Krisis ekonomi yang melanda bangsa Indonesia sekarang ini, telah menggugah banyak pihak untuk memikirkan bagaimana mengembangkan usaha menengah kecil sebagai fundamen ekonomi Indonesia mendatang. Bangsa Indonesia yang merupakan kaum mayoritas Islam dituntut untuk berpartisipasi. Kemudian pada tahun 1992 berdirilah Bank Muammalat Indonesia sebagai bukti awal dari kepedulian umat Islam terhadap ekonomi Indonesia. Seiring bergulirnya waktu berdirilah Lembaga Keuangan yang berbasiskan Syari’at, salah satunya yaitu BMT. BMT sebagai Lembaga Ekonomi Syari’ah mempunyai amanah untuk mengembangkan ekonomi Islam, salah satunya dengan cara pengelolaan dan pemanfaatan SDM yang ada, dengan melaksanakan perekrutan sejumlah anggota sebagai staff yang berkualitas dengan tujuan untuk menghasilkan sejumlah anggota yang sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Karena perekrutan anggota yang berkualitas sangat berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan BMT itu sendiri. Dengan demikian ekonomi Islam akan ikut berkembang dan maju. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui rekrutmen, fungsi rekrutmen, dan pola rekrutmen yang dilakukan di BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung, juga untuk mengetahui upaya penghimpunan dan penyaluran dana sekaligus upaya sosialisasi produk di BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung kepada masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yang akan menggambarkan bagaimana rekrutmen, fungsi rekrutmen, pola rekrutmen, dan hasil daripada rekrutmen anggota di BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung. Sedangkan untuk teknik pengumpulan data, penulis melakukan teknik wawancara dengan staff dan pengurus BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung, teknik observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Data yang ditemukan menunjukan bahwa fungsi rekrutmen menurut BMT Sanama yaitu: (1) Untuk memikat para pelamar (2) Untuk menyaring calon pelamar (3) Untuk menambah staff (pegawai) bagi BMT Sanama (4) Untuk memperluas jaringan kerja BMT Sanama (5) Agar bisa menambah jenis produk BMT Sanama (6) Agar lebih mudah mensosialisasikan segala jenis produknya. Sedangkan pola rekrutmen anggota yang dilakukan di BMT Sanama dilakukan dengan pola tertutup, dimana hanya pelamar-pelamar yang memenuhi kualifikasi perusahaan lah yang dapat melamar ke BMT Sanama. Adapun hasil yang dicapai dari pola rekrutmen yang diterapkan di BMT Sanama sangatlah berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan BMT, karena BMT Sanama menggunakan pola rekrutmen tertutup sehingga pelamar kerja yang masuk pun akan sesuai dengan yang diinginkan oleh BMT Sanama. The current economic crisis hitting the Indonesian nation has inspired many parties to think about how to develop small and medium enterprises as the foundation of Indonesia's future economy. The Indonesian nation, which is the majority of Muslims, is required to participate. Then in 1992 Bank Muammalat Indonesia was established as early evidence of the concern of Muslims for the Indonesian economy. As time went on, Syari'at-based financial institutions were established, one of which was BMT. BMT as a Shari'ah Economic Institution has the mandate to develop an Islamic economy, one of which is by managing and utilizing existing human resources, by recruiting a number of members as qualified staff with the aim of producing a number of members who are in accordance with what is expected. Because the recruitment of qualified members is very influential on the development of BMT itself. Thus the Islamic economy will also develop and advance. This study aims to determine recruitment, recruitment functions, and recruitment patterns carried out at BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung, as well as to determine efforts to raise and distribute funds as well as efforts to socialize products at BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung to the public. This study uses a descriptive method that will describe how the recruitment, recruitment function, recruitment patterns, and results of member recruitment at BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung. As for data collection techniques, the authors conducted interview techniques with staff and administrators of BMT Sanama Cileunyi Bandung, observation techniques, and study documentation. The data found shows that the recruitment function according to BMT Sanama is: (1) To attract applicants (2) To screen potential applicants (3) To add staff (employees) to BMT Sanama (4) To expand the work network of BMT Sanama (5) In order to add more types of BMT Sanama products (6) In order to make it easier to socialize all types of products. Meanwhile, the member recruitment pattern at BMT Sanama is carried out with a closed pattern, where only applicants who meet the company's qualifications can apply to BMT Sanama. The results achieved from the recruitment pattern implemented at BMT Sanama greatly influence the development of BMT, because BMT Sanama uses a closed recruitment pattern so that the incoming job applicants will match what BMT Sanama wants.

