The main purpose of the research is to investigate educational technology standards self-efficacy (ETSSE) of teachers. Quantitative research methods, namely he survey and correlational (prediction) research designs, were used in the study. The participants of the research are constituted of teachers (n=419) who served at secondary (n=10) and high schools (n=6) in the nearby districts of Diyarbakır, in the spring semester of 2014-2015 academic year. While no significant differences were found in the ETSSE and all sub-dimension mean scores with regard to level of school teachers serve in, teaching experience and their degree of learning, the scores of ETSSE significantly differentiated in terms of teachers' gender and branches. According to the regression analysis, the attitudes towards using technology in education and level of developing materials for lessons had the most important relation in explaining ETSSE scores (R=.47; Adjusted R2=.22; p=.00). When the views of the teachers are investigated with regard to their ICT usage: in planning and preparation for the course, in designing the course content, in the course of instruction, measurement and evaluation process; ETSSE scores were differentiated in support of the teachers who used ICT in all the process of the lessons than the others who used ICT in one or two different processes.

Nowadays, the concept of performance can be related to almost any field of activity, taking into consideration the fact that setting, achieving and even exceeding goals appear to be of constant interest for individuals involved in working activities. Additionally, research literature is rich in notions related to performance measurement, evaluation and management. The same interest in literature is met for the concept of teachers’ self-efficacy and evidence show these two concepts are strongly related one to the other. Hence, the current study aims to bring a new perspective for these topics by analyzing work performance and self-efficacy in the field of education employees, i.e. high-school teachers, and the extent to which they perceive their self-performance and self-efficacy levels. As the present paper focuses on determining the level of the previously mentioned concepts among high school teachers from Romania, the data were gathered through an online questionnaire, answered by 603 Romanian high-school teachers and later analyzed according to quantitative research methods. The results of this study, consistent with the methodology used and within the limitations, show a high level of both perceived work performance and perceived self-efficacy among the high-school teachers. These facts could be of great interest for educational stakeholders, fellow researchers and policy makers.

Abstract This study aimed to determine the correlation of career decision-making self-efficacy and career decision making. The hypothesis of this study that there is a correlation between self-efficacy and career decision making. Subjects in this study are 405 high school students in Jakarta. This study used quantitative research methods and data collection using CDSE-SF (Career Decision Self Efficacy- Short Form) and CDS (Career Decision Scale) which has been translated into Indonesian. The result of the reliability test for CDSE-SF scale was 0.840 and 0.866 for CDS scale. The result validity test of CDSE-SF from 0.310 to 0.551; while CDS of 0.334 to 0.641. The process of data analysis using SPSS 17 applications, Pearson product moment correlation. These results contrast with the hypothesis, there was no correlation between career decision making self-efficacy and career decision making (r = 0.094, p> 0.05). It can be concluded that the proposed hypothesis is rejected. This study has contributed in the field of educational psychology research additions adolescent career.Keywords: career decision-making self-efficacy, career decision making

The aim of this study is to find out the extent to which pre-service teachers’ life skills predict their sense of self-efficacy. The study employed a relational screening model within the quantitative research paradigm and included 195 pre-service teachers in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Pedagogical Formation Program. The data was collected through a life skills scale, a teacher self-efficacy scale and a questionnaire. The findings indicated a significant strong positive correlation between pre-service teachers’ life skills and their sense of self-efficacy in teaching (r=.624). Life skills accounted for 38.9 of the variance in teacher sense of self-efficacy. There were not any significant differences in teacher sense of self-efficacy between males and females, graduates and non-graduates, participants and non-participants in life skills training (p>0.05). The sense of self-efficacy of pre-service teachers with teaching experience was found to be higher than that without it (p<0.05).

Judgment audit is a consideration made by public accountants in making an audit plan, and before issuing an opinion on the company's financial statements. The independent variables of this study are skepticism, auditor experience, and self efficacy. The dependent variable of this study is judgment audit. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the influence of skepticism, auditor experience, and self efficacy on judgment audits at the Public Accountant Office in Medan. This research uses descriptive quantitative research methods with the nature of research of causal relationships. The data were collected with questionnaires which were tested for validity and reliability before conducting the research. The test equipment used is normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test. This study uses purposive sampling with a total of 90 respondents in the Public Accountant Office in Medan. The results of the study on the hypothesis indicate that skepticism, auditor experience, and self efficacy partially and simultaneously influence the judgment audit on the Public Accounting Firm in Medan. The conclusion of this study shows that skepticism, auditor experience, and self-efficacy have a positive and significant effect on judgment audits at the Public Accountant Office in Medan.Keywords: Skepticism, Auditor Experience, Self Efficacy, Audit Judgment

