The article analyzes the conflicting communication strategies of the participants of the election debates in Spain in 2019. The peculiarities of communicative interaction of Spanish politicians in the conditions of political agitation on the eve of the parliamentary elections are considered the main strategies of their interaction are singled out. The purpose of the analysis was to identify and characterize the main communication strategies used by Spanish politicians during the 2019 election campaign during a televised debate. The material of the study was a card index of text fragments of speeches by Spanish politicians A. Lastro, C. Alvarez, I. Monteros, G. Rufian, A. Esteban, and others. A total of 350 micro texts were analyzed, which allowed us to identify communicative conflict as the main type of interaction in the pre-election discourse. The article defines that communicative strategy in political discourse is a general direction of interaction of politicians, which directs language means in order to realize the intention – to influence the addressee. In the pre-election discourse of political debates, the main strategies are focusedon conflict interaction, within which strategies of discrediting and manipulation aresingled out. The strategy of discrediting involves reducing the communicative status of the opponent and is represented by tactics of accusation and insults. The main linguistic means of implementing the strategy of discrediting are stylistically reduced vocabulary and grammatical forms of dialogic nature. The strategy of manipulation is implemented through the tactics of interpretation, declaration and intimidation. At the linguistic level, manipulation involves the use of abstract vocabulary, precedent phenomena and expressive and evaluative means.

The research focuses on the problem of humor in Ukrainian political discourse, which is interpreted as a manifestation of human activity. The peculiarities of the combination of political and game discourses in Ukrainian political communication were clarified, which resulted in the active use of humorous components in the speeches of politicians. Linguistic means of expression of humor in posts on social networks and speeches of Ukrainian politicians are analyzed. The purpose of our study is to investigate linguistic means of humor representation as the main manifestation of comic relief in Ukrainian political discourse. The purpose was to solve the following tasks: to outline the concept of political discourse in terms of the game concept of communicative activity; to analyze political genres in the speech of Ukrainian politicians; identify the linguistic features of political trolling; to find out the specifics of humor in the Ukrainian political discourse. The material of the research was the statements, speeches and posts in the social networks of famous Ukrainian politicians (L. Kravchuk, P. Poroshenko, V. Zelensky, Yu. Tymoshenko, U. Suprun etc.). Political humor is a communicative strategy in communicating politicians with one another and with ordinary citizens, and is a form of protection and distance from political problems. The appearance of a comic effect in communicative interaction depends on the intensity of the speaker and the extralinguistic factors. The main expressions of political humor are jokes, jokes and trolling. Trolling is featured in social media posts and aimed at ridiculing political opponents. The specificity of the Ukrainian political humor in the linguopragmatic aspect is provocative, irony and personal addressing of speech.

The article is devoted to the understanding of information in political discourse. The main types of the text security and their inter-relationship with the degree of the addressee intention are considered. The article reveals the analysis of the intentional component and the degree of its influence on the communication strategy between the addresser and the addressee on the basis of texts drawn from press-conferences and interviews. The key communication strategies that influence the nature of text security are identified.

The study contains an outline of the results of linguo-pragmatic analysis of the speech behavior of politicians who are participants of parliamentary discourse. The concept of parliamentary discourse is defined as one of the varieties of political discourse within the framework of institutional communication. The genre heterogeneity of political discourse is substantiated and the genre of debates, including pre-election and parliamentary debates, is defined. It is revealed that parliamentary debates mostly represent  the linguo-pragmatic specificities of parliamentary discourse. The materials for the analysis consisted of transcripts of meetings of the Parliament of Ukraine in 2004-2019. The main criterion of the typology was the peculiarities of the observed communicative interactions - co-operative and conflict ones. Regulatory, informational and consolidation communication strategies are identified within the framework of cooperative communication, within the framework of conflict interaction - declarative, confrontational and argumentative-critical ones.

Thanks to different mass media sources, members of any society are well aware of political developments and events and politicians. Every person has his or her own formed political beliefs and affirmations, interpreters other people's actions during political developments and evaluates events that take place. Political forces, in turn, see a person (a potential elector) as an object of external information influence. This lets them use political communication when competing for the power. In the modern democratic society this competition is carried out via parliamentarian debates, politicians' speeches, examining political parties' programs, political agitation and voting. General audience-oriented political discourse implements its function of political information influence. As the goal of any political party's program (as an independent form of text in the system of political discourse) is to win the elections and come to power, thus the audience influence function is one of the most fundamental and serve as the basis for the text. The text of a program itself is characterized by its persuasive orientation towards the audience, which reveal itself in such methods as convincing, argumentation, manipulation and evaluation. All the political programs pertain to parties which are at the power or which are in opposition. The main characteristic of oppositional programs is the criticism of the power, vice versa, the dominant party's programs confirm the correctness of their policy. All the political programs are multi-authored. The written form of any political program lets put into practice a detailed text analysis. This article presents the analysis of the texts of two leading Spanish political parties (the Spanish socialist worker's party and the people's party of Spain).

