This present study discovers cybersecurity awareness in online distance learning (ODL) during the pandemic crisis. ODL is an excellent way of teaching and learning during this catastrophe. The Government has imposed the National E-learning Policy to support ODL procedures. Unfortunately, the policies have not been carefully planned on security elements. Therefore, by utilizing Information Security Awareness Capability Model and Situation Awareness-Oriented Cyber Security Education Model, we able to: (1) design the security elements for National e-Learning Policy (2) develop a conceptual model of security behavior that benefits ODL procedure. Principally, four factors are demanding attention in the domain of cybersecurity features. On the other hand, there are partially supported hypotheses between the dimensions of cybersecurity and behaviour. Nutshell, we believe our paper is extending the body of knowledge in cybersecurity elements, awareness, and behaviour literature. Future direction, limitation, and conclusion have been thoroughly discussed.

Research into the design, delivery, support, and administration of Online Distance Learning (ODL) programmes in higher education is developing but still nascent with theories and discourses from many areas of traditional education being examined and developed to address the particular affordances of online education. Whilst debate continues about the procurement of and best application of educational technologies and systems, one aspect of the debate seems clear, that the technology and content alone is not “e-learning.” Directing someone to an online repository does not mean learning will necessarily take place. Whilst the technology and the content are essential, both are important only insofar as the affordances they provide for learning to take place. Using empirical evidence, this chapter argues that the actions of the tutor are therefore pivotal in an educational environment where the learning process is directed at more than simply accessing information.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the movement towards visualization in e-learning. The study methods include a survey and a theoretical modeling method. The study focuses on analyzing data from the 2020 public opinion survey “School graduates and students expressed their opinion on distance education” by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) and develops a four-tier framework model for e-learning content visualization that integrates four theories of learning, namely behaviorism, cognitivism, constructivism, and activism. The results indicate that visualization in e-learning as a trend is strongly associated with global information and communication technologies (ICTs) development. The survey by VCIOM found that 38% of surveyed students in Russia viewed their educational institutions as averagely equipped for online distance learning, 22% - well-equipped, 26% - rather well-equipped, 12% - rather poorly equipped, and 7% - poorly equipped. This study offers content visualization framework that will make it possible to organize the teaching and learning process.

The Hungarian government prescribed distance learning for higher education institutions due to the spread of the coronavirus epidemic which was challenging at the Hungarian Dance Academy. The development of movement skills was difficult without personal presence, no common e-learning practice had existed in the institution before the pandemic. In the research we explored the distance learning and teaching practices developed at the theoretical and dance courses at the Hungarian Dance Academy, as well as the experiences of both teachers and students during the 3 and a half months. Instructors (n=65) and students (n=240) completed an online questionnaire on digital tool use and course management, furthermore 13 of the responding instructors also shared their experiences in a structured interview. Most of the instructors welcomed everything they could benefit from distance learning (e.g. creating new curricula, learning about new digital tools, improving relationships with students), but understandably, online distance learning of dance was considered impossible by many. Some students enjoyed distance learning because of their own schedule and the convenience of their home, but there were many critical remarks about its methods.

The results presented are part of a doctoral thesis which is being finalized. The research is centred on the online distance learning student experience in higher education, considering the variable time management, its relationship with technologies, and the virtualization of teaching and learning. Exploratory in nature, the research takes the form of a case study using a mixed methodology. One of the main objectives of the study is to contribute to the construction of a theoretical framework on the distance learning student time variable. We present a profile of academic time use by e-students (monochronic or polychronic) and suggest an intermediate profile. The conclusions point out that the profile of academic time use varies according to the degree of the course attended. It was found that undergraduate students show a more polychronic profile than masters and doctoral students.
