The use of internet technology allows parents and children activities to be higher and more diverse. From the family aspect, this condition allows changes in the parents’ roles in educating their children. Furthermore, when it is viewed from the children aspect, it is possible to change the meaning of social values ​​by the generation Z. Based on this phenomenon, there are two important issues that need to be studied. First, this research aims to reveal the parents’ roles in building characters of socio-cultural values ​​to Generation Z. Second, it aims to reveal the meaning of socio-cultural values ​​by Generation Z. The research used a qualitative approach with the Habitus theory initiated by Bourdieu as the data analysis technique. The research findings showed that the parents’ roles in building socio-cultural character can be divided into two categories. The first category is families that always provide parental accompaniment to their children and the second category is families that barely provide parental accompaniment to their children. Furthermore, based on the meaning of socio-cultural values, the social interaction value was interpreted as a communication with other people that does not have social implications. The other interpreted social interaction as a communication between two or more people with social implications. The value of solidarity was interpreted as a form of concern for others, while lifestyle was interpreted as a form of appearance that has no social implications and others considered it to have social implications. The value of tolerance was interpreted as the behavior of respecting differences.

AbstrakSalah satu manfaat pariwisata adalah untuk memperkuat preservasi warisanbudaya dan tradisi. Dalam konteks itu, penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk memahamicara masyarakat Kampung Naga mewariskan nilai-nilai budayanya melalui kegiatanpariwisata pendidikan. Teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi kepustakaandigunakan untuk mengumpulkan datanya. Metode analisis datanya menggunakananalisis kualitatif interpretatif, sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan modelinteraktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pariwisata dimanfaatkanoleh masyarakat Kampung Naga untuk mewariskan nilai-nilai budayanya kepadapelajar dan mahasiswa melalui pariwisata pendidikan. Nilai-nilai budaya masyarakatKampung Naga yang dapat dinikmati wisatawan melalui atraksi wisata budaya tangibledan intangible diwariskan pada pelajar dan mahasiswa dengan cara tinggal dan terlibatdalam kehidupan sehari-harinya. Dengan cara itu, pelajar dan mahasiswa dapat secaraintensif mempelajari nilai-nilai budaya masyarakat Kampung Naga karena terbanguninteraksi sosial yang intim antara pelajar/mahasiswa dengan masyarakat KampungNaga. AbstractThis study was conducted to the influents of the Islamic symbolisms toward the decision of consumption buying of the food products. This is a quantitative research. A survey was also involved in this research. Data are also collected through questionnaire to gain an accurate information. Data analysis technique used was a simple regression. The research findings show that Islamic symbolisms have significant influents toward decision to buy food products. That is, t value of p significant is < 0,005 (0,000 < 0, 05) while R square is 0,273 or 27,3 %. In conclusion the influents of Islamic symbols toward the decision on buying have influents as of 27, 3 %. Keywords: Islamic Symbolism, Decision on buying, food products.

These days, the use of Internet technology can be found in almost every sector of human life. One of the advanced Internet technologies is Internet of Things (IoT), that is a technology where devices can communicate via Internet connectivity. It is used in many vital industries like automotive, electricity, home automation, and healthcare. This study aims to implement IoT technology for healthcare sector, i.e. in helping obesity people to pursue their weight-loss program (WLP). The result is a system which consists of a smart weight scale, a mobile application, and food menu recommendation database in order to help obesity people in their WLP program. With the rapid development of Internet technology in China, mechanical drawing plays a more and more important role in social development and practice. The main purpose is to use the course of mechanical drawing to accurately represent the appearance, size, principle and technology of the machine. It is often called the language of communication in the industry. In order to make mechanical drawing better applied and practiced, and to make maximum use of Internet technical resources, the establishment of multimedia courseware teaching mechanism is the development trend of mechanical drawing.In order to adapt to the trend of network information, based on the multimedia environment, this paper studies the application of animation technology in mechanical drawing teaching, and constructs a small multimedia teaching platform. Through the explanation of animation courseware, students can better understand the making and principle of mechanical drawing, and cultivate students' divergent thinking. The teaching platform combines teaching material knowledge with practice to deepen students' understanding of the basic content of mechanical drawing. Finally, the rationality and practicability of the system are analyzed by investigating the platform users. The results show that the application of animation technology in mechanical drawing teaching is reasonable and practical.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to study extensive enlargement and safety of flight data recorder memory. Design/methodology/approach The study involves the moving the memory of flight data recorders from an internal embedded device to a cloud. Findings The implementation has made the embedded memory device of flight data recorder effectively unlimited, and, hence, much more information can be stored. Research limitations/implications The possibility of a flight data recorder to be damaged or lost in a crash is not so high, but the implementation can be very helpful in cases such as aerial disappearances. Practical implications The implication is larger and protected memory for flight data recorders. Social implications Finding reasons for crashes is faster, and immediate actions can be taken to find remedy to the failures. Originality/value The use of internet and cellphones in airplanes is nothing special at present. It is suggested to take this technology for flight data recorders as well.

