This study examines the institutional strengthening Sokop village in the district of MerantiIslands. The village of institutional issues Sokop be a reflection of the condition of the villagesare located in coastal areas and outer islands in Indonesia. Limitations accessibility of informa-tion, transport and communication are key issues faced by the region (read-Village Sokop) sothat the development of institutional capacity and its derivatives is not as advanced and as fastas the accessibility of the region are within easy reach. By putting itself on the theoretical frame-work of institutional strengthening these studies focus to see phenomena institutional VillageSokop especially from the aspect of good governance and administrative capacity Sokop Vil-lage Government officials. This study used a qualitative approach and to optimize the study, theauthors used the strategy phenomenology.The results of this study indicate that the institutional capacity of the village governmentSokop not support in efforts to achieve regional autonomy, it is characterized by weak institu-tional role Desa Sokop in building independence of the village, institutional structuring andmanagement of village governance, weak financial management, and lack of community par-ticipation in development village (participatory development).

<span><em>In addition to being an additional new tourist destinations, Desa </em><span><em>Wisata in DIY turns out to function as well as one of conservation and community </em><span><em>empowerment strategies for environment and culture. </em><span><em>Through the development of </em><span><em>community Desa Wisata has a new source of income while preserving they </em><span><em>environment and culture. In that context, the development of Desa Wisata has a very </em><span><em>strategic position. In terms of potential, DIY has many villages are ready to develop </em><span><em>into Desa Wisatabecause they have material that can be packed into tourist </em><span><em>attractions and also supported by the strong desire of the community to develop itself </em><span><em>into a Desa Wisata. But however potential alone is not enough, because it must be </em><span><em>driven by a reliable institutional managers to promote Desa Wisata on market. This </em><span><em>problem is also faced by the Desa Wisata Tegaltirto </em><span><em>Kec. Berbah Kabupaten Sleman</em><span><em>. </em><span><em>This community service activities aimed to encouraging institutional strengthening </em><span><em>Desa Wisata and e-marketing capabilities of the managers and developer. Training </em><span><em>and mentoring activities carried out in Dusun Karangwetan with 20 participants (5 </em><span><em>groups). Training held for two full days, and will be assisting the manager and </em><span><em>developer of this institution. This study aims to identify the institutions that play a role in the procurement of rice seeds, describe the role of each institution, and develop policy recommendations for institutional strengthening of rice seed. The research was conducted in Nagari Lubuk Pandan, District 2x11 Six Lingkung, Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatera Province. The respondents' farmers were deliberately determined by 35 people based on the guidance of Wali Nagari and community leaders. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in table and diagram. The results showed that 1) Institutional of rice seed in Nagari Lubuk Pandan consist of formal and informal institution. The formal institutions are Gapoktan "Lubuk Pandan Sejahtera" and Saprodi Kiosk. Informal institutions are groups of other farmers who lend rice seeds. More than half of the farmers of the respondents obtained rice seed from other farmers, because it was more efficient, 2) Gapoktan "Lubuk Pandan Sejahtera", played a role in channeling seeds to its members if there is a seed assistance program from the government. Saprodi Kiosk provides high quality rice seeds at all times, but very few farmers can afford them, and 3) Farmers' structural weaknesses (low education and knowledge, narrow land, technological mastery and low group manageability), cause they are unable to integrate the provision of seed input with the farm, so that production tends to decrease. This condition needs to be improved through institutional strengthening and empowerment of farmers through concepts acceptable to farmers

The research entitled: "Maqasid al-Shari'ah Analysis of the Role of the Surabaya City Government in Realizing Child Friendly Cities" is a field research that aims to answer the question how the role of the Surabaya City Government in realizing Child Friendly Cities through established public policies from the perspective of the maq??id al-shar?'ah. Research data were collected using interview and documentation techniques and then analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques with a deductive mindset. The results of the study concluded that the Surabaya City Government was very active in realizing Child Friendly Cities through the protection and fulfillment of children's rights, which was clearly seen from the existence of various public policies that were established to support institutional strengthening and fulfillment of the five Child Friendly Cities clusters.The role of the Surabaya City Government is in accordance with the concept of maqasid al-shari'ah because the determination of public policy is based on the welfare of children. This is proven by the elements of hifz al-din and hifz al-nasl in the public policy regarding civil rights and freedom, family environment, and alternative protection. In addition, there are elements of hifz al-nafs and hifz al-aql in public policies regarding institutional strengthening and the five Child Friendly Cities clusters, although they are actually less than perfect due to the absence of the hifz al-mal elements in them.

