Abstract The Youth Report 2014 recognizes the possibility to take positive action towards the others as an element that contributes to let young people achieve a sense of happiness. Despite this, we can observe in schools the presence of individualistic and competitive educational models affirming the predominance of fixed cognitive standards. That can bring to a situation of marginalization of those who are hegemonically located outside of a pre-established definition of norm. Considering these assumptions, the authors have developed an inclusive and prosocial teaching model, based on the Cooperative Learning approach, aimed to encourage prosocial skills among students. The research, that used qualiquantitative data, has involved a sample of 42 students and 12 teachers of the Middle School. The comparison between pre and post test highlights a higher increase in helping dimension and in the subsample of males students, joint to general improvements within teaching-learning processes and relationships.

      This research consists of two parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. The first part provides a general description of idioms and idiomatic expressions. The definition of the idiom depending on different points of view and theories, its composition and types according to different standards and criteria, and the relation between the idiom and other linguistic phenomena were given in detail. To give a simplified and complete image about idioms and to pave the way to the second part of the research, which focuses specifically on one type of idioms "idioms from numbers", all aspects regarding the idiom should be clarified in detail. The reason for choosing this kind of idioms is the absence of studies that tackle it well, particularly in Iraq ,and this type represents the core of the second part of present research .This part refers to the importance and role of idioms from numbers in comprehension English at various levels such as syntactic, semantic  , vocabulary and context. To achieve the purpose of this research, two tests (pre -test and post- test) have been constructed and presented to a group of specialists to verify their validity and reliability. Then, the two tests were applied to a sample consisting of 40 undergraduate students and a lecture dealing with the subject of research has been delivered to the sample. The results of the two tests have been analyzed  statistically and compared with each other in order to show the progress of achievement  of the sample at various levels of the language which were mentioned above . In the light of the results of the study, several conclusions were inferred, one of them, the important and effective role played by idioms from the numbers in teaching English as a foreign language for Iraqi students.

This study was aimed at gaining a comprehensive overview of the influence of hypertext-based history teaching method towards the increase of historical concept understanding. The method used in the study was experimental method, i.e. through non – equivalent control group design (pre-test and post-test). Some points were concluded from the data collected within the study. First, the implemented hypertext-based history teaching model had affected learning activities to focus more on mental activities (thinking process). The whole teaching learning activities benefitted the students a wide chance to study, observe, compose, deliver the questions, answer them, consider others’ view, discuss questions by relating them with textual concepts, and make conclusion together. Second, the hypertext-based history teaching model test showed was proved to that the influence the increase of historical concept mastery was increased by n gain of 0.5 at the experimental class, 0.4 at the control class, with significance value of 0.00 and α = 0.05

The article examines such forms of educational cooperation between Russia and China as participation in the activities of the SCO and BRICS Network Universities and the creation of joint educational institutions. The authors have carried out an analysis of educational models of the SCO University and determined the role of the basic Russian and Chinese universities in the implementation of the priority areas of training specialists for the SCO member countries. Educational models, priority training areas planned for implementation at the BRICS Network University, as well as the universities – members of the BRICS branch of the Russian and Chinese sides have been described. The paper dwells on the issue of joint educational institutions in China: the definition of joint institutions used in Chinese regulatory documents has been given, a statistical analysis has been carried out of China’s joint institutions created together with foreign universities. The educational models of four joint educational institutions of Russia and China operating on the territory of the People’s Republic of China are studied. The conclusion was made about the role of Russia and China in the development of the world educational space and the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in creating joint educational institutions.

<p>Innovative way in teaching L2 learners can be considered as a challenging job while it can be facilitated by using "Magic Box" as a tool box consists of many <span lang="EN-GB">stationeries</span>, types of papers and reuse things to innovate new interactive media. The main purpose of this study was conducted to identify the role of "Magic Box" in innovating interactive media in teaching vocabulary. The samples participants of the study were 10 students of English Department of STKIP Al Hikmah Surabaya. They were chosen because of they have to practice their teaching skills start from first semester, so they should develop their vocabulary. The lecture will guide and show to the students how to innovate interactive media using “Magic Box”. This study was designed as a qualitative study with pre-test and post-test instruments allow lectures to empirically evaluate the effectiveness of "Magic Box" in innovating interactive media in learning vocabulary by the students through formative assessment. After analyzing the pre-test and post-test it was found that using "Magic Box" has the important and determine role in teaching vocabularies to the students, as it was not possible as well as learning with just repetition and memorizing methods. Furthermore, "Magic Box" has its potential as a tool box for innovate interactive media, be able to motivate students especially the passive one in the whole teaching learning process, and also trigger the students to be more creative in innovating interactive media to improve their vocabulary.</p>

