs considering additional qualitative training.

Abstract Safety and security are considered as basic human needs and fundamental rights. Women, who are among the most vulnerable groups, need more safety and security in neighborhoods. Using a conceptual model, this study explored factors contributing to women's perceptions of safety and security in their neighborhood. In the context of the North Salsabil neighborhood of Tehran (Iran’s capital city), a combination of both qualitative and quantitative methods was applied. The qualitative method was based on the responses of 20 women to semi-structured interview questions; the responses were analyzed applying content analysis. In the quantitative phase, stratified random sampling was used to contact the female participants (N = 200) aged 18 to 65 years old. The measurement instrument used was a questionnaire based on conceptual model indices. The results revealed that women's perception of security in the neighborhood was associated with three main factors: individual characteristics, local community features, and built environment characteristics.

Qualitative research is a primary way to understand the context of diabetes in a person′s life, beyond the medical outcomes. Identifying the qualitative issues such as patients′ knowledge about diabetes, their beliefs and attitudes, and their relationship with health care professionals can serve as data to determine the obstacles and, in turn, resolutions to those issues in diabetes management. Characteristics of qualitative and quantitative methods are described, with the discussion that both methods are complementary, not conflicting, to further the field of diabetes research.
