The article deals with the peculiarities of relations with teachers among students with preserved health and students with disabilities. It is assumed that students with disabilities and students with preserved health have specific features in their relationships with teachers. Sample: 167 students, 98 of them – with good health and 67-with disabilities (hearing, vision, etc.). The study was conducted on the basis of the RSSAI with students of all faculties (theater, music, fine arts). Methodology: the author's questionnaire on the study of various aspects of the attitude to education (professional plans, socio-psychological well-being, motivation of training, attitude to the content of education, socio-psychological relations within the university with teachers and other students, value orientations in the field of art culture, etc.). It is shown that when there are conflicts with teachers, students with preserved health do not transfer them to the attitude to the academic subject, while students with disabilities conflict with the teacher provokes a negative attitude to the course. It was revealed that among students with disabilities, almost one in ten believes that problems in understanding the educational material are due to the peculiarities of their health, with age the share of such responses increases. It was found that among students with disabilities a higher proportion of those who seek informal communication with teachers, which confirms the importance of higher education as an institution of socialization and a source of experience of social interaction.

The article considers three components that characterize socio-psychological features of the students' life position: emotional assessment of the success of their life prospects, specifics of life plans and nature of value orientations. Taken together, these components allow to determine the social well-being of students, depending on their health state and the type of professional education they receive. The article is based on the results of the questionnaire survey conducted among RGSAI students. The study involved 167 participants, of whom 98 were those with preserved health and 69 — with disabilities. The survey was conducted in all courses (first to sixth) and faculties (theater, music, fine arts). The materials obtained are analyzed in relation to the influence of gender and age factors. Special attention is paid to the comparison of the life attitudes of students with preserved health and students with disabilities studying at different faculties. Significant differences were found between students with preserved health and students with disabilities in their assessment of the success of their life prospects, the certainty of plans for their future and value preferences. Using factor analysis, the structural correlations between various components of the life attitude were identified, and its content features depending on the health status of the respondents and the nature of the profession obtained were characterized.

The article presents the study results of the characteristics of the attitude of students with disabilities and students with preserved health to higher education in the field of culture. Motivation for higher education and requirements to its content, as well as results of the structural analysis of the aims and motives for higher education are considered. Answers of students with preserved health and students with various types of disabilities are compared, also age dynamics and answers of students of different faculties (theater, music, fine arts) are analyzed. The study involved 167 RGSAI students, 98 of them — with preserved health and 67 — with disabilities. Questionnaire survey method was used; the results were processed by mathematical statistics methods. It is shown, that with age students undergo a restructuring of educational motivation from social desirability to personification, the desire to develop their own abilities. It is revealed, that for students with disabilities the meaning of studying at a university to a much greater extent, in comparison with students with preserved health, is to develop their abilities and opportunities for socialization. For healthy students the priority is to become a specialist in a particular field in order to subsequently have a high-paid job. For students with disabilities university education is an important institution of socialization and a platform for their social activity. Structural analysis identified the basic semantic modalities that determine the differences in students' motives and goals for obtaining higher education.

This chapter provides a systematic analysis of thirteen in-depth interviews of disabled students from both universities in Northern Ireland. Undertaken as part of the Uni4U initiative hosted within the University of Ulster, the findings presented describe barriers experienced by students with disabilities to participation in higher education across both universities. The students provided comments concerning their current support provisions, barriers they have experienced, and suggestions for improvements to the service. Examination of the findings leads to three recommendations: firstly, that a network of communication should exist that encourages dialogue between all parties with an interest in the well-being of the student, with the student at the heart of these discussions and involved in all decisions; secondly, that attention must be paid to staff development especially with regard to Mental Health Issues; and finally, that in the long term the aim of institutions should be to move away from individual “reasonable adjustments” to inclusive education for all.

Purpose The purpose of this review article is to examine the well-being of faculty in higher education. Success in academia depends on productivity in research, teaching, and service to the university, and the workload model that excludes attention to the welfare of faculty members themselves contributes to stress and burnout. Importantly, student success and well-being is influenced largely by their faculty members, whose ability to inspire and lead depends on their own well-being. This review article underscores the importance of attending to the well-being of the people behind the productivity in higher education. Method This study is a narrative review of the literature about faculty well-being in higher education. The history of well-being in the workplace and academia, concepts of stress and well-being in higher education faculty, and evidence-based strategies to promote and cultivate faculty well-being were explored in the literature using electronic sources. Conclusions Faculty feel overburdened and pressured to work constantly to meet the demands of academia, and they strive for work–life balance. Faculty report stress and burnout related to excessively high expectations, financial pressures to obtain research funding, limited time to manage their workload, and a belief that individual progress is never sufficient. Faculty well-being is important for the individual and in support of scholarship and student outcomes. This article concludes with strategies to improve faculty well-being that incorporate an intentional focus on faculty members themselves, prioritize a community of well-being, and implement continuous high-quality professional learning.

