Introduction: the article is devoted to institutionalization of the religious component in Russian education; the main stages that determine the specificity of its manifestation are outlined. Objectives: identifying the stages and features of political and legal institutionalization of the religious component in modern Russian education. Methods: analysis of public authorities documents, secondary data analysis. Results: four stages in the institutionalization process have been highlighted: preliminary stage, characterized by a wide public discourse on the necessity and legitimacy of including a religious component in education; the stage of formalization and testing the norms; the stage of final integration of religious component into education; stage of discussing the new Federal State Educational Standard and the secularization of modules. The features of institutionalization process have been revealed. Conclusions: attempts have been made to find a middle ground between the secularity of education and the spiritual and moral education of students by teaching the course on “Fundamentals of Religious Cultures and Secular Ethics”. However, there is reason to believe that formal requirements are not fully met or are tacitly ignored locally, which creates new challenges for legislative regulation and a field for further research.

The expansion of Russian education is now recognized as one of the newest challenges facing the modern system of Russian higher education in the framework of the implementation of the strategies “National Innovation System” and “Priority 2030”. In this regard, the experience of MGIMO, which established its first foreign branch in Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 2018, is interesting. The purpose of this research is to study the effectiveness of the introduction of CLIL elements in ESP training within the framework of spreading the influence of Russian education on the example of MGIMO-Tashkent. We consider the key requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education currently being implemented in domestic universities in the field of training 40.03.01 “Law”, furthermore, since we are dealing with an international education, we rely on the concept of European competencies, initially adopted in 2001 by the European Union (with subsequent amendments). We consider such concepts as: CLIL, ESP, EMI, cultural approach and conducted a brief analysis of their content. The accumulated experience of using CLIL and cultural approaches as the most progressive approaches to the implementation of education within the framework of the expansion of Russian higher education and the subsequent transition to EMI is analyzed. We present the English Language Department experience in the field of teaching ESP at MGIMO on the application of the CLIL approach as part of the expansion of Russian education (2nd semester of 2020/2021 of academic year).

The success of schooleducation depends on how well the child is brought up at home, in the family. Home education is basic and primary. The school always continues and complements the foundations that should be laid at home. It is the parents who should instill in the child an interest in future learning. This largely determines the success of the child’s education in school, that is, how interesting and meaningful the process of “education will be. The development of moral qualities forms students understanding of what is “good” and what is “bad.” The relevance of moral education in school is evidenced by many crisis phenomena of modern life: low level of public morality; loss of family values; decline of patriotic education, etc. Moral education should be given considerable attention not only in educational work, but also in all spheres of life of primary school students. The moral qualities of juniorschoolchildren should be developed by means of each academic subject included in the curriculum. In this article, the author describes his vision of the development of moral qualities of students in the study of mathematics in elementary school.

The article aims to identify and describe the conditions as well as means of teaching that form the zone of proximal development when mastering elementary mathematical concepts (EMC) at an older preschool age (first of all, ideas about quantities: length, area, mass, volume, etc.). Also, the work analyzes the representation of these conditions and means of teaching in modern Russian preschool education programs developed on the basis of the Federal State Educational Standard for Preschool Education. The selection of programs was carried out on the basis of the PRISMA procedure, as a result of which 8 programs were selected out of 43 for analysis according to the selected criteria. Three types of the most common teaching tools were identified in situations when introducing new EMC: samples (visual or verbal instructions, rules), models (schematic representation of essential relations between objects) and symbols (symbolic representation of essential relations between objects). For the main learning conditions, the content and characteristics of those actions in which EMC data are assimilated were analyzed. It was shown that when organizing the formation of ideas about values in older preschoolers, it is psychologically more appropriate to select conditions that require the implementation of actions of selection by magnitude, indirect comparison, as well as measurement using conditional measures that is necessary in situations of representation of modeling or symbolization tools. The obtained results of the analysis of modern Russian preschool education programs indicate that most often they use only one tool — a visual sample or instruction, and the formation of ideas about the values is carried out solely on the basis of the action of direct comparison. The conducted research will make it possible to provide psychologically sound recommendations to teachers, educators and the administration of preschool educational institutions on the choice and implementation of EMC training programs.

The need for basic training in toxicology of students of pharmaceutical universities and departments of toxicology is justified. The experience of teaching toxicology and medical protection to students of the St. Petersburg State Chemical Pharmaceutical Academy was analyzed. Academic teaching staff were trained in the methodology of teaching toxicology, and a participated in the preparation of the all-Russian textbook «Toxicology and Medical Protection» (2016) and three tutorials for students of medical and pharmaceutical universities. It is shown that in accordance with the current Federal State Educational Standard of the third generation, toxicology issues are included in the curriculum of a complex discipline «Life Safety. Emergency Medicine» as a stand-alone module. Students study toxicology in the fifth year having received a good basic training in medical, biological, and professional disciplines in previous years. For realization of cognitive and creative activity of students in the educational process, modern educational technologies are used which make it possible to improve the quality of teaching and to use school time more efficiently. The potential of using algorithmic workbooks, interactive forms of training, test control, case-method for facilitating the perception of theoretical knowledge and improving the quality of practical skills development is demonstrated.
