Abstract: Da’wah as an activity, is a form of communication because there are messengers (da’i) and recipients (mad’u). Abstract Communication is a process of sharing information through speech, writing, gestures or symbols between two or more people. The focus of the present paper is oral communication and the language under consideration is English. The teacher should adopt a student centered approach. The learners should be encouraged to do things in the class which result in developing their communication skills. The trainer has to focus on both the linguistic and paralinguistic features of the communication process while enhancing learners’ communication skills. These features involve the effective use of words, forming grammatically intelligible sentences and an appropriate use of voice and intonation. The teacher should encourage and train his students to use positive body language while listening and speaking. In order to hone the communication skills of the learners, it is very important to make the learners comfortable with the language they have to communicate in. Shedding their inhibitions is also one of the pivotal areas of concerns. This paper explores different techniques that could be useful while training students in communication skills. Communication is a process of sharing information through speech, writing, gestures or symbols between two or more people. The focus of the present paper is oral communication and the language under consideration is English. The major elements of a communication process are sender, receiver, message and feedback. Effective communication is a two way process. It involves both expressive (speaking) skills and receptive (listening) skills. It entails receiver’s understanding of the message sent by the sender and his feedback to the sender. Listening plays a very important role in the language learning process. It is the most primary of the four basic skills of any language i.e. Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Listening paves way for speaking. One can never be a good speaker if one is not a good listener. An effective communicator is first a good listener and then a good speaker. According to Tickoo ( 2003 ), ‘Good listening skills not only lay the foundations of good speech, but they grow best through effective communication’.

Objective: to analyze the use of elements of effective nurse-patient communication in the light of the Transcultural Interprofessional Practice model. Methods: an integrative literature review was carried out in the CINAHL, LILACS, MEDLINE, SCOPUS, and Web of Science databases, without a time limit. Results: 12 studies were analyzed, most of them published in the English language, in 2017. Two categories were elaborated: effective verbal and non-verbal communication between nurses and patients. The elements of effective verbal communication were presented as speech and language; non-verbal ones presented as signals, distance, eye contact, time, touch, listening, empathy, and patience. Technology-assisted communication was part of both. Less frequently, the verbal communication process was hindered by language and non-verbal communication due to a lack of time availability. Conclusion: effective communication favors the establishment of trust, interaction, and the nurse-patient relationship.

The presented paper highlights the results of a study of the usage of different expressive means and stylistic devices for the description of Brexit as a political phenomenon in English newspaper texts. Our analysis has proved that a political discourse proliferates with the language means, which clearly realize opposition FOR – AGAINST Brexit. It has been proved that stylistic means employed in the media are determined by the conditions of communication. If the desire of the speaker is to rouse the audience and to keep it in suspense, he will use various tropes and figures of speech. Furthermore, stylistic means are closely interwoven and mutually complementary thus building up an intricate pattern. It is stressed that the sign of evaluation in the media may be conditioned by various sociocultural factors, among which are the specifics of the sociocultural space, type of publication, genre specificity of the text, individual features of communicants’ worldview. Accounting for these factors, contributes not only to a deep study of the stylistic phenomena, but also to effective communication and the creation of balanced journalistic texts, which, in its turn, will determine information and psychological comfort in society.

Transformational leadership was once thought of as a trait-based approach to leadership rather than something that could be taught and learned, and that the process itself somehow lacked clarity. This essay sets out to demonstrate both points to be false, all the while identifying the value of educating Christian leaders on the essence and process of transformational leadership. The Momeny communication process theory explains process clarity as it relates to transformational leadership, its communication, and education.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to test possibilities of real participation in FM field in response to the energy sustainable demand by using new technologies for better communication. It is acknowledged that the technological innovation is a necessary condition to make a city sustainable, though the challenge is not primarily on technology but on service transformation and improvement. Improving service quality requires the participatory and synergetic processes that attract an extra attention to the social and management aspects of urban planning. Design/methodology/approach This is an evidence-based research, which shows how FM can extent its impact on the build environment and society by bringing the socio-physiological aspect and the community in the central of the planning and design process. Findings An “urban” facility manager, through integration of multiple disciplines in a human-centre approach, can become the enabler and implementer of sustainable urban ecosystem, i.e. balancing social, economic and environmental pillars. This requires central involvement of FM in the planning and decision-making processes; therefore, its role and impact should be enlarged and better communicated. The enlargement of the FM's role initially requires an effective communication with people, whose behavioural change are prerequisite for the sustainability transition. The communication between FM and people should be interactive and iterative, in which they both define problems/needs and co-create the relevant solutions. Research limitations/implications This paper depicts an evidence-based FM practice, in which the website as an interactive tool is co-designed by the “facility management” students and the citizens to contribute to the real citizen participation in an effective communication process. Originality/value The high value for both, citizens and facility manager, is co-created information platform for upgrading the sustainability level and well-being in the communities. The tool is seen as an important starting contribution for the Paris climate agreement, and as a step toward human-centric-oriented urban sustainable regenerating project.

Abstract In any organizations, between employees, between employees and management are inevitabily appearing conflicts, absenteeism, personnel fluctuation and work accidents (CAFA factors). To diminish the impact of these social dysfunctions, organizations must pay attention to the effective managing and monitoring using performance indicators and an effective communication process and implementing a good plan of evaluation. In this article we propose to analyze these issues, to find solutions for their resolution, to develop an audit plan for their better understanding and assessment. We also describe some performance indicators that if they are used by organizations, they will find quick solutions for their solving and will obtain performance if they understand the causes/effects balance.

With the development of mentoring networks, communication between mentors and mentees and related problems in entrepreneurship have become an increasingly important topic in recent years. The aim of the research is to identify the most important problems that hinder an effective communication process between the mentor and the mentee in entrepreneurship based on expert opinions on the elements of and barriers to the communication process. The research results have revealed that mentors’ willingness to communicate, appropriately engaging in dialogue with their mentees, as well as honour and other skills and traits are essential. The experts have emphasized that it is important that the mentee does not take the mentor’s experience literally but critically assesses whether his/her resources are aligned with the goal. According to the experts, the most essential barriers to communication were a lack of time and logical barriers and obstacles that emerged to partners with different ways of thinking. Researchers need to continue the research started by the authors of the paper by working on and designing a communication model for mentors and mentees, taking into account the communication barriers identified in the present research and other factors relevant to communication in entrepreneurship.