ABSTRAKKesadaran petani akan dampak dari penggunaan pupuk atau pestisida kimia dalam pertanian konvensional sangat rendah. Penurunan kualitas lingkungan seperti berkurangnya serangga, penurunan kesuburan tanah, penurunan kualitas air, udara dan polusi tanah disebabkan oleh penggunaan bahan kimia dalam pertanian konvensional. Salah satu yang dapat dijadikan solusi untuk mengatasi kondisi ini adalah pengembangan pertanian organik (organic farming). Program Pengabdian Masyarakat dilaksanakan di desa Rendeng, kecamatan Gebang, kabupaten Purworejo bertujuan untuk menjadikan desa Rendeng sebagai kawasan pertanian, peternakan dan perikanan berbasis organic farming. Mitra dalam pelaksanan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah kelompok tani Ngudi Makmur dengan anggota 30 orang.  Metode yang digunakan adalah Education for Sustainable Development (EfSD) merupakan salah satu metode pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berorientasi pada penyelesaian masalah pada lingkungan masyarakat. Metode EfSD menekankan pada 3 pilar yaitu ekonomi, ekologi atau lingkungan dan sosial. Program kegiatan yang dilaksanakan secara garis besar meliputi, 1) pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui penguatan kelembagaan dan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia,2) Penumbuhan dan pengembangan budidaya pertanian, dan perikanan berbasis organic farming, 3) peningkatan produksi, pengolahan dan pemasaran hasil pertanian dan perikanan. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa penguatan kelembagaan Kelompok Tani  Ngudi Makmur beraktifitas dengan aktif, adanya program kegiatan dan sosialisasi serta pelatihan serta pembinaan         pengetahuan dan pengalaman  kelompok  tani dalam pengembangan pertanian dan perikanan organik. Kata kunci : organic farming; pertanian; perikanan; education for sustainable development. ABSTRACTFarmers' awareness of the impact of using chemical fertilizers or pesticides in conventional agriculture is very low. Environmental quality degradation such as reduced DR, decreased air quality, air pollution is caused by the use of chemicals in conventional agriculture. One of the solutions to overcome this condition is the development of organic agriculture (organic farming). The Community Service Program implemented in Rendeng village, Gebang District, Purworejo Regency aims to make Rendeng village an organic agriculture-based agricultural, livestock and fishery area. Partners in implementing this community service are the Ngudi Makmur farmer group with 30 members. The method used is Education for Sustainable Development (EfSD), which is a community service method that is oriented towards solving problems in the community environment. The EfSD method emphasizes 3 pillars, namely economic, ecological or environmental and social. The program of activities carried out in outline includes, 1) community empowerment through institutional strengthening and improvement of the quality of human resources, 2) cultivation and development of agricultural and fisheries based on organic agriculture, 3) increasing production, processing and marketing of agricultural and fishery products. The results of this community service are in the form of institutional strengthening of the Ngudi Makmur Farmer Group to be actively active, the existence of a program of activities and outreach as well as training as well as fostering knowledge and experience of farmer groups in developing organic agriculture and fisheries. Keywords : organic farming; agriculture; fishery; education for sustainable development.

2020 was an unprecedented year for everyone, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. MICI experienced this reality first-hand and was dedicated to reducing the disruptions in the operation of the mechanism due to the new circumstances, particularly in case management and accessibility. In numbers, MICIs complaint portfolio remained stable in 2020, with minimal variations compared to previous years. The Mechanism handled 21 complaints in total (two and three complaints less than in 2019 and 2018, respectively), 10 of which were new cases received in 2020. This report presents the management of each of these cases, as well as the main results in promoting access, learning and institutional strengthening.

This paper aims at analyzing current situation in Entikong as a border region of Indonesia-Malaysia. Economically, this region is dominated by agricultural sectors and mostly harvested valuable commodities were traded in border by farmers from Entikong. This study employed a phenomenological qualitative approach for describing problems faced by farmers and the efforts related to farmers’ household empowerment for improving their quality of life. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation, and it was analyzed by using the steps of verification and triangulation, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that main problems are related to the insufficiency of socio-economic infrastructures for improving value added for agricultural products, such as the limitation of roads infrastructure and far distance of market make farmers unwilling to sell their harvested products because of high distribution expenses. Farmers empowerment done by government and NGO were directed to improve their knowledge and skills related to plantation and agricultural activities. Moreover, it needs socio-economic institutional strengthening and participation from farmers’ community as well.

In 2013 and 2019, the local government legislation of the province of Punjab in Pakistan saw two rounds of major changes – each of which led to a new local government Act being passed. In 2013 the changes were driven by constitutional and judicial requirements and in 2019 by the political will of Pakistan’s new coalition government. This article analyses and compares the functional assignment (FA) architecture of the two Acts against a set of parameters. The study finds that marginal improvements to the FA architecture introduced by the 2019 Act are offset by continuing inconsistencies and lack of clarity over ‘who does what’ in the functions assigned to local governments. The authors suggest that improving the functionality of local governments requires full implementation of the design features of the new system, including institutional strengthening of provincial-level entities which regulate and oversee the local government system.