In 2017, the Faculty of Theology celebrates its centenary at the University of Pretoria. Celebrating a centennial is as much as looking back as looking forward. In a changing world with changing paradigms how does one remain relevant? Different challenges and expectations presented to tertiary institutions of education in a new dispensation puts all concerned with higher education in South Africa under pressure. The question addressed in this article is how will a Faculty of Theology (in this case at the University of Pretoria) remain relevant to such an extent that it is continued to be viewed as desirable to have such a faculty present at a university, participating in the academic process and simultaneously continues to contribute to the well-being of the South African society. The author suggests the following guidelines for consideration. In order to remain relevant for the next couple of hundred years the Faculty of Theology should engage contextually with society, practise interdisciplinary Theology, engage in interreligious dialogue while still remaining connected to faith communities. A paradigm of post-foundationalism enables Theology to exercise Theology in a relevant and meaningful manner.

In most African states, joining higher education institutions (HEIs) is, for students, an investment in their own economic progress. Yet, HEIs are sites where sexual harassment and gender-based violence (GBV) occur, increasing the vulnerability of newly enrolled female students and of women in general. A strong gender policy environment, a clear stand by senior management at HEIs, and the empowerment ofmen with respect to gender equity issues are remedies to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), goal 4 (Quality Education), goal 5 (Gender Equality), and goal 10 (Reduced Inequality).

The relevance of the problems of cooperative construction in the formation of Belarusian scientific schools is determined. The role of the Belarusian State University in the development of problems of cooperation in the 1920s is characterised. The activity of S. L. Pevsner as a representative of the economic thought of the 1920s is studied. In the perspective of «history through personality», the problems of the formation of the personnel potential of Belarusian State University are revealed. The relations between the management and the teaching staff of the university, the status and issues of material well-being of teachers invited to Belarusian State University are characterised. The conclusion is made about a significant personnel shortage and the presence of serious competition in the personnel sphere of university science in the 1920s with the development of higher education in the USSR.

The Ministry is keen on the funds of the Iraqi people and contributes to the development of the industrial and commercial sectors with the help of professors and university students. 3 - the need to match the needs of the market and education outputs to reduce unemployment, in addition to the vocational education has become an urgent need at this stage to keep pace with the needs of life in society away from the negative view of this education. 4 - Increasing the number of technical workshops and providing them with the means of material in order to provide the university student maximum desired learning. Enhancing the role of higher education in building a broader partnership and cooperation with various other community institutions (public, private and private sector). 6 - Re-admission plan in universities by making the number of admissions in scientific colleges more than the number of admissions in the humanitarian colleges. 7 - Attracting foreign investment companies to invest natural resources in Iraq such as phosphate, natural gas, oil, oil shale, uranium, silica and geothermal energy for the recovery of the economy and the trend towards domestic consumption.

This article considers methodological approaches that can be rationally applied in the study of the problem of psychological and pedagogical adaptation of students-repatriates in the holistic pedagogical process of the University. Scientific researches of the problem of adaptation, including its theoretical bases are studied and analyzed. Kazakh, Russian and foreign scientists’ works were the theoretical and methodological basis for the provision of scientific analysis. Definitions of concepts repatriation, adaptation are given, types of adaptation are described in this article. An important stage of introducing a person to the values of higher education is admission to a higher educational institution, the development of fundamental scientific knowledge, professional basic concepts. In this regard, the problem of adaptation of repatriated students to the conditions of study at the University is of particular importance. The success of adaptation of repatriated students to study at the University is largely due to value orientations as a factor that ensures the effective organization of the educational process. The carried-out characteristic of the used approaches, principles and methods has shown their substantial aspect rather full analysis. And mastering the whole system of approaches, determines the ability to prepare an appropriate research methodology.

Higher education is one of the conditions of independent life for disabled people, a condition of their social and labor rehabilitation. Health problems are not the only serious obstacles to vocational education. No less important are the barriers in the educational environment of the University and barriers in relationships with others. It is noted that most of the difficulties in the learning process of students with disabilities are associated with their psychological characteristics - the presence of negative experiences and attitudes, the level of self-esteem, the features of life orientations. Depending on the severity of psychological characteristics, different variants of the relationship of students with disabilities with other students are possible: from full integration to disintegration and opposition behavior. It was suggested that the nature of the relationship and especially value-semantic readiness for vocational education in higher inclusive education can largely determine the prospects of personal and professional development of students with disabilities. An empirical study of peculiarities of value orientations of students with disabilities (N = 50) and students without disabilities (N = 50) was conducted using the technique of G. N. Kuznetsova on the General self-identity, self-esteem scale of Rosenberg and test of life-meaningful orientations D. A. Leontiev.