Islamic finance institutions are often used as an alternative for the community that is not facilitated by banks, both conventional and Islamic. People tend to invest their capital and run financing in shari'ah financial institutions because administrative procedures are easy when compared to investing capital and financing in State or private banks and also because they are more reliable. The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing strategy of financing Ijarah Muntahiyah Bit-Tamlik (IMBT) and the effect of IMBT financing on the empowerment of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). The location of this study was at KSPS BMT UGT Sidogiri Capem Silo Jember. This research is qualitative descriptive method. Data collection was done through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis was carried out by data reduction, data presentation, data collection, and triangulation. The results showed that the marketing strategy of IMBT financing applied by BMT Sidogiri Capem Silo Jember included four variables in the marketing mix, namely product strategy, promotion strategy, pricing strategy, and place strategy. Whereas the effect of IMBT financing on the empowerment of UMKM was that develops productive businesses to increase the income of small entrepreneurs and members, one of which was in the trade and agriculture sectors to facilitate the public in accessing their goods.

Laundry is a process of washing textile materials using water, washing machines, and detergents. Currently Laundry business is one of the sectors of small and medium enterprises which is rapidly developed. Nowadays, lifestyle and level of human mobility needs higher efficiency in washing and ironing clothes clean and tidy it requires expertise. This would not be possible by a busy person in his daily life. To answer this challenge, laundry business becomes the solution. Gajayana Laundry is one of the laundry business which is located at Ahmad Yani street. Currently Gajayana Laundry still apply a system that is still manual in the laundry service process by making a note receipt laundry. Employee in charge of recording information about the laundry received by writing manual or handwriting, in addition to errors due to recording information the number of laundry clothes that resulted in the loss of one of the clothing belonging to the customer, the uniformity of the letter in the laundry archive books that can confused the employees and the difficulties of the spread information to customers such as holiday information, information informing that the customer's laundry has been completed, and information price changes that certainly in the absence of such information may cause a sense of disappointment from the customers. The results of this study can be concluded that the creation of a laundry application using SMS Gateway and apply these applications to help parties Gajayana Laundry in the laundryservice and the dissemination of information. The research method used is descriptive method and data collection technique used in this research are interview, literature study, observation and questionnaire. Making this application using Visual Basic 2010 programming language andMySQL database.