Comparative studies are rare in the study of online communication campaigning. The authors chose two cases, Poland and France, to describe the two campaigns for the Parliamentary elections. Content analysis allowed the authors to detect online communication strategies and parties' attempt to reach different audiences. Web-cartography illustrates the parties' network connections. The authors find strong cross-country and resource-based differences for the more interactive and engaging features (Web 2.0), which are not that powerful for explaining audience-targeting strategies. Overall a sales strategy and a focus on marketing dominated over e-representation (exhibiting the parties' political record). In both countries social media platforms are well incorporated into online strategies. Facebook dominates in Poland, Twitter in France. Web cartography gives a counterintuitive picture of the Polish parties' network being much more personalized but also of more ghettoing within the supporting environment.

The article is devoted to the problem of communicative interaction in the “doctor — patient” dyad. The relevance of the study is due to the need to return the humanistic principle to medical practice and to increase the efficiency of communication between medical personnel and patients, both in their native language and in a foreign language. The aim of the study is to identify the means of verbalization of the informing communicative strategy, which the doctor uses during a consultation of cancer patients. The empirical material was authentic consultative conversations in German, recorded in the GAT-2 transcription system. It has been proven that in the material under study, the informative communicative strategy is dominant. Six main tactics of the informing strategy have been identified: the tactics of explanation, the tactics of planning, the tactics of recommending therapy, the tactics of updating the medical history, the tactics of communicating the diagnosis, and the tactics of checking the contact. Special attention is paid to the distinctive features of the structure of the dialogues under consideration and their influence on the sequence of reproduction of the selected tactics. Frequent language means of implementing tactics, as well as the explicit and implicit goals of their use, are systematized. It is concluded that the use of communicative tactics corresponds to the specifics of the patient-centered approach.

The article examines the manifestation of the communicative strategy of protection, which is used as a reaction of the addressee in the case of the interlocutor's choice of conflicting strategies of speech interaction in political talk-shows. An overview of approaches to defining and distinguishing communication strategies is presented and a detailed analysis of defense strategy in interactive political discourse is presented. It is argued that the defensive strategy is related to the communicative behavior of the addressee of a political conflict, who has a weaker position, less convincing to theaudience, but defends his beliefs by opposing the position of the speaker. Under such conditions, the addressee reacts to the aggressive speech behavior of the speaker, but does not agree with him, does not seek to understand, but on the contrary - inflates the conflict and acts as a political opponent. The defense strategy was found to be represented by communicative tactics of justification, evasion of response and counteractionto provocation.

This article is devoted to one of the most urgent problems– the relationship of the concepts of "gender", "newspaper discourse", "communicative strategy", "media presentation". The focus is on the ways to introduce the concept of "gender" in a modern newspaper text, the consideration of high-frequency strategies and tactics that the authors of the text turn to when including this word. The author convincingly proves that a detailed analysis of the ways of entering the word "gender" helps to better understand the semantics of this concept, to analyze the methods of representation in the space of modern newspaper discourse.

The participants of political discourse use various communicative strategies in order to influence opponents. The article reviews various definitions of communicative strategy term. The author gives her own definition of communicative strategy term and describes the main political discourse strategies. The purpose of the article is to review defamation strategy implementation and to identify its role in political discourse of Germany based on Bundestag's political wrangling. The author describes the main tactics and conversational turns of defamation strategy and its development in German politicians' speech image. Defamation strategy is one of the leading strategies in any aggressive verbal behavior discourse. The research describes main communicant's intentions by using of defamation strategy. The addresser uses this kind of strategy to offend the opponent's positive image aiming to undermine opponent's credibility and to reduce his significance at the political stage. There are following tactics of defamation strategy: offence, accusation, jeer. The article reviews the functioning of named tactics in political discourse of Germany. The article describes special aspects of above listed tactics, distinguishes terms of offence and accusation, gives examples from Bundestag's political speeches. Every tactic has its conversational turns, that are realized by various linguistic means. The article analyses political comments as an evaluative lexis subject. It also suggests analysis of such turns as intensification, comment's metaphoricity, comparative constractions, that promote better perlocutionary effect.

Wedges and frames, two much-studied strategies of American political combat, are generally thought to be partisan weapons, meant to manipulate voters into making trade-offs that favor the political actor wielding them. My inquiry here explores whether there exists anything comparably schematic to wedges and frames at work in attempts by American politicians not to polarize but to find consensus, not to cater to extremes but moderate them. Despite the seeming paucity of such efforts in American public discourse, there is one such common and as-yet untheorized scheme, which uses the two issue positions involved in wedges to overcome the ill effects of reframing and the two value dimensions involved in reframing to overcome the ill effects of wedges. I elaborate this discursive structure by examining its presence in a number of American political debates, showing how it differs from other contemporary normative-theoretic frameworks for understanding compromise in American politics.
