This research was conducted on women working professionals (such as entrepreneurs and managers/intrapreneurs), to understand the effects of organizational citizenship behaviour on the quality of their work life. A representative sample of 480 women working professionals was selected using a quasi-experimental sampling technique. The data were collected using the Organization Citizenship Behaviour-Checklist and Quality of Worklife Scale (QoWL) and was analyzed using ‘t’, UNIANOVA, two-way ANOVA with post-hoc analysis. Findings indicated that the respondents’ attitude towards work was favourably affected by their involvement, satisfaction and commitment towards their work-roles, organizational size and tenure of work. The analysis of interviews with respondents revealed that there is a negative impact of their professional lives on their psychological and physical self and many of them complained of experiencing insomnia, lack of consideration for own health, juggling between personal-professional life, dissatisfying work-life balance, negative displacement of anger among family members and children and so on. Striking similarities were also observed on the scores, high scorers were also observed to be high on achievement motive, have tolerance towards risk, were driven by ‘internal locus of control’, and were cautious and vigilant, having high intention towards entrepreneurial pursuits. Here ‘selection of the career’ has become their ‘lifestyle-by-product’ differentiating their work and life phenomena.

Every organization is interested in improving the work performance of its employees. Also, quality of work life (QWL) has become of paramount importance for the smooth functioning of an organization. The present research study, thus, attempts to assess the impact of QWL on Work Performance and its dimensions—task performance, contextual performance and counter-productive work behaviour (CWB) among the employees of Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL). The data was collected from a sample of 270 HPPCL employees, selected by using convenience sampling technique. Results of this study show that the QWL experienced by the employees of HPPCL has a significant and positive impact on their task, contextual and overall work performance, and a significant, weak and negative impact on their CWB. Results also reveal that the employees often performed their duties satisfactorily. However, they have been found to have a significant involvement in CWB, which has also been found to deteriorate their overall work performance. Thus, CWB is an area of concern for the organization. The study also discusses its various implications for the concerned organization, viz. improving overall work performance of its employees (emphasizing on enhancing their task and contextual performance and reducing their CWB) by adopting various measures to improve their QWL.

Nurses do absent from their work because workload is too heavy, 42.5% were agreed, 30% were strongly agreed, 12.5% were neutral,7.5% were disagreed and 7.5% were also strongly disagreed. The lack of appropriate recognition and reward could lead to dissatisfaction and absenteeism among nurses, in response of this question nurses asked that they do absent 31.3% agreed, 41.3% strongly agreed, 15.0% are neutral, 12.5%are disagreed and 0% are strongly disagreed. The study has adopted the simple random sampling technique of data collection mainly due to its advantage of the probabilities of selecting each and every member of the target population as the samples for the study. SEM model is used for data analysis. The study identified that the rewards and recognition factors have a strong correlation with work to family conflict and employees’ health & that of their family members construct has a more positive association with the family to work conflict. On the other hand, work to family conflict possesses more impact over the quality of life than that of the normal family to work conflict. Pressure ulcer is a serious problem on stroke patients. The incidence of pressure ulcer has a negative impact on the physical, psychological, social, spiritual and economic burden of the family. One of the efforts to prevent the pressure ulcer is by providing a sleeping position with a 30 ° or 90 ° sloping position. Some hospitals still apply standard operational procedures with a 90 ° sloping position. Therefore, it is important to retest the prevention of pressure ulcer on stroke patients by using both sloping positions. This study aimed to compare the effect of 30 ° and 90 ° sloping position on the incidence of presssure ulcer on stroke patients at Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung. This quasi-experimental study involved 34 patients taken using purposive sampling technique which was then divided into groups of 30° and 90°  sloping positions (17 respondents each) with the matching was based on the Braden scale. Each group was repositioned every 2 hours and the incidence of pressure ulcer was evaluated every day for 72 hours. The results showed the incidence of pressure ulcer in the 30 ° sloping position group (5.88%) and 90° sloping position (41.18%). Statistical results using exact fisher showed a value of p = 0.039 (<0.05) which means that the incidence of pressure ulcer in the 30° sloping group was significantly less than the result of 90° sloping group. Based on the odds ratio of 11.200, it means that stroke patients who were given a 90° sloping position are at risk 11 times higher risk of pressure ulcer than in stroke patients who were given a 30° sloping position. The conclusion in this study is the incidence of fewer pressure ulcer in a 30 ° sloping position. The results and treatment protocol in this study can be used as one of the considerations in efforts to prevent pressure ulcer, especially in stroke patients. Keywords: pressure ulcer, sloping position, stroke

Patients with COPD experience a fundamental inability to breathe in the form of shortness of breath, chronic cough, chronic sputum production, and limited activity. Aerobic exercise for COPD sufferers aims to reduce symptoms, improve quality of life and increase daily activities. This study aims to determine the effect of aerobic exercise on the quality of life of COPD patients. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest research design, using the sampling technique is purposive sampling with 44 respondents. Retrieval of data using a quality of life questionnaire for COPD patients. The results of the paired t test showed a value of p <0.000, which means that p <0.05, this shows in general that aerobic exercise has an effect on the quality of life of COPD patients. COPD sufferers who routinely do aerobic exercise regularly will increase their perfusion so that tissue needs can be fulfilled and COPD symptoms, especially shortness of breath, will decrease.
