This paper contributes to the circular economy (CE) literature by investigating the drivers of success of the CE implementation in the construction sector and how those drivers can complement any implementation process in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). To do so, we analyzed the case of TECMO Estructuras Metálicas, using the methodology proposed by Jaca and colleagues to implement the CE in SMEs. It is a Colombian company with more than five decades of experience in the manufacture and installation of steel and aluminum structures for small and large building and infrastructure projects. The data were collected between August 2019 and November 2020 through direct communication with the company via workshops, meetings, and company reports. This research found that five drivers are relevant for implementing CE in the construction sector: fertile ecosystem, management commitment, identification of valuable materials, green teams, and CE intermediaries. Moreover, this study also contributes to teaching the implementation of the CE in companies, since it shows that through the methodology presented, implementation projects can be developed in postgraduate classes.

Poverty is one of the macroeconomic indicators in which Indonesia's economic development in aggregate shows a good picture and a decrease in the poverty level of the poor, but in terms of economic structure, segments of Indonesian society are still relatively lagging behind and relatively do not get real benefits from the results of development. Magelang Regency is one of the districts that have poverty problems. This poverty problem can be overcome by developing micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially in the industrial sector, where this sector is the leading sector in Magelang Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of financing on the income of MSEs as customers of BMT Bima industrial business group and how the role of BMT in overcoming the problem of poverty through the functions of baitul mall and baitul tamwil. This study uses a simple linear regression analysis tool. The results obtained (1) the financing variable does not have a significant effect on the income variable of MSME customers of BMT Bima Magelang industrial business group, this is because there are still customers who use financing for personal economic activities, (2) BMT is able to reduce poverty levels by providing assistance that comes from zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf and still persists by providing financing to MSME customers of the BMT Bima Magelang industry group

In Vietnam, as a result of limited financial competence, it is quite normal for small and medium enterprises to acquire loans from credit institutions, mostly under pledge and mortgage agreements. With the purpose of fostering economic growth, it is, therefore, very important to help individuals and businesses gain access to credit and increase the credit availability for them. In order to do so, obviously the possibility of predicting the time and cost involved in the realization of their security rights should be clearly seen by creditors through clear and effective regulations on enforcement or particularly on the foreclosure of collateral. In fact, Vietnamese laws on secured transactions has recently been developed under the Civil Code 2015, adding two new security devices which are retention of title and retention of property. The new code also clearly distinguishing security devices which have the characteristic of personal rights and real rights as well as perfects the mechanism of effectiveness against third parties. The paper focuses on presenting the differences between the foreclosure o pledged and mortgaged property in French laws and in Vietnamese laws and suggests some modifications to Vietnamese relevant statutes to protect the rights of both debtors and creditors in pledge and mortgage transactions, learning from French practices. Recommendations include a more active role of the securing party in serurity right enforcement process under judicial supervision, the court's involvement in property value appraisal, an extra-judicial mechanism for creditors for collaterall repossession and a provision setting forth an obligation of the secured party to diligently and effectively exploit the secured property to earn maximum fruit and incomes and deduct such amount from the interest and original loan.

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been accepted as engines of economic growth to promote and accelerate equitable development worldwide. The major advantage of this sector is its enormous employment potential which constitutes around 90% at significantly low capital involvement. In recent years the sector has consistently registered higher growth rate as compared to the overall industrial sector. With its agility and dynamism, the sector has shown admirable innovativeness and adaptability to survive the recent economic downturn and recession. However, despite the significant contributions made towards various aspects of the nation’s socio-economic scenario, this sector too faces several critical issues that require immediate attention. One such factor that falls under this text is the prevalence of age old technologies across the sectors and inherent inefficiencies associated with resource and energy utilization. As a result of increasing awareness towards efficient usage of energy and other resources, there has been a visible reduction in energy intensity but still studies conducted on the MSME sector reveal that the energy intensity per unit of production is much higher than that of the organized large scale sector. Most foundry units which are highly energy intensive fall under MSME category in India. India produces 12.24% of global casting at present. If energy intensity per unit production of MSME is to be brought closer to that of organized large scale sectors then energy conservation is the only way that can do so with efficient use of energy and steep rejection of energy wastage without suppression of demand for energy use.

One of the topical priorities of the Russian economy at the present time is to strengthen the position of small business. Its development contributes to the optimization of the competitive economic environment, strengthening the integration of the scientific and technical sphere and production. The current system of state support for small businesses is also aimed at this. It has been significantly strengthened in the face of restrictions on activities due to the spread of coronavirus infection. The Unified Register of Small and Medium Enterprises as of 10 August 2021 contains 5,620,997 units with a number of employees of 14,646,503. At the same time, in 2021, there is a decrease in the number of individual entrepreneurs and peasant farms. At the same time, negative dynamics is observed in all constituent entities of the Russian Federation. A possible reason for this may be the level of taxation of small businesses. The purpose of the study is to reveal the theoretical and practical aspects of possible ways to optimize taxation of small businesses through the prism of the permissible level of tax burden on them. The research is based on the step-by-step disclosure of the existing systems of taxation of small businesses; basic methods for calculating the indicator of the tax burden and ways to optimize taxation; tax burden of a particular organization and proposals for tax optimization. The study resulted in recommendations on the organization of permanent control over the level of the tax burden of an economic entity, the choice of the optimal taxation regime from all possible and competent use of the tax benefits provided.
