Background:Evidence exists for a relationship between individual characteristics and both job and training performance; however relationships may not be generalizable. Little is known about the impact of therapist characteristics on performance in postgraduate therapist training programmes.Aims:The aim of this study was to investigate associations between the grades of trainee Low-Intensity and High-Intensity cognitive behavioural therapists and individual characteristics.Method:Trainee Low-Intensity (n= 81) and High-Intensity (n= 59) therapists completed measures of personality and cognitive ability; demographic and course grade data for participants were collected. Results:Degree classification emerged as the only variable to be significantly associated with performance across assessments and courses. Higher undergraduate degree classifications were associated with superior academic and clinical performance. Agreeableness was the only dimension of personality to be associated (positively) with clinical skill. Age was weakly and negatively associated with performance. Conclusions:Relationships between individual characteristics and training outcomes are complex and may be context specific. These results could have important implications for the selection and development of therapists for Low or High-Intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) training.

Cloudiness and range of visibility are the most significant flight conditions for aircraft. The impact of clouds and visibility on the safety of aircraft flights, especially small aircraft, cannot be overestimated. According to the Interstate Air Committee, Kazakhstan ranks second in the number of aviation disasters. The average age of a third of Kazakhstan's small aircraft is more than 30 years. Over the past few years, 14 air accidents have occurred in the Republic of Kazakhstan, 11 of them with small aircraft. In this work, we investigate long-term data on cloudiness and visibility at the most weather-favorable airfield in Balkhash, for the possibility of safe and economical flights of small aircraft and planning training flights.

The paper deals with the implementation of such a principle of criminal procedure as the adversarial nature of the parties, in relation to the modern con-ditions of digitalization of legal proceedings. The relevance of this topic is explained by the fact that the current stage of development of public relations, characterized by the significant digitalization of communication links, in turn, is reflected in changes in legislation in General, and criminal proceedings in particular. At the same time, competition is one of the fundamental principles of this branch of law, the application of which should also be reflected in changes in legislation. In the course of the work, the criminal procedure norms regulating these issues, statistical data on the work of courts of General ju-risdiction, opinions and positions of leading proce-dural scientists in Russia and foreign countries (the Republic of Kazakhstan, Germany) were examined. As a result of the conducted research, the conclu-sion is made about the impact of the development of digitalization of criminal proceedings on the prac-tical application of the principle of adversarial par-ties.

Abstract Introduction. The improvement of outcomes in sport requires the creation of appropriate conditions for training and the search for more effective forms of its organisation and effective technology. Starting with this belief, the aim of the work is to identify the size and structure of the training loads and determine the effectiveness of the training process of an elite athlete in the Olympic macrocycle (2004-2008). Material and methods. We analysed loads in the four-year training cycle from 2004 to 2008. The parameters of the loads relating to the intensity (T1-T5) and type of training (general, special, and specific) were analysed. The present study also attempted to assess the impact of the work on the results obtained. Due to the nature of the competitive effort, we used the measurable parameter of distance (m, km) in the load analysis depending on the type and intensity of the physical effort. Results. This work reports on the implementation of a specially designed four-year training programme. The material gathered and the conclusions resulting from its analysis have made it possible to identify organisational and training solutions suitable for the athletic proficiency phase. The analysis of training loads indicated that in the training of a highly skilled swimmer, the general work is particularly important and that the largest volume was realised in the second intensity range (T2). Conclusions. The positive training and competition outcomes were the result of a deliberate training process. The training proved to be effective, leading to an increase in the athlete’s training status. This was achieved primarily owing to the training loads, which were accurately planned and implemented according to the special requirements of the race distance and the individual characteristics of the swimmer.

The subject of this research consists in elaboration of the formalized assessment methods of the impact of reputation capital of the region upon the quality of life of the population. The object of this research is the Republic of Tatarstan. The authors substantiate the need for examining the nontraditional productive factors that determine the impact of economic development of the territories in the conditions of globalization of reproduction processes. It is underlined that at the current stage of development, it is important in the models of economic growth to take into account reputation potential of the region as one of the crucial generators of socioeconomic development in the context of digitalization of economic relations. Particular attention is turned to the questions of assessment of cumulative indexes of reputation of the territories, which form the foundation for formation of econometric models. Based on the proposed methods and approaches, the authors develop a model that in a formalized way allows determining the degree of impact of reputation capital of the region upon the parameters and dynamics of the income per capita as a paramount indicator of the quality of life. Application of the proposed methodological tools allowed substantiating the prospects, reasonableness and relevance of using with regards to the models of regional economic growth the exogenous factors, which characterize the level of development of nonmaterial factors of production. The obtained results prove the substantial correlation between the analyzed statistical arrays. It is established that augmentation reputation capital of the territories is an important task in the era of digitalization and globalization.

Lockdown drills are routinely conducted in schools across the U.S., yet little is known about the impact of such practices on participants—particularly for the faculty, staff, and administrators charged with student safety. The present study considers the effects of lockdown drills and associated emergency response training on perceived safety and preparedness at school for a sample of 3,000 school-based personnel in a large urban school district. After participating in drills and training, significant gains were made in perceived emergency preparedness, particularly among faculty and staff members, while perceived school safety—which already was particularly high—remained unaffected compared to ratings at baseline. Additionally, significant differences were found based upon respondent demographics, highlighting the importance in assessing subgroups’ needs during planning and implementation. Implications for school administration and relevant policymakers related to lockdown drills and training are considered within the context of creating a culture of preparedness.

Currently, reindeer husbandry actively uses tracking technologies to identify animals. They allow solving the problems of breeding and zootechnical accounting, tracking the movement of animals between herds, and carrying out antiepizootic measures. The electronic databases with individual characteristics of reindeer formed in this process allow speeding up the breeding process, organising breeding work in rein-deer breeding, improving the breed and regulating the herd. Keeping an electronic “registration” of calves to their mothers gives the possibility of system functioning of cross-breeding estimation of animals that will undoubtedly increase both productivity and economic efficiency of reindeer breeding as a whole. This article addresses an issue related to reindeer tracking technologies. Attention is paid to radio tracking and satellite tracking techniques. The use of modern methods of chipping animals is considered on the example of various territories of the Russian Federation: the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Trans-Baikal Krai, the Murmansk Oblast, the Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Republic of Karelia, the Arkhangelsk Oblast. The work carried out on deer chipping is considered for various time periods, during which monitoring, programs, projects and other large-scale studies of animal movement paths were carried out. The resulting data can then be processed using mathematical tools, after which conclusions can be drawn about the impact of the environment on reindeer migration routes.

Over the past fifteen years, the issue of protecting displaced women and girls has been a major focus of attention throughout the humanitarian community. Policies, guidelines, toolkits and training manuals have all been produced in great abundance. This chapter considers the impact of these policies on the protection of refugee and displaced women and girls, with particular reference to the case of Syria. The humanitarian community has taken important steps to address the needs of refugee women more effectively and certainly there is much greater awareness of the importance of gender in humanitarian responses. As the Syrian refugee and IDP case demonstrates, however, where the humanitarian community falls short is in encouraging the full participation of refugee and IDP women in decision-making, as well as in their relief and recovery. This chapter argues, therefore, that unless progress is made in all four of the WPS pillars—participation, conflict-resolution, protection, and relief and recovery—efforts by humanitarian actors to protect displaced women will always be limited.
