Kata Kunci: Implementasi kontekstual teaching learning Abstract: The research was conducted through action research involving subjects as many as 39 students of electrical education department of technical faculty Unimed, concerning the problems of contextual teaching learning implementation through mini rsearch in education research method course. The formulation of this researh problem is “whether the implementation of contextual teaching learning through mini research can improve students' competencies in building research proposal?. The study was conducted in 5 cycles with a target achievement of 85% of students achieving a score of ≥ 80. The results are an increase of the cycle to the next cycle, the first cycle, there were 12 students (30.76%) targets; in the second cycle there are 19 students (48.71%) targets; In the third cycle there were 24 students (61.53%) targets; in the fourth cycle there are a number of 28 students (71.79%) to reach the target, and the cycle of V contained 34 students (87.17%) has reached the target. Based on the findings of the study concluded that the implementation of contextual teaching learning through mini research can improve the competence of students in developing research proposals. Keywords: Contextual teaching learning implementation

AbstractThe novelty of this research is in applying the construction of the Shane Theory and Entrepeneurial Learning Model in applying Entrepreneurship Education at a higher education institution. This study used action research by utilizing a narrative method. The business field which matched with the academic discipline as well as business interest and hobby was more successful than that which had a different prospect as a startup. Leadership, entrepreneurship, and managerial ability are the determining factors in the success of a startup company. It can delve more into the entrepreneurship process of startups to recognize opportunities to create ideas, start businesses, and develop businesses.

This chapter contributes to the debate around whether acquiring entrepreneurial competencies is the main driver of the promotion and development of an entrepreneurial spirit and a sense of initiative. To do this, this chapter investigates the effects of early entrepreneurship education in non-cognitive entrepreneurial skills, such as creativity, innovation, risk taking, and other relevant soft skills. Specifically, this chapter examines the preliminary results of action research carried out on primary school students. The findings of this research reveal interesting insights and shed light on new teaching methods and perspectives that create a funny learning environment enriched by a cooperative climate and proactive behaviors in children.

The purpose of this study was to better understand how teachers in Wales differ from their counterparts in England in regard to their engagement with educational research. In 2010, the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) conducted a study of over 4,000 teachers in England. Many of the questions referred to their engagement in forms of educational research. In 2013, the same questions were posed to 216 teachers in Wales. A comparison of the findings indicate teachers in Wales were more likely to have recently undertaken action research than the England teachers. They also found others' research findings more useful in their teaching. Additionally, the teachers in Wales were more likely than England teachers to agree that they know where to find relevant research to inform their teaching and that they are able to understand and use the research. With recent concerns over educational research and initial teacher education (ITE) in Wales, these findings provide insight into how teachers in Wales perceive and engage with education research and may help to inform policies enabling teachers to produce and implement evidencebased practices into their pedagogy.

It is a truth universally acknowledged that in UK Higher Education Institutions excellent is the new good. With HEIs striving to achieve ‘excellence in teaching’ in order to attract the best students, questions are being asked about how to measure excellence and about whether or not lecturers are supported in doing so. How can lecturers devise reliable measures for evaluating the quality of their teaching? The following piece conceptualises the relationship between education research and practice in HE through discussing the sustainable integration of education research into teaching practice. The overarching aim is to discuss the potential for a pedagogy centred on the development of action research in educator development programmes and thus gauge how sustainable such practices can be in HE.

Although most students of entrepreneurship education find employment in established organizations after graduation, the employability of entrepreneurship education graduates remains largely overlooked in the education research literature. In this conceptual paper, the authors address this gap to motivate a future research agenda. The paper describes how entrepreneurship education may enable or impede the graduates’ entrance, development and transition in the labour market. To develop the theoretical arguments, the authors build on a processual conceptualization of employability. Seven propositions are presented to conceptually explore how competencies that are obtained through entrepreneurship education may influence the employability of graduates in a dynamic labour market. The propositions lay the groundwork for future studies on entrepreneurship education graduates’ employability and set a research agenda for how the employability of these graduates could be studied.

In 2013, as part of the Higher Education Leadership and Management national initiative sponsored by US AID, Universitas Cenderawasih proposed an action research project to address the under-employment of UNCEN graduates through purposeful entrepreneurship education. Although entrepreneurship education had been introduced previously at UNCEN, it had never been custom designed to integrate theory and practice appropriate to Papua as part of the formal curriculum. This paper focuses on the use of core principles of the action research process (ARP) to develop and implement a locally effective curriculum for students enrolled in UNCEN’s Faculty of Economics. A central value underlying the project was the development of a curriculum that could address social inequalities in Papua, specifically the significant under-representation of Papuan native peoples in the entrepreneurship sector.Through a mixed methods approach that used demographic, attitudinal and outcome data as well as observational, interview and focus group data, the ARP team designed an experientially-based learning module, documented implementation of thepilot learning module, evaluated its effectiveness, and developed proposals for improvement and institutionalization. As a result of its action research project, the ARP team suggests that future iterations of the entrepreneurship curriculum at UNCEN should adopt a culturally responsive pedagogy (Gay, 2010; Ladson-Billings, 1995) that addresses the disparities in cultural and social capital shown to be significant in the ARP to entrepreneurship education.