PurposeThe purpose of this study is to better understand the issues on tax compliance. This study aims to examine the influence of patriotism and public governance on the sales tax compliance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and to examine the interaction between patriotism and public governance on sales tax compliance.Design/methodology/approachThis study was carried out by soliciting the opinions of owner-managers of SMEs in Jordan through a survey that was distributed by self-administered. This paper uses partial least squares structural equation modelling to investigate the influence of patriotism, public governance and the interaction of these two mechanisms on sales tax compliance for a sample of 385 SMEs.FindingsThis paper finds that patriotism and the public governance increase and improve the level of sales tax compliance. The findings also supported the interaction effect of patriotism on the relationship between public governance with sales tax compliance. Thus, all the hypothesised relationships were supported.Practical implicationsTax authorities and policymakers in developing majority societies in developing countries and in other Arab countries, especially in Jordan, may use the results to focus their interest on the formulation of policies founded on the outcomes of the study to strengthen the compliance of eligible SMEs to further boost their sales collections.Originality/valueVery few studies have examined the determinants of sales tax compliance, and there has been an absence of work that examines the influence of the patriotism and public governance on sales tax compliance. This paper, therefore, fills a gap in the literature by providing the first empirical evidence about the influence of patriotism and public governance on sales tax compliance of SMEs in developing countries. Purpose This paper aims to investigate the role of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within the Canadian public procurement, by seeking to identify barriers and supporting factors of MSMEs’ participation and success in public tenders. Design/methodology/approach The empirical analysis builds on a unique survey run by the Canadian federal government, which addressed firms either participating or not participating in public tenders. Model estimation on the survey data relies on sample selection methodologies, which allow separating determinants of MSMEs’ decision to participate from determinants of success. Findings Results provide evidence that costs stemming from asset specificity and uncertainty (e.g. costs of bidding, requirements for participation, bundling of contracts and award rules based on minimum price) affect participation in public procurement. Within MSMEs, micro-firms are the most discouraged from participating. However, after controlling for factors affecting participation, micro-firms emerge as having a higher success rate, possibly because of high specialization and joint participation with larger firms. Research limitations/implications Because of the cross-sectional nature of the data used for hypotheses testing, endogeneity may arise if ex post variables affect ex ante decisions. This may apply if participation in procurement feeds on success in past tenders. Social implications Findings may inform policies for the inclusion of smaller firms in the public marketplace. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is the first attempting to disentangle determinants of participation in public tenders from determinants of success. Separating the two aspects helps fine-tune SME-friendly public procurement policies, by identifying actions that effectively facilitate success of MSMEs in public tenders.

The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector is not an easy sector to obtain credit from Bank/ Financial agent, because too many obstacles to a access Bank credit, such as: collateral, administrative aspect, company stability. The purpose of this study is to implement an effective financing model for ceramic craftsmen, in relating with achieving competitive advantage of pottery Plered craftsmen. By using descriptive method, research result shows The effectiveness of funding model for ceramic craftsmen that consist of 4 elemens, such as: local government of Plered, Ceramic craftsmen, Financial agency, and Deposit insurance agency; which is all elemens shoul be made a well-coordinated. The effectiveness of financing aspects in ceramics industry, encouraging the development of ceramics production and also craftsmen productivities. Company productivity will increase too. It means product sustainability of pottery industry will be achieved and competitive advantages of ceramic Plered will be increased.