Leonard J. Rosen defines academic writing as an “informed, logical, clear, well structured, and based on evidence” (Rosen, 2009) prose style which serves to describe, understand, and further investigate the world around us. Academic writing rests upon common standards of logic and clarity which enable writers to enter into a conversation through their writing. Developing effective writing skills for academic purposes is a crucial aspect of higher education. These skills are indispensable for the students since they affect their overall academic success, but also their life outside the university. The present paper deals with the challenges of developing effective writing skills for academic purposes in the Macedonian language in students in the Republic of North Macedonia. It presents a part of the findings of a five-year research conducted at the higher education institution University American College Skopje (UACS). The aim of the research is to explore the gap between the expected already acquired writing skills at secondary school and the writing skills for academic purposes the students should develop in higher education. The present paper presents the data obtained from the self-evaluation process conducted from spring semester 2015 until spring semester 2019. The quantitative research method was used in the research and the quantitative data obtained were analyzed, textually interpreted, and visually presented. Twenty nine point three percent of the students said that they knew how to write a short essay where they would present evidence for a point of view and 32.4% said that they are not sure how to do this. Even though writing an essay (titled “project assignment”) is a required part of the mandatory State Baccalaureate (Matura) exam since 2010 and all students had completed it in order to enroll at University, 38.3% of the students involved in the research said that they do not know how to do this.

The study aims to determine the self-efficacy perceptions of social studies teachers about measurement and evaluation in education. In the research using quantitative research models, descriptive survey model was used. Study group of the research is composed of 122 social studies teachers in Kucukcekmece district of Istanbul province in 2018-2019 academic years. Data collection tool of this study is “The Self-efficacy Perception Scale of the Teacher Candidates based on Measurement and Evaluation in Education” developed by Kılınç (2011). The difference between the self-efficacy levels of the participants about measurement and evaluation and the gender variable was examined. The findings revealed that self-efficacy perceptions of the male participants about measurement and evaluation were higher than those of the female participants. In addition to this, the difference between the self-efficacy levels of the participants about measurement and evaluation and their educational background was also examined. The research findings demonstrated that there is not any significant difference between the self-efficacy levels of the participants about measurement and evaluation and their educational background. Another finding obtained as a result of the study revealed that self-efficacy perceptions of the History and Geography graduates of the universities’ Faculty of Arts and Sciences about measurement and evaluation in education are at a lower level than the Faculty of Education Social studies teaching graduates. Finally, the finding that self-efficacy levels of the participants about measurement and evaluation showed a significant difference according to their professional seniority is obtained.

AbstractThis study uses the quantitative research approach to examine the connection between students’ teamwork experience, self-regulated learning, technology self-efficacy, and performance in an online educational technology course. Sixty-three (63) students participated in this study. The study data were collected through an online questionnaire that included background information, course satisfaction, motivation strategies for learning, and online technology self-efficacy, to study the variables’ interactions using quantitative research. To realize this study’s aims, multivariate regression and correlation approaches were employed to analyze the online students’ data. The multivariate regression analysis results show a relationship between self-regulated learning, the online course level, and the number of online courses that the students have completed. Right self-regulated learning strategies in online courses motivate students to strive for a good teamwork experience, leading to increased interest in online learning. In addition, the results also show that there is a relationship between satisfaction and the level of the online course. Achieving good grades makes the student more satisfied and improves the level of technology use. Finally, this study established a relationship between the students’ motivation and the online course level. Therefore, teachers and course designers should implement learning objects that promote students’ engagement and motivation in online learning environments.

Education is a milestone in civilization change, thus human resources are needed to make this change. The human resources in mention are teachers or educators. Teachers are human beings who play an important role in being able to educate the life of the nation and state. Teachers are mandatory to mastering skills, intellect, and competence in dealing with all problems in tasks either are easy or difficult. In the context of teacher education has an important role in making change. There are many things that need to be conducted, it thus requires skills. One of the things that can be seen from the ability of teachers to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching is self-efficacy. Self-efficacy is a belief which provides experience to individuals in doing and achieving something. Self-efficacy is only a small part of the picture of human activities in life. This study uses quantitative research methods using research instruments in the form of self-efficacy. The technique of collecting data used in this study is non-probability sampling, namely purposive sampling. The sample in this study were 280 people consisting of junior high school teachers from various schools in the district of Sidrap. The measuring instrument used in this study is a self-efficacy scale based on the Bandura theory. The technique of data analysis used in this research is descriptive statistics. The results showed that the description of the level of teacher knowledge in Sidenreng Rappang Regency was in the medium category with the proportion of 38.29%.

This study aims to determine whether there is a correlation between self-efficacy and adversity quotient for students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi Klaten. This type of research uses quantitative research methods with a correlational approach. Sampling methods using simple random sampling with data collection techniques in the form of a scale. The research subjects were 70 students from class XI of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi, Klaten. The results obtained correlation analysis (rxy) of 0.708 with a p-value 0.000 that is lower than 0.05, meaning that there is a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and the student's adversity quotient. This can indicate that the higher the student's self-efficacy, higher the adversity quotient of the student, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Self efficacy and adversity quotient in students of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Wedi, Klaten are classified as moderate. The coefficient of determination (R2) of the correlation is 0.724, meaning that self-efficacy contributes effectively to the adversity quotient by 72%, which means there are 28% of the other factors that affect students adversity quotient