Objective: to identify the configuration and institutionalization of pedagogical practices and teaching processes in the discipline of nursing, as well as the proposals that emerge for the integral human development, according to the humanistic approach underlying the profession. Methodology: integrative literature review based on the question: What are the scientific products that suggest the configuration and institutionalization of pedagogical practices and learning processes in nursing? Results: 78 articles were selected of which 58 formed the final sample which allowed for the structuring and analysis of two categories: pedagogical practices, a process of reflection and transition; critical pedagogy and learning processes, a challenge for the discipline. Conclusions: Nursing has a legacy of biomedical-traditional educational models, which have shaped a positivist teaching-learning process. In this historical process, one of the priorities is knowing the model institutionalized by academic programs with the aim of discussing and rethinking its coherence with the disciplinary phenomenon: care.

Bahasa Inggris saat ini dapat dikatakan  bahasa yang  universal  karena banyak  digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi di pelbagai negara. Salah satunya di Indonesia Bahasa Inggris dipelajari mulai dari tingkat sekolah dasar hingga perguruan tinggi. Dalam bahasa inggris di perguruan tinggi mahasiswa akan mempelajari berbagai macam tenses dan tidak sedikit dari mereka yang merasa kesulitan dalam memahaminya. Salah satu contohnya ialah future tense. Peranan media pembelajaran dalam proses pengajaran sangat penting, apabila mahasiswa masih ada yang merasa kesulitan hal ini menunjukan bahwa media pembelajaran tersebut perlu dikembangkan dibuat lebih menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan media pembelajaran comic strip. Peneliti memilih komik strip karena dianggap komik strip lebih menarik dan lebih sederhana. Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti ialah penelitian tindakan kelas yang akan dilakukan  ujicoba terhadap 3 kelas yang masing – masing kelas terdiri dari 40 mahasiswa, jumlah keseluruhan menjadi 120 mahasiwa. Dalam hal ini peneliti akan melakukan pretest kemudian melakukan tindakan kelas lalu post test guna melihat hasil dari pengunaan comic strip dalam pembelajaran. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan nilai tes dan hasil wawancara. Data menunjukan ada peningkatan nilai rata- rata 18%. Kata kunci : Komik Strip, Media pembelajaran, Future tense     Abstract   Todays we can say that English is a universal language because it is used as communication tool in many countries. In Indonesia English is studied from elementary school to college. Student in college will study any kinds of tenses, and some of them face the difficult in understanding it, for example future tense. The role of teaching learning media in teaching process is very important. If there is student who feels the difficulties, it means that the teaching learning media need to be improved and made more interesting. The aim of this research is to find the effectiveness of comic strip. The researchers choose comic strip because they think that comic strip is more interesting and simple than before. Researchers use action research method that will be tested to 3 classes which consist of 40 students from each class, and the total respondent is 120 students. Researchers will take the pretest, action in the class, take the post test to see the result of using the comic strip. The data collection is taken from score and interview. the data shown the increasing 18%. Key words : comic strip, teaching and learning media, future tense.

Laboratory training and exercises provide hands-on experience to the students. However, the limitations in the laboratory facilities in the engineering colleges may affect the teaching and learning process of the future engineers. Hence, Government of India has started an initiative called Virtual Lab to overcome this issue. The premier institutions in India were funded and these institutes are the nodal centre in providing virtual lab facilities to colleges which do not have sophisticated laboratory facilities. The advancement in IT and internet facilities can no more hamper students and researchers in enhancing their skills and knowledge. Also, in a country such as India, costly instruments and equipment need to be shared with fellow researchers to the greatest extent possible. This chapter discusses and highlights the Virtual Lab initiatives and implementations.

This research is aimed at increasing the student's vocabulary mastery through cooperative learning approach. The subyects were the third grade at the second semester student of Elementary School 2 Baruga Kendari Southeast Sulawesi, academic year 20J3/2014.The data were collected through observation, pre test, post test and teaching-learning proccess. Based on the result of the pre test, an action program was designed.. The post test was a mean to evaluate the action conducted in one semester. The instrument of this action research were the researcher, collaborator, the training and the given test, were some aspect used to improved the student's vocabulary ability in English, namely: the aspect of understanding, pronounciation, and action The result of this research based on the value compared from pest test and post test, showing the increasing of vocabulary mastering about 30% at understanding, 30%pronounciation, and 70%action The action reseach was conducted in one semester consisting of ten sessions of each cycle. The research went through two cycles including twenty times of meeting or teaching and learning proses. Each cycles has its ownfocus of learning. The data analyzed were qualitative data. The improvement of vocabulary ability could be observed trough the teaching­ learning procces and trough the result of the training as well as the tests.