ABSTRAKPermasalahan yang saat ini dihadapi UMKM adalah seringkali pembiayaan dana komersil dengan cost of capital yang relatif tinggi, persyaratan sangat selektif dan jumlah yang tidak mencukupi serta kadangkala salah sasaran, sehingga program permodalan  tidak dapat memberikan manfaat yang optimal pada pengembangan UMKM.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk merancang model penyaluran dana (financing) dalam optimalisasi pengembangan UMKM, terutama dari sudut pandang pelaku UMKM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada 3 (tiga) tahapan, yang pertama yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan tabulasi, yang kedua yaitu analisis medan kekuatan (Force Field Analysis), serta yang terakhir yaitu The House Model. Hasil penelitian mengindentifikasi permasalahan financing yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM, mengkaji kekuatan pendorong dan kekuatan penghambat pengembangan UMKM, dan mengembangkan rancangan The House Model yaitu model penyaluran dana dalam optimalisasi pengembangan UMKM di Kabupaten Kubu Raya Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Kata Kunci: Model Penyaluran Dana (Financing), Optimalisasi Pengembangan UMKM, The House Model ABSTRACTThe current Micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) problems nowadays are the financing of commercial fund with cost of capital are frequently relatively high, selective requirements and insufficient number of funds, and misdirected fund, so the financing program cannot effectively give optimal benefit to the development of micro small and medium enterprises. Objective - This study aims to examine and analyze micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) coaching program and to obtain an empirical evidence regarding the effect of MSMEs coaching program on the quality of financial statements. Methodology/Technique - This study was conducted using quantitative descriptive method and statistical analysis using a sample of 50 entrepreneurs in several MSMEs coaching program institutions in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Findings - The result shows that all objectives of MSMEs coaching program classified as good with the value of mean above 3.43. Furthermore, the hypothesis proposed in this study shows that MSMEs coaching program has a significant effect on the quality of financial statements. Dinas Koperasi dan Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah Kabupaten Gorontalo sebagai unit pelaksana tugas daerah yang memiliki tugas untuk melakukan pembinaan dan pengembangan usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah di Kabupaten Gorontalo. Dalam melaksanakan tugas tersebut melakukan berbagai kegiatan salah satunya adalah melakukan pendataan usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah serta mensosialisasikan ke masyarakat. Dalam artikel ini, permasalahan yang timbul adalah belum tersedianya sistem informasi yang memadai kepada masyarakat tentang usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah sehingga masyarakat mengalami kesulitan mengetahui lokasi dari usaha kecil dan menengah. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah merancang sistem informasi geografis untuk menentukan lokasi usaha mikro,  kecil dan menengah berbasis android yang dapat diakses oleh masyarakat sehingga dapat memudahkan masyarakat mengetahui lokasi dari usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah yang ada di Kabupaten Gorontalo dan dapat diakses oleh masyarakat yang membutuhkan layanan informsi secara global. Artikel ini menggunakan metode Research and Development atau yang  dikenal dengan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil pengujian dengan menggunakan test case membuktikan bahwa pengembangan sistem  informasi geografis untuk menentukan lokasi usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah berbasis android ini lebih efektif dan efisien dengan pengujian yaitu V (G)=  14 – 12 + 2 =  4; V (G) =  3 + 1 =  4; dan Cyclomatic Complexity (CC) = R1, R2, R3, R4 = 4.                   Kata Kunci: SIG, UMKM, Android                          The Office of Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in Gorontalo as a regional task implementing unit that has the task of developing and developing micro, small and medium businesses in Gorontalo Regency. In carrying out this task, a number of activities are carried out, one of which is collecting data on micro, small and medium enterprises and to socialize to the community. In this article, the challenge that arises is the unavailability of an adequate information system for the community about micro, small and medium enterprises so that people have difficulty understanding the location of small and medium businesses. The purpose of this article is to discuss geographic information systems to determine the location of android-based micro, small and medium businesses that can be accessed by the community so that it can make it easier for the public to find out the location of micro, small and medium businesses in Gorontalo District and can be accessed by people who need it global information services. This article uses the Research and Development method or what is known as the research and development method. The test results using test cases prove the development of information systems to determine the location of micro, small and medium businesses based on Android is more effective and efficient with testing namely V (G) = 14-12 + 2 = 4; V (G) = 3 + 1 = 4; and cyclomatic complexity (CC) = R1, R2, R3, R4 = 4.     Keywords: GIS, UMKM, Android

The study aimed to identify the reality of the small and medium enterprises in Libya and the role of financial risks management in the success of these projects. The study followed the historical descriptive method and the quantitative methodology. The data were collected by means of a questionnaire, distributed to a simple random sample of small and medium enterprises, and analyzed through the SPSS program. The study found that, the lack of liquidity and the risk of repayment of loans come at the forefront of the financial risks affecting small and medium enterprises in the region of Sabha in Libya. The most important recommendations of the study: the need to develop the strategy of small and medium enterprises, after a careful and realistic analysis of its environment. Develop a realistic strategy for projects, taking into account the risks faced by these enterprises.

In this chapter, small and medium enterprises in Turkey have been analyzed in a timely manner to provide insight into their post-COVID-19 performance. The analysis starts with a snapshot of the firm structure and firm size distribution in Turkey. A brief overview of the course of the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey has been provided. The policy responses to the economic effects of the health crisis have been discussed. SMEs' medium-term dynamics have been tabulated using the data of opening and closing firms during the first months of the pandemic. Several surveys conducted with SMEs during the pandemic by public and private organizations have been combined to match the business owners' expectations to policy responses. To assess the public response to the shock and the solutions, the stock market performance of SMEs has been compared with large firms using stock market indices of XKOBI, XPGIP, and XU100.
