The sources of contamination with heptyl (asymmetric dimethylhydrazine (NDMG)) associated with the operation of rocket and space technology have been identified and analyzed. Existing chemical, thermal, adsorption and biological methods for cleaning soil soils from pollution of NDMG are examined in detail and their basic principles are analyzed. In the process of work, the advantages and disadvantages of all the methods considered, as well as the features of their application, are revealed. The basic principles of choosing the most suitable methods in each particular situation are proposed. In general, a reasonable combination of all existing methods is recommended at different stages of soil reclamation.

Firms operate in a more and more complex, dynamic, less predictable environment. This situation requires following different approaches of strategic positioning and strategic planning and developing new patterns of strategic thinking. There are several strategic models and tools. Most of them have advantages and disadvantages. In spite of these limitations, these models must be examined. The purpose of this chapter is to conduct a strategic analysis (external and internal diagnoses). It familiarizes the reader with the forces that shape competition in a company's external environment and then analyzes internal strategic capabilities for identifying strategic sustainable competitive advantage.

Optical biometry is based on the laser interferometry technique for the measurement of the biometric characteristics of the eyes, such as the antero-posterior axial length, anterior chamber depth, lens and retina thickness, corneal diameter and parameters of keratometry. The present article was designed to overview the basic principles of this method, its advantages and disadvantages, indications and contraindications for its application. The comparative analysis of the characteristics of the following optical biometric devices was undertaken: IOL-Master 500, Lenstar LS 900, Aladdin, OA-1000, OA-2000, Al-3000, Al-Scan, Galilei G6, IOL-Master 700.

The review shows modern concepts on the role of antiplatelet therapy in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular diseases in patients after non-cardioembolic ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA). We present an analytical characteristic of all antiplatelet agents that have been studied in randomized controlled trials worldwide. We demonstrate the advantages and disadvantages of each agent in monotherapy and in combination. New ideas about the rationality of the use of combined antiplatelet therapy with clopidogrel and acetylsalicylic acid in the first 24 hours and no more than 90 days in patients with minor ischemic stroke or TIA are discussed. The efficacy and safety of new antiplatelet agents are analyzed. The basic principles of choosing antiplatelet agents in patients after ischemic noncardioembolic stroke/TIA are outlined.

Increasing the incidence of breast cancer worldwide is an alarming factor for the medical community and also an additional reason for accountability. Oncological treatment, followed by subsequent reconstructive stages, are traumatic events that without a doubt exert their adverse effects on the quality of life of these patients. The reconstruction of the nipple-areola complex represents the final element in the treatment of patients who have suffered from cancer breast and must follow basic principles such as: reproducibility, efficacy, short duration of treatment and low rate of complications. The present material presents the various surgical techniques dedicated to the reconstruction of the nipple-areola complex, presenting their advantages and disadvantages based on a 5-year study. The use of single-stage techniques associated with medical tattooing were the main factor in increasing the satisfaction of the patients included in the research.

The experience of using turquoise organizations has long been used abroad. Turquoise organizations are the so-called “living” organizations, working on the principle of a single organism, a living system: flexibly reacting to the changes taking place, making decisions on an intuitive level and subtly feeling its internal and external processes. In working with the personnel of Russian organizations it is a new technology that is of interest from the point of view of theorists and practitioners. The article attempts to define the conceptual basis of this technology taking into account the principles, mechanisms and expected results of the functioning of turquoise organizations. The article presents the essence, basic principles of turquoise organizations. The advantages and disadvantages of this form of management interaction are indicated. The article presents the foreign experience of turquoise organizations and the pilot project of the Russian organization. The prospects of using this innovative technology in working with the staff of modern domestic organizations are indicated.

In view of the shortage of water resources and the pollution of water environment, the development of efficient water purification technology is one of the effective ways to ensure the safety of drinking water. The technology of reverse osmosis has attracted much attention in the application of drinking water security for its advantages of no phase change and simple equipment. This paper briefly introduces the research progress at home and abroad, basic principles, process flow diagram, advantages and disadvantages and development direction of the technology.

Former food products (FFPs) represent a way by which leftovers from the food industry (e.g., biscuits, bread, breakfast cereals, chocolate bars, pasta, savoury snacks, and sweets) are converted into ingredients for the feed industry, thereby keeping food losses in the food chain. FFPs represent an alternative source of nutrients for animal feeding. However, beyond their nutritional value, the use of FFPs in animal feeding implies also safety issues, such as those related to the presence of packaging remnants. These contaminants might reside in FFP during food processing (e.g., collection, unpacking, mixing, grinding, and drying). Nowadays, artificial senses are widely used for the detection of foreign material in food and all of them involve computer vision. Computer vision technique provides detailed pixel-based characterizations of colours spectrum of food products, suitable for quality evaluation. The application of computer vision for a rapid qualitative screening of FFP’s safety features, in particular for the detection of packaging remnants, has been recently tested. This paper presents the basic principles, the advantages, and disadvantages of the computer vision method with an evaluation of its potential in the detection of packaging remnants in FFP.
