Since one of the main goals of teaching geometry is to provide students with the opportunity to develop spatial reasoning, it is important to find the most suitable support for learning 3D geometry in elementary school. This paper compares Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and physical manipulatives support, with the aim to answer if their use produces different effects on students’ spatial reasoning. The participants in the study were 74 4th graders (10–11 years old) who were assigned to two equal groups that attended a month of the experimental program. Group EICT learned with the ICT support and group EMAN learned with physical manipulatives support. The results showed that there was no difference in students’ 3D geometry achievement regardless of the support that was used, and that both supports provided learning access for all students. According to our results, teaching geometry should be directed to the complementary use of physical manipulatives and ICT support, depending on the technological and software resources available to schools and teachers’ preference of the support. ICT can assist in achieving learning equity, but there is a need for a systematic development of the ICT sources that could be used as instructional manipulatives, their promotion, and the support for the teachers.

The advancement of development nowadays has brought many positive and negative things for everyone. The positive impact can bring progress both in information and communication technology. Whereas, the negativity can lead to setbacks in society. One of them is politeness culture and mutual respect among the society. Indonesia is popular with its culture of manners and politeness but recently this culture has begun to disappear. For example,in several cases, students are no longer considered their teacher as a role model at school. Therefore, this research was intended to embed students’ moral and character through a habituation method. This method was expected to build the students’ character better.

This research was carried out at Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau located in Karang Manunggal village, Pulau Rimau sub-district, Banyuasin district. The subjects of this study were teachers at Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau who tested 16 people. In conducting this research, data from certain sources are needed that are as expected in this study. The technique of collecting data is by observation and interview. Data were analyzed using percentages to see the percentage of respondents' answers. Furthermore, all data is processed by analyzing qualitative data, namely data reduction, data display, and data verification. The formulation of the problem in this study is what forms are questioned by the teacher in utilizing technology-based media in Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau ? From the results of research on teacher barriers to using Information Technology (ICT) in Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau, two aspects related to the ability of teachers and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) were inadequate. The obstacle of the teacher's ability to master ICT is that the teacher is not proficient in using computers, judging from the percentage of teacher answers, 75% say they are not proficient in using technology-based media, whereas using computers is one of the activities that support computer-based media. In addition, teachers do not have an advanced educational background in the use of ICT media. Another obstacle in terms of facilities, in Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau there is no electricity network (PLN). In addition to not having a PLN, there is also the unavailability of computer facilities and laptops at the Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau.

Technology has been imposed on today’s students since their birth, them being surrounded by computers, tablets and other tools of the digital age. Mathematics is a teaching subject which represents the gratest obstacle to students in their schooling and prejudice against it has existed since the very beginning of schooling. Information and communication technology can make its learning much easier, both to students and teachers. The aim of the paper was to determine if there was a difference in the achievement of the students taught by contemporary GeoGebra classes and traditional classes. By conducting the research and interpreting the results, the GeoGebra program was found to have a significant role in learning of new contents in mathematics, and students have shown progress by working in the contemporary mode of GeoGebra program. It can be said that this program is very convenient in learning maths, especially in geometry, and the students were satisfied with their work in the program, what is confirmed with the results of the survey questionnaires on satisfaction issue.

Unquestionably, the rapid development of ICT has had a significant impact on various areas of human life including education in the past few decades. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to support educational activities in schools has increased significantly in several developing countries as in the case of Indonesia. The study aims to examine the attitudes of teachers of elementary schools located in all districts in West Kalimantan, one of the provinces on the Island of Kalimantan, Indonesia, towards ICT as a medium to support teaching and learning activities which includes the ease of use, effectiveness and satisfaction. This study investigates how elementary school teachers view ICT as a supporting tool for classroom learning activities and the barriers faced regarding the use of the technology in teaching and learning activities. A total of 102 elementary school teachers were involved in this investigation by acting in response to a questionnaire and 13 participants were selected voluntarily to take part in in-depth interviews about their attitudes on the use of ICT as a tool for educating activities and the barriers these teachers encountered. The findings indicate that elementary school teachers had a positive attitude towards the employment of ICT for instruction along with the various barriers they faced during teaching and learning activities.
