Modern linguistics is characterized by the establishment and formation of a new promising direction, based on anthropocentric theory of speech genres (TSG). The popularity of this direction lies in the interest of the scientists in the phenomenon of virtual communication, which has a certain structure and differs in mechanisms of influence on the social content. The multidimensionality and richness of genre forms determine the need for a diverse approach to the study of speech genres in modern genology. The aim of the article is to study and analyze the theory of speech genres in modern linguistics. The author presents the basic theoretical foundations of the study of the theory of speech genres. Taking into account the achievements of modern studies, the concept of speech genres is analyzed, features and functions of the visual elements of the speech genre are described. It is proved that the modern speech genre and its variety the virtual speech genre are an informational and communicative environment in which there is a certain styling, sphere of communication, speech behavior. The speech genre and the virtual speech genre belong to the written communication and rely on the fullest use of lexical, grammatical, graphic, and media means of speech, which foresees certain adjustments, as well as it differs by the form of dialogue and monologue.

Social networks are virtual communication sites that allow its participants to connect, building relationships, and collaborate on social issues. It became part of our lives and spread rapidly among youth. Young people join these sites to keep strong relationships with friends and to make new ones. Therefore, it is important to investigate the factors that influence the intention to use social networking sites (SNSs) to gain better position in the social reform among young people. This study developed an integrated theoretical model which has five major factors that predict the intention to use SNSs. An empirical test was conducted, where a sample of 302 university students and an instrument containing 27 items was used. The results provide consistent evidence that all hypothesized positive associations exist except for the isolation variable. After taking into account different demographic and attitudinal variables, Facebook use still predicted respondents' social reform. The future work might focus on a specific context such as the effects of using social networks on education, and focus on students' environment in education and the influence of social network. Detailed results, conclusions and future work are stated in later sections.

Social networks are dynamic, accessible virtual planes of communication, through which users carry out the cross-border and transient exchange of information and emotions, meeting their communication needs. The article outlines the main aspects of written communication, its communicative needs, and the ambiguity of interpretations.The constant growth of the popularity of social networks with the simultaneous displacement of the importance of live, direct communication forces scientists in various fields, including the theory of communication, communicative linguistics, to rethink the phenomenon of "communication". It is about creating a special discourse, which is caused by the specifics of the communication channel/code between communicators and the virtual chronotype. Attention has been drawn to written communication on social networks in terms of speakers’ intentions, the interpretation of explicit and implicit information, its impact on the participants of communication, the formation of the special culture of communication (non-library), etc.Specificity in the written form of communication in the social media has been caused by many factors: the readiness or unreadiness of the virtual interlocutor to interact; dominance of visual perception, hence, special attention of recipients to the layout, structuring of the text, volume, photo accompaniment, etc.; knowledge of the latest trends in online communication (fashion clichés, abbreviations, slang, memes); replacement or substitution of non-verbal means by various means of paragraphemics, for example, smilies, stickers, pictures, animation, etc.; developing of a specific network chronotype, in which there are no time limits and which is constantly expanding in volume due to the multiplicity of accounts, texts, chats, groups.Not everyone who communicates on social media knows the intentions of other people. On the one hand, such communication generates the selectivity or concealment of true meanings in the author's texts and on the other hand, additional meanings are taken on during the recipients’ interpretation.

Mapping Paris: Social and Artistic Networks, 1855–1889 charts and analyzes 19th-century social networks in order to map the artistic collaborations taking place in Paris between the Universal Expositions of 1855 and 1889. In doing so, it allows scholars to view the data in novel ways and to foster considerations of aesthetic dialogue through crossed paths, acquaintances, friendships, conversations and collaborations in the social condenser of Paris. This article focuses on situating the project on its theoretical foundations, considers some of the research questions that can be investigated through such a methodological tool and contemplates the implications on the discipline of art history.

Ever since the introduction of social networks in the early 2000s information and communication of ideas have drastically changed in their framing and mediums and also the delivery method between the sender and intended and unintended receivers. Social networks have many distinctive characteristics that demarcate them from SMS (Short Message Service), VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) and the ordinary voice phone call.Early social networks prior to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin included MySpace and Xanga. MySpace which was founded in 2003 was early adaptor to the fundamental concepts we know today like networking, personal framing online and sharing that undermine every social interaction offline and online. Xanga pioneered the highly customizable profile which gave users the option to customize practically any element on their page by accessing the HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) code of the visual elements they could modify to their own liking and personality, this however required a lot of programming skills and was a set back for the social network’s aim of customizability.In our current state and time in the western world in academic, work and extracurricular activities nearly all of the members interacting are on one social network, if not all that are mentioned. Facebook serves as a social marketing tool for some of its users that frame their lives in a pseudo-happy frame and some let out their problems and grasp Facebook as a personal journal without the confidentiality of a paperback journal. Instagram is visually based social network that aims to extrovert one’s creative skills of being a smartphone photographer. Instagram includes tools that help your photography skills and even provide a toolbox of premade filters set to provide digitally taken photographs with an old-school visual of film photography. Linkedin lets business workers, owners, seekers and entrepreneurs connect to one another in a highly formal manner, something that isn’t found in Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.This research takes the social network Twitter as its content matter due to its significant uniqueness of not being a visually based social network that is prevalent today. Twitter has been known for its straight message transmissions from the sender to the receiver. On Twitter everyone can interact with everyone from celebrities and politicians to farmers and students. This research aims to answer the concept of correlations and trends between Twitter users and their social network scope. Being branded as the “social network for smarter people”, Twitter is relevant to the intellectual property that composes the electronic knowledge base. Twitter is a witty and smart social network; users have 140 characters or less to compose their message.In the below section we present the aimed research questions and likely outcomes of the research known as the hypotheses. Afterwards the methodology used to collect the examined data is presented and our results post-data collection. The conclusion of the paper provides a discussion, conclusion and limitations of the aforementioned study.

