Personal characteristics in combination of vegetative homeostasis were studied, and also type of morphoconstitution in association with one of genetic marker - velocity of Na+/ Li+ countertransport in erythrocyte membranes of 192 healthy people, aged from 17 to 42 y.o. Trends to increase the anxiety level in patients of both sex in all age groupes were determined at the velocity range of Na + /Li+ countertransport in erythrocytes: from 162 to 278 mс Mol Li/1 c h, which were most expressed in asthenic morphoconstitution people with sympathicotonic type of vegetative effects, this being combined with disadaptive forms of vegetative reactions.

The problem of the pathogenesis of diabetic foot being a complication of diabetes mellitus has been very topical up to now. The supply of oxygen to tissues is one of the key issues of the pathogenesis of diabetic foot. The aim of the work was to study the physical and chemical properties of erythrocyte membranes and activity of oxygen transfer in patients with diabetic foot. It has been found that the activity of oxygen release from erythrocytes is the most significant among the studied parameters in detection of patients with diabetic foot and healthy people. Patients with diabetic foot are divided into two groups in terms of physical and chemical properties of erythrocyte membranes and the activity of oxygen release. The first group of patients with diabetic foot is different from healthy people by the activity of oxygen release and micropolarity, microviscosity of annular lipid pool. The second group of patients with diabetic foot differs from healthy people by micropolarity of annular lipid pool (with 2 concentrations of pyrene), microviscosity of total lipid pool and the activity of oxygen release.

Types of vegetative responding were studied with evaluation of initial vegetative reactions and vegetative activity in healthy people, aged from 7-42, in association with one of the markers of genetically determined structural and functional status of cell membranes - velocity of Na+/Li+ countransport in erythrocyte membranes. It was found that level of intensity of vegetative effects with transition of adaptation reactions to orthostasis is most characterestic of high values of transmembrane monotransport velocity.

Background: Modern studies in the field of psychosomatic causes of diseases are directed towards the psychophysiological approach in the consideration of neurological, somatic and borderline mental disorders. These works affect interdisciplinary clinical and experimental studies of personal characteristics, emotional states, psychophysiological and neurochemical parameters in stress situations, as well as in somatic and mental diseases. In this framework, a comparative study of the psychosomatic correlations of patients of the surgical profile of the gynecology and neurosurgery departments of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution Stavropol Regional Clinical Hospital was conducted for the first time. Objective: Research of the anxiety level of patients in the surgical profile of the gynecology and neurosurgery departments. Approbation of the author's Bird projective methodology (Abakarova E.G., 2014), which allows determining the relationship between psychological conflict and the place of its bodily response. Methods: Spielberger-Khanin's anxiety level self-esteem scale, “Health, Activity, Mood” questionnaire, Ya. Strelau's temperament test questionnaire, Bird projective test (E.G. Abakarova). The data obtained were subjected to mathematical processing of the reliability of the results using Student's t-test. Findings: The findings of a pilot study of psychosomatic correlations of patients of the surgical profile of the gynecology and neurosurgery departments allowed the authors to obtain sound and reliable conclusions and assessments in interpreting the levels of mental and dynamic processes. Studies on the Spielberger-Khanin's anxiety level scale of revealed high indicators of situational and personal anxiety in both groups. The reaction of each individual person to a stressful situation (surgical intervention) arises from its individual and typological features and is not specific. The state of anxiety is characterized by subjective experiences and emotions: tension, anxiety, concern, nervousness. This condition occurs as an emotional reaction to a stressful situation and may be different in intensity and dynamism in terms of time. Analysis and interpretation of psychosomatic and ornithomorphic correlations among patients of gynecology and neurosurgery departments depends on the class of the disease (according to ICD-10), the characteristics of the course of the disease, the method of its formation (psychological trauma, physical trauma or other nosology) and formation, as well as individual typological personality characteristics. Conclusions: It was established that the level of personal and situational anxiety in patients with surgical profiles in both groups was significantly higher than in healthy individuals (r <0.05).

Purpose – This paper aims to focus on two main and related issues: evaluating whether the required entrepreneurial capabilities are present according to Gladwell’s law of the few in the Western Negev region of Israel and identifying the economic development model that can generate a viral development. Design/methodology/approach – In this paper, McClelland’s classification was used to evaluate the level of motivation in the region and Gladwell’s law of the few classification was used to understand the potentially positive effect of each entrepreneur on the others and on economic development in general. To evaluate the personal and business capabilities of each entrepreneur, two groups of parameters, one describing the personal profile and the other describing the business behavior of the entrepreneurs, were used. Findings – Most entrepreneurs are ready to cooperate with the open incubator and to contribute to generating common business interest, but mavens and connectors have few of the required personal characteristics and business attitudes. Only the salesmen have the required personal profile, but they lack the necessary business attitude. Highly motivated entrepreneurs, at need-for-power level, have both the required personal profile and business attitude. They are the ones who could generate growth, and a portion of them have the characteristics to become mavens, connectors and salesmen. Practical implications – The willingness to cooperate with a neutral organization and generate common economic interest is present in the Western Negev, but the following actions are required to achieve viral development: persuade and support entrepreneurs at the highest level of motivation to be a part of the few, i.e. mavens, connectors and salesmen; improve the business attitude of mavens, connectors and salesmen; and plan the work program of the open incubator in cooperation with entrepreneurs at the need-for-power level: mavens, connectors and salesmen. Originality/value – Viral economic development can occur if the few mavens, connectors and salesmen in a given sector or region have the required positive personal profile and business attitude, and if most of the entrepreneurs are ready to cooperate with a neutral organization, the open incubator and join efforts with others to generate new common business interests.