This study aimed to identify the role of Internet technology in transforming the role of its users to promoters of medical products in Jordan. The study found that there are statistically significant effects of independent variables (multipurpose and advanced Internet programs, reduced costs of the use of Internet programs, collective and interactive communication via the Internet, and Internet information abundance and variety of its resources) on the dependent factor, which is transformation of the role of Internet users to promoters of medical products in Jordan. The study recommended increasing attention on networks to promote medical products in Jordan. This is consistent with the fact that promotion via networks has become an effective way to support and enhance the image of products and its delivery to the target group in all markets around the world.

This paper reveals how the sources of Javanese culture, which has been instilled by parents of children as the new generation of the successor to the family business, can act as values of sources of inspiration which shapes the behavior of entrepreneurship in the creative industry. Entrepreneurship in family businesses uses these Javanese values as the standards of the family's belief, which makes the principles as an identity that guides them in entrepreneurship and creates a way of life in the running entrepreneurialism. The method used in this research is a social constructionist, narrative and interpretive. The narrative-based research approach is done through data collection with depth interview, and non-participatory observation as well as analysis of the theme that create the methodological foundation. The ideas emerged and developed from in narrative face-to-face that became a proposition of research findings. Findings clearly indicate the relationship between Javanese cultures which is owned by parents has been the values that are believed by the second generation and this has motivated their behavior entrepreneurship, and impact the learning element of entrepreneurship, as well as orientation in entrepreneurship.  The internalization of the values of Javanese culture Bapakisme (paternalism) and Rukun (harmony) have motivated the behavior of entrepreneurship when running a business relationship. Javanese cultural values implemented in the form of obedience to parents, keeping harmony, learning competitors, watching of God, sincere, assertive, fortune flows, trust, motivating, cultivation of religious values, and independent values. The research provides new insights into the culture of entrepreneurship at the local level and links the insights to the cultivation of cultural values in entrepreneurship, which is realized in everyday behavior. The construct built provides the possibility of new learning materials for the perpetrators of entrepreneurs in Indonesia, where 47% of the population of Indonesia is Javanese ethnicity.

This preliminary study aims to collect information about elementary school students’ learning styles and preferences that are useful for developing reading literacy books to strengthenthe socio-cultural values in elementary schools in order to be effective for the School Literacy Movement. This is as based on the fact that there are cases of elementary school students committing violence against their own friends. The development model of reading literacy for elementary school students was Plomp’s model with the steps of preliminary research, prototyping, and assessment. The research findings in the preliminary analysis show that students tend to have less motivation to read due to reading materials which are not interesting enough. The needs analysis results show that elementary school students really like folklore. The folklore to be developed comprises traditional Indonesian folklore spreading throughout the country in every province. It is expected that educational practitioners use a book about folklore in the learning process and the School Literacy Movement. The results of the teaching materials validation show that reading literacy learning materials using folklore are valid and can be tried out.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the cultural values in the ritual of Bulangan Londong Sembangan Suke Barata as part of the Toraja indigenous people life. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Meanwhile, the respondents involved in this study include culturist, linguists, and the Toraja community. The research instruments used in this study were document files, interviews with the subjects, and observations using a video recorder that recorded the ritual process of Bulangan Londong Sembangan Suke Barata. The data analysis technique in this study includes three main steps, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the cultural values contained in the rituals of the Bulang Londong Sembangan Suke Barata were 'Manuk' which symbolized the value of the work ethic, 'Ussembang Suke Barata' which represented the religious value of bamboo slashed by 'Mina', and 'Kayunan Londong' which personifies the leader's patriotic value.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki nilai-nilai budaya dari ritual bulangan londong sembangan suke barata dari masyarakat adat Toraja. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Responden penelitian ini adalah budayawan, ahli bahasa, dan komunitas Toraja. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah file dokumen, wawancara dengan subjek, dan pengamatan dengan menggunakan perekam video pada ritual bulangan londong sembangan suke barata. Teknik analisis data mencakup tiga langkah utama, pengurangan data, presentasi data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam ritual bulangan londong sembangan suke barata adalah manuk yang melambangkan nilai etos kerja, ussembang suke barata yang mewakili nilai religius bambu yang ditebas oleh mina, dan kayunan londong sebagai personifikasi nilai patriotik pemimpin.
