There have been many studies on organizational culture. However, there have been not many studies on safety culture especially in Indonesia. Furthermore, the studies of safety culture in its relations to leadership styles, job satisfaction and employee performance have been little. This study examines the impacts of safety culture and leadership styles on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. Data was collected through questionnaires sent to 150 employees, mostly heavy equipment operators and several field foremen. 131 were completed and returned however only 119 were valid for analysis. Statistical method used to test each hyphotesis was path analysis. The results showed that most hypothesis were confirmed. From five hypothesis, only one (H2) that had to be rejected. While four hypothesis i.e. H1, H3, H4 and H5were accepted. These results indicated that safety culture has a significant impact on job satisfaction (H1) but has no significant impact on performance (H2). Whilst leadership style has a significant impact on both job satisfaction (H3) and employee performance (H4). Finally, job satisfaction has a significant impact on employee performance (H5). The objective of the research is to find out the effect of supervision, motivation, andwork commitment to the employee performance at DirektoratJenderalBimbinganMasyarakat Islam Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia.Survey was applied in this study which data have been analyzed by path analysis after all variables put into correlation matrix and multiple regression. In this research, the employee have been chosen as a unit analysis and 150 samples selected randomly. The results of the study found that employee performance was directly influenced by supervision, motivation, and work commitment. And indirectly, employee performance is influenced by the supervisory variable and the motivation variable through work commitment, this shows that the commitment variable is not a good mediating variable. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the variation of Supervision, Motivation and Commitment each has an effect on employee performance, but the motivation variable is more dominant in influencing employee performance, for that it is suggested to the leadership element that to improve employee motivation performance becomes a benchmark in the success of organizational performance. . Performance is an essential factor in an organization; increasing organizational performance can be affected by the leadership and organizational culture. Good leadership and organizational culture will create job satisfaction for employees, thereby improving employee performance in the organization. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of situational leadership and organizational culture on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. This study employed Structural Equation Modeling analysis using a sample of 275 employees of fire management and rescue of the North Jakarta administration. The data were analyzed using Lisrel software. The results showed that situational leadership and organizational culture did not have a significant relationship with performance directly. Nevertheless, situational leadership and organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. It is suggested that the organization needs to pay attention to job satisfaction which is a significant factor in improving employee performance. Further researchers can replicate the model in a different context to verify the applicability of the model.