Currently, many areas of human activity are associated with neuropsychic stress. Psychohygiene is topical for healthcare. Due to informational overload and the modern accelerated pace of life, people may experience borderline forms of neuro-mental pathology. Under the influence of psychotraumatic factors, some personality traits may turn into pathological forms. That is why diagnosing of accentuated personality traits is important, given that preservation of mental balance is an important component of normal life. The article describes the relationships between the anxiety level and the personal characteristics of students. The following methods were used: a questionnaire by Leongard and Smishek «Technique for studying a personality accentuation» and a questionnaire for measuring the anxiety level by Taylor (adaptation by T.A. Nemchinova). The study involved 239 respondents. The prevalence of accentuated character traits in the study group was 41,9% (101/239) for exalted, 25,9% (60/239) for emotive, and 25,0% (59/239) for cyclotymic.

The paper presents data from the examination of 54 patients with combined mental pa-thology. The main group (MG) included 27 patients with comorbid recurrent affective and panic disorders. Patients (27 people) in the control group (CG) were diagnosed with inde-pendent affective disorder. The clinical and psychological parameters of the patients’ personal sphere in the main and control groups were studied and analyzed. The trait profile of patients with MG is represented by disharmonious manifestations and significant peak rise in the scales: “hypochondria”, “depression” and “psychasthenia”. According to the analysis conducted, the following personality characteristics were marked in patients with a combined variant of recurrent affective and panic disorders: inert thinking style, insecurity, high sensitivity, impressionability, dependence on the surroundig people’s opinion, suspiciousness, caution, discretion, high moral exactingness towards oneself and others, conscientiousness, comfort and diligence, unsociability, secrecy and isolation. Besides, the relationship between personal characteristics and choice of protective and coping behavior in patients MG and CG was determined as part of the study. To reduce the discomfort caused by a stressful situation, the patients with MG used the following coping mechanisms: “escape-avoidance” and “acceptance of commitment”. In order to resolve inner experiences patients with a combined variant of recurrent affective and panic disorders use destructive mechanisms of personality psychological defense by the type “denial”, “suppression”, “regression” and “compensation”. As part of the study conducted, the main psychocorrective targets were identified, includ-ing the components of defensive-coping patients’ behavior that showed manifestations of recurrent affective and panic disorders. The results obtained can be taken into account when developing a psychotherapeutic program aimed at harmonizing the personal profile of pa-tients. In the course of psychotherapeutic correction, it is advisable to use methods of the cognitive-behavioral direction, relaxation techniques and breathing exercises. The obtained results can be taken into account when developing a psychotherapeutic pro-gram aimed at harmonization of the patients’ personal profile. In the course of psychothera-peutic correction, the use of cognitive-behavioral methods, relaxation techniques and breathing exercises is advisable.

We have investigated the effect of integral membrane proteins upon the fracturing of frozen lipid bilayers. This investigation has been part of an effort to develop freeze fracture labeling techniques and to assess the possible breakage of covalent protein bonds during the freeze fracture process. We have developed an experimental protocol utilizing lectin affinity columns which should detect small amounts of covalent bond breakage during the fracture of liposomes containing purified (1) glycophorin (a transmembrane glycoprotein of human erythrocyte membranes). To fracture liposomes in bulk, frozen liposomes are ground repeatedly under liquid nitrogen. Failure to detect any significant covalent bond breakage (contrary to (2)) led us to question the effectiveness of our grinding procedure in fracturing and splitting lipid bilayers.

Dyslipidemia and increases in plasma homocysteine usually occur at end-stage renal disease; both are recognized as risk factors for atherosclerosis. Folate administration reduces homocysteine concentration. In this study we determined the effect of a high dose of folic acid (40 mg intravenous injection three times a week) on plasma and red blood cell lipid profiles in twelve chronic renal failure patients on regular hemodialysis. Fasting blood samples were taken at the beginning of the study (baseline) and after 21, 42, and 64 days of treatment. Folic acid supplementation decreased plasma homocysteine. Plasma triglyceride levels decreased whereas polyunsaturated fatty acid values increased after 21 days; then they returned to baseline levels at the end of treatment. Total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol were higher than those of the baseline during all the study, whereas high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol was reduced. In erythrocyte membranes, folic acid therapy enhanced cholesterol/phospholipid ratios and the fluorescence anisotropy of diphenyl-hexatriene. We conclude that large doses of folic acid produce a favorable effect, reducing plasma homocysteine levels and protecting patients from atherosclerosis. However, as this therapy induces significant alterations in both plasma and erythrocyte membrane lipid profiles, plasma lipid values should be controlled throughout the treatment of patients with renal failure.
