Values in preschool education

Preschool years have an important place in the formation of moral values and in the socialisation of the individual afterwards. Social values that make up an important part of human life are acquired by children who lead a normal life. This research on the ages of children, having value, gender, parental education status and mother’s work status was performed in order to determine whether it differs. The study group consisted of 121 children who received preschool education in Bayburt province centre. In order to obtain information by parents and teachers, the PreSchool Values Scale Family and Parent Form developed by Nesliturk and Celikoz were used. Data were analysed by the SPSS program. As a result of the analysis, children’s value scores differed significantly according to their age and gender, while parents’ education level and mother’s working conditions showed that the results did not differ significantly. The purpose of the research described in the article is to consider the values and imperatives that underlie the formation of the information culture of preschool children. The research methods were the study and analysis of psychological, pedagogical and philosophical literature, forecasting and reflection. Based on the results of the study, the concept of antifragile education was proposed, its methodological basis, principles and rules were determined. The practical significance of the results obtained lies in determining the components of the formation of the value basis of the preschool information culture preconditions: cognitive (the process of cognition of adequate actions in the digital space in the process of self-realization; the ability to select criteria for ranking information; awareness in the field of digital space threats that contradict imperatives and impede self-realization), behavioral with sufficient emotional and volitional reinforcement (to plan and perform a conscious system of actions), motivational and value (a conscious system of actions for self-realization in accordance with imperatives). The study revealed that the issue of personal self-identification in the redundant digital space has not been sufficiently studied. It is necessary to introduce the principles of antifragile education and continue the awareness and development of the components of the formation of the value basis of the preconditions of the information culture of preschoolers. The concept of antifragile education can form the basis of the work of teachers, starting from the level of preschool education, and the spiritual and moral values that form the basis of the concept can be very important for parents of preschoolers. For the first time, a concept is proposed that is designed to form and maintain imperatives in children, allowing for self-identification and spiritual and moral self-realization in the context of the formation of information culture of preschoolers. As the conclusions, the use of digital technologies in education was noted, and at the same time the issue of introducing the principles of antifragile education for the spiritual and creative self-realization of the individual in the new global international digital space of human life is being actualized.

This review highlights some of the aspects of the fertility in patients with germ cell tumors. This problem appears to be the very actual problem because of the possible impact not only anticancer therapy, but the tumor itself, coming from the human gonadal germ cells on the fertility. The individual histological types have been characterized by age and gender features. In patients with germ cell tumors, infertility is more common than in patients with other malignancies. Feasibility of the germ cell sampling procedure: the sperm and possibly, ovum, before the treatment in order to preserve the reproductive function of cured patients.


The aim of this study is to measure the level of job satisfaction among the employees of Grameen Bank. It describes the factors of job satisfaction from the earlier literature and identifies their impacts on the overall job satisfaction of employees. The sample size of this study is 50 employees from the different branches of Grameen Bank. Data were collected from 10 branches of Grameen Bank by means of a structured questionnaire. The findings of the study show that organizational factors such as working conditions, pay, fairness and promotion significantly influence job satisfaction of the employees in Grameen Bank and the individual factors such as age and gender do not significantly influence employee job satisfaction in the Bank.

The focus of this rarer is an exploration of the relationship between concepts of gender, aging and dying in Melanesia. It is argued that age and gender are fundamental principles underlying the Melanesian world view; that the aging process is, at the individual level, an experiential living through of this world view; and, that age both delimits and articulates gender in terms of social and personal identity. The paper begins with a theoretical discussion of the Melanesian world view. Examples drawn from Melanesian ethnography generally and the Bariai in particular, are used to illustrate that world view and its usefulness as a theoretical framework for understanding gender and the totality of the life cycle as interrelated processes.

<span>The use of information technology in higher education has increased significantly over the years. There is a paucity of controlled research which examines differences in electronic learning (EL) and face to face (F2F) learning. This study examined student (n = 1401) performance (final grade) in nine units offered in both F2F and EL mode over the course of two years. The effect of age and gender was also considered. Students, on average, did better in the EL mode although at the individual unit level there were minimal if any significant differences. Age and gender did not appear to moderate performance in any way except for those students under 33 who did better, on average, in the EL mode. The implications for teaching and learning in virtual mediums are discussed.</span>

Background: Human life from conception till death needs some sources of energy or heating mechanism to advance from a day to another in the process of livelihood. From innocent infants falling victims to fires, toddlers to scalds, youth to vitriolage and elders to enmity of a variety of sources or to their own debilitation bring them close to the fire source let them fell a prey to burns. Aim: To observe the age and gender predilections amongst the victims of burns Methods: The study was carried out among 250 victims of burns presented from December 2017 to August 2018 and reported in the Accident and Emergency Department of Mayo Hospital Lahore and filtered in Medicolegal Clinic of King Edward Medical University Lahore. Results: The study revealed maximum involvement of pediatric and geriatric age groups falling victim to burn incidents. In an analysis as a whole almost 84% victims were belonging to these two extremes of ages. Gender disparity showed a slight difference of just 10% showing female preponderance being exposed to burns. Objective: This study investigates the influence of shoe type (sneakers and safety boots), age, and gender on the perception of haptic pulse feedback provided by a prototype accelerator pedal in a running stationary vehicle. Background: Haptic feedback can be a less distracting alternative to traditionally visual and auditory in-vehicle feedback. However, to be effective, the device delivering the haptic feedback needs to be in contact with the person. Factors such as shoe type vary naturally over the season and could render feedback that is perceived well in one situation, unnoticeable in another. In this study, we evaluate factors that can influence the subjective perception of haptic feedback in a stationary but running car: shoe type, age, and gender. Method: Thirty-six drivers within three age groups (≤39, 40–59, and ≥60) took part. For each haptic feedback, participants rated intensity, urgency, and comfort via a questionnaire. Results: The perception of the haptic feedback is significantly influenced by the interaction between the pulse’s duration and force amplitude and the participant’s age and gender but not shoe type. Conclusion: The results indicate that it is important to consider different age groups and gender in the evaluation of haptic feedback. Future research might also look into approaches to adapt haptic feedback to the individual driver’s preferences. Application: Findings from this study can be applied to the design of an accelerator pedal in a car, for example, for a nonvisual in-vehicle warning, but also to plan user studies with a haptic pedal in general.

Health is an important factor in human life that have to be guarded, both physically and mentally. This study aimed to analyze the factors that affect health condition using medical check up data. Factors analyzed were consuming alcohol, smoking, exercise, age and gender. The method was the association rule using FPGrowth. The result of this study was factors that affect the health condition is alcohol, exercise and age. This result evidenced by the rules A3→K3, which means that if a person consumes more alcohol than 4 days/week with the amount of alcohol is less than 180ml/day, then health condition was poor with 11% support and 67% confidence. E1→K3, which means that if one rarely exercise then health condition was poor with 24% support and 99% confidence. G2→K3, which means that if a person in middle age group, then the condition of health was poor with 24% support and 99% confidence.
