Road accident statistics has been reported increasing over the years and become one of the significant death contributors worldwide. In response towards this issue, appropriate countermeasures need to be outlined. Proposing a preventive plan requires comprehensive understanding on factors behind the occurrence of road accident. Therefore, this review paper aimed at investigating the factors behind the occurrence of road accident focusing on the technical factors. A review over five academic databases such as Emerald, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science and Wiley Online Library has been conducted leading towards an overall finding of 2462 related records. After screening and reviewing the records, only 38 studies were included. The result of the review indicated several technical factors in terms of road and vehicle faulty toward the occurrence of road accident.

Background: Road accident statistics has been seen increasing over the years despite numerous efforts made by the authorities. Human factors have contributed 90% of accident occurrence with risky driving behavior being one of the significant human factors that can be further explained through norms. This review paper aimed to investigate the relationship between norms and drivers’ risky driving behavior. Methods: A systematic review process was conducted through four academic databases namely Scopus, Wiley Online Library, Emerald and Web of Science of no limitation for date. Overall, 3443 titles were identified and after several screening and reviewing processes, only 27 studies were included. Results: The results of the review demonstrated mixed findings between subjective norm and risky driving behavior, whereas the relationship between group norm, moral norm, injunctive norm, descriptive norm and risky driving behavior were observed significant. Conclusion: Appropriate educational awareness is required to educate the society in practicing good norms for mutual benefit of the society. Parents also need to set a good example for their children by abiding the traffic rules and regulation.

Past studies have shown mental health and happiness are associated with each other. Several studies were done on the effectiveness of happiness training in several aspects. In this review paper, the effect of happiness training on mental health among adults is systematically reviewed. Through a search in Web of Science, PubMed, and Google Scholar using the “happiness training” keyword and its related words among post-2005 publications, the number of 18 research articles included in this review paper. Based on the systematic review, 18 variables in the selected studies are discussed which include anxiety, blood pressure, burnout, depression, emotions, flourishing, happiness, life expectancy, life satisfaction, migraine symptoms, mindfulness, quality of life, resilience, stress, tolerance, and well-being.

In addition to social and environmental factors, individual personality traits have intricately linked with maladaptive behaviour. Thus, the purpose of this article was to review the link between individual personality traits and criminality. A systematic review was conducted to obtain information regarding the link between individual personality traits with criminal behaviour in the Sage, Web of Science, APA PsycNet, Wiley Online Library, and PubMed databases. The results indicate that individual personality traits that contribute towards criminality are (i) psychopathy; (ii) low self-control; and (iii) difficult temperament. As an overall impact, the review is expected to provide in-depth understanding of the link between individual personality traits and criminality; hence, greater consideration will be given to the dimension of personality as a notable risk factor of criminal behaviour.


Values education is an initiative to produce individuals with an active role in self-development, society and nation. The real aim of values education is to develop students with a strong personal identity and moral perspectives abilities. In the context of achieving values education, teachers’ are the most influential person and play a pivotal role, and it is essential to understand teachers’ perception related to values education. The present study established to examine extant studies on teachers’ perception of values education implementation in the school. This research practised Systematic Literature Review methodology, led by PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analyses), relevant articles sought from electronic databases, Web of Science and Scopus identified 14 linked studies after screening and quality assessment. This review paper analyses two significant themes of teachers’ perception based on two research question, namely, (1) challenges and barriers and (2) teachers’ support. From those two major themes, further produced five sub-themes. Findings indicate that teachers’ reported obstacles in values education implementation such as teachers’ competence, teachers’ concern of students, and time constraints. Teachers felt supports that would improve their strengths to implement values education from collaboration support and teacher education. This suggestion of themes contributes to concerned parties to improve values education strategies that are in line with teachers’ capacities, interests, and the challenges in the globalisation era.

Abstract Introduction Neuropathy is one of the most common complications of diabetes, which causes many problems for diabetic patients. Thus, the aim of the present study was to investigate the prevalence of neuropathy among type 1 diabetic adolescents by systematic review and meta-analysis. Materials and methods This study is a systematic review and meta-analysis, which reviewed articles published from 2001 to September 1, 2018. The search process was carried out in the Google Scholar search engine and domestic and international databases such as Magiran, SID, Iranmedex, IranDoc, Medlib, PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, Springer, Wiley Online Library, Web of Science, Ebsco and Cochrane using Persian and English keywords based on MESH conformity. All the research steps were carried out by two members of the research team who were familiar with systematic reviews and meta-analysis data, using the software CMA. Analysis of meta-regression and the use of a random effects model were introduced and analyzed. Findings When a systematic search was carried out on the reviewed articles, five of them were included in the meta-analysis phase. The sample size was 484, and the prevalence of diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) in type 1 diabetic patients was 28.2% [confidence interval (CI) = 19.5–39.1]. The findings of the meta-regression analysis showed that the DPN prevalence rate decreased with increasing age (Q = 5.77 p = 0.016), and the results of more recent studies showed an increase in the DPN incidence rate (Q = 20.62, p < 0.001). Conclusion The findings of the present study revealed that although the prevalence of neuropathy in diabetic adolescents was not high, the prevalence was significant. Considering the increasing prevalence of diabetes and its impact on the health status of patients, appropriate interventions should be conducted to prevent diabetes and subsequent diabetic neuropathy.