The article deals with the problem of determining psychological peculiarities of virtual communication of people, who in a great degree are characterized by dependence on social networks. The author of the article has done a comparative analysis of the peculiarities of cyber-communication of addicts and other Internet users. There were analyzed gender differences of virtual communication. It was established that in the contemporary society virtual communication had become more widespread especially if to analyze it according to the latest information technologies. In such a way the process of interpersonal communication is gradually supplanted by virtual means of transmitting information. The specificity of virtual communication was especially emphasized when the person used social networks which served to maintain contacts, to find like-minded people, to express emotional states, including those ones which were considered unacceptable by the society. There were determined psycholinguistic features of virtual communication in the Internet environment: psycholinguistic presuppositions, psycholinguistic semantic presuppositions, pragmatic, psycho-linguistically marked presuppositions. It was underlined that psycholinguistic presupposition is a special kind of logical mastering of virtual information, cognitive explication of frames by means of actualization of a common fund of knowledge of participants in communication about the world, its organization, the place of a person in it and others. Also, in the Internet environment psycholinguistic semantic presuppositions often take place. Them we’ll analyze as a certain semantic component of the message (statement, judgment), the inaccuracy of which in a particular situation makes the message abnormal or inappropriate. It was emphasized that in the space of virtual communication, the pragmatic, psycho-linguistically marked presupposition, which are a component of the message, the speech genre, and discourse (or a text), are directly related to subjective factors of Internet communication (orientation in different situations of virtual communication, actualization of social, cognitive, gender, etc., characteristics of people in one communicative act), the absence of which converts a message, speech genre, discourse (or a text), virtual communication in general into inappropriate – such as insincere, unnatural, provocative, that do not conceal positive conditions, which make a success in a whole.

This article describes genre-forming features of informative documentary texts of military discourse, such as communicative goal, author’s image, addressee’s image, event content, factor of the future, and factor of the past. The following terms are studied here: documentary text, speech genre, and informative speech genres. The documentary text is considered as a kind of а speech genre, realized in writing. In the course of the research, the most frequent informative documents of military discourse (Great Patriotic War period) were selected, i.e. summary, dispatch, and report. Having analysed the definitions of the abovementioned speech genres and the corresponding documentary texts, the author was able to determine their communicative goals, single out the main (inform) and additional (ask, suggest) genre-forming intentions. It was revealed that the speech addressee in informative speech genres can be both an executive officer and a group of persons, information about them (detailed or not) being presented in the initial and final formulas of the document. The author’s image in the main texts of documents is either implicit or manifested with the help of performative verbs. The speech addressee is abstract and is only indicated in the initial formula of the document, in most cases by the person’s position. Informative documents should meet the following requirements: impersonal and multi-event nature, presentation of the informative component by events of the past and the present, creation of a futural perspective in texts with incentive intentions. The analysis of the factor of the past showed that the summary and the analytical report are initiative genres of written communication, while the dispatch and the operations report are reactive speech genres. Having studied the factor of the future parameter, the author concluded that informative speech genres underlie other informative and directive genres. For instance, dispatches and reports are created on the basis of summaries, whose main intention is to inform. The texts of dispatches and reports, having additional intentions of asking and suggesting, form the basis for directive documentary texts.

The article is devoted to the analysis of written language of adolescents and young people with hearing impairment in the virtual space. The study involved 28 people, aged 16 to 20 years, 14 of them were with hearing impairments. 3 people at the age of 16 years old, 9 people are 17 years old, 4 people are 18 years old. The first part of the study was conducted as online questionnaires, which was aimed to clarify preferred virtual spaces for communication, the attitude to the written communication, also creative tasks for evaluation of written language developed by O.V. Vilenskaya was included. The second part consisted of analysis of the contents of the social network profile of the participants. The results have shown that the written language of deaf adolescents and young people in social networks reflected the general features of their verbal communication and social relations (in general, they use less detailed written statements than hearing peers do, less actually initiated written language, less flexible writing, less partners for communication in social networks, the prevalence of consistency errors). Nevertheless, it is significant that they appreciate the importance of writing and try to monitor its accuracy. Virtual communication in the life of young people with hearing impairments plays the same role as in the life of hearing peers and they successfully master this side of modern reality.