<p><strong>Background and Objective:</strong> A set of new studies is offering perspective and guidance on the differences between using Real Time Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) and chest Computerized tomography (CT) in terms of sensitivity and specificity. This review paper addresses the comparative diagnostic potential of CT chest and RT-PCR for COVID-19. <strong>Method: </strong>An online literature search was carried out from Jan. 2020 to Apr. 2020 from Google -Scholar, Web of Science, Science Direct and PubMed using the MeSH key words. Twenty-five articles were retrieved. Articles with incomplete information and covering other factors like ethnicity were excluded and only the articles with comparison between two clinical diagnostic methods were included. Avoiding the duplication of issues, 5 articles were finally selected for review. <strong>Result:</strong> This review observed 98% pooled sensitivity of CT-chest being much higher than that of RT-PCR (75%). <strong>Conclusion:</strong> Patients with suspicion of COVID-19 should be screened using CT scan chest as a more sensitive technique.</p>

Background: Prediction of proteins’ secondary structure is one of the major steps in the generation of homology models. These models provide structural information which is used to design suitable ligands for potential medicinal targets. However, selecting a proper tool between multiple Secondary Structure Prediction (SSP) options is challenging. The current study is an insight into currently favored methods and tools, within various contexts. Objective: A systematic review was performed for a comprehensive access to recent (2013-2016) studies which used or recommended protein SSP tools. Methods: Three databases, Web of Science, PubMed and Scopus were systematically searched and 99 out of the 209 studies were finally found eligible to extract data. Results: Four categories of applications for 59 retrieved SSP tools were: (I) prediction of structural features of a given sequence, (II) evaluation of a method, (III) providing input for a new SSP method and (IV) integrating an SSP tool as a component for a program. PSIPRED was found to be the most popular tool in all four categories. JPred and tools utilizing PHD (Profile network from HeiDelberg) method occupied second and third places of popularity in categories I and II. JPred was only found in the two first categories, while PHD was present in three fields. Conclusion: This study provides a comprehensive insight into the recent usage of SSP tools which could be helpful for selecting a proper tool.

The objective of this paper is to present a review of current research on the valuation of ecosystem services, using emergy evaluation methodology (EME). A bibliometric analysis and a systematic review were carried out between 2000 and 2020, using all of Web of Science database subfields that collected 187 papers, selected through the keywords “emergy” and “ecosystem services”. In the second part of the research, we carried out a new search on Web of Science of the 187 initial articles produced, with the words “valuation” and “economic”, in order to analyze those directly related to the evaluation of ecosystem services. The results showed that the EME method is an effective tool to evaluate ecosystem services, since it relates economic and ecological aspects in the evaluations. The research also indicated that the use of isolated methods does not appear to be the most appropriate solution, and that emergy used in combination with other methodologies can be used to obtain more accurate and comprehensive results to evaluate natural resources.

Introduction: The objective of this systematic review is to assess the effect of vibrational force on biomarkers for orthodontic tooth movement. Methods: An electronic search was conducted for relevant studies (up to December 31, 2020) on the following databases: Pubmed, Google scholar, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Wiley Library, and ProQuest Dissertation Abstracts and Thesis database. Hand searching of selected orthodontic journals was also undertaken. The selected studies were assessed for the risk of bias in Cochrane collaboration risk of bias tool. The “traffic plot” and “weighted plot” risk of bias distribution are designed in the RoB 2 tool. The 2 authors extracted the data and analyzed it. Results: Six studies fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The risks of biases were high for 4, low and some concern for other 2 studies. The biomarkers, medium, device, frequency and duration of device, as well as other data were extracted. The outcomes of the studies were found to be heterogenous. Conclusion: One study showed highly statistically significant levels of IL-1 beta with <.001. Rate of tooth movement was correlated with levels of released biomarkers under the influence of vibrational force in 3 studies, but it was found to be significant only in 1 study. It was further observed that vibration does not have any significant reduction in pain and discomfort.

Educational technology has become an increasingly important element for improving the teaching and learning process of students. To achieve these goals, it is essential that teachers have the skills they need to be able to introduce technology into their teaching practice. However, this is often overwhelming and stressful for many of them. The aim of this review was to find out how research on teacher stress and anxiety associated with the use of educational technology was proceeding. A systematic review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines through the following bibliographic databases: PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus. Sixteen articles were found from the review. The main findings show that teachers present high levels of anxiety or stress due to their use of educational technology in the classroom. Among the conclusions, the need for research on different strategies to prevent the emergence of these anxiety and stress symptoms in teachers stands out.
