The success of an institution or university depends on how the leader educates and implements the strategy. Therefore, an education strategy must be developed by university in every nation worldwide. This research aims to know the implementation of TQM on the Faculty of Islamic Study in Muhammadiyah University, Malang, Indonesia, which are Quality standard, TQM implementation strategy, TQM evaluation, the obstacles of TQM implementation in the Faculty of Islamic Study in Muhammadiyah University, Malang. This research employs descriptive analysis. The instrument of data collection is by interviewing, documenting and observing. The most important findings from this research is the quality standard in Muhammadiyah University Malang follows the regulation of National Higher Education and formulated based on KKNI. The strategy of TQM implementation was conducted from the central of quality management, while the process of quality evaluation was conducted directly from the teaching and learning activities. The obstacles faced by the TQM implementation is the lack of professionals and the lack of awareness to implement the new quality standard, and the development of TQM is done by implementing the education policy firmly and it must be controlled continuously.

Value education is a conscious and planned effort to help students recognize the values that must be used as a guide in behaving and behaving in everyday life. The purpose of this research was to determine the value education strategy as forming the personality of students in schools, especially at the elementary school level. SDN Nagreg 04 is one of the elementary schools that instill value education as a way of shaping the personality of students so that they become personal benefits for others. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods and uses data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Based on research results show that the value education strategy as forming the personality of students in schools can be started from the curriculum and tools such as syllabus and lesson plans, plan various programs that can support the process of value education to students, integrated with teaching and learning activities, and through collaboration between schools, parents, and society.

  Writing is not an easy thing. Especially for beginners or those who have never written. Writing activities become boring activities, not fun. Writing is a scary thing. It's very hard to do. Sometimes we don't know where to start. These problems can be solved with the development of increasingly advanced technology. Technology was created to be able to help and make it easier for humans to do things. In the field of education, various applications can be used to support teaching and learning activities, one of which is the Pixton application. Pixton is a website that allows students to create comics online without installing anything on their computer. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to (1) describe the increase in interest in writing stories through the Pixton application. (2) Describe the results of writing stories through the Pixton application. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques in this study uses a questionnaire. The method of scaling the attitude statement uses a Likert scale with five alternative answers. The results of the study were 91.4% of respondents who answered strongly agree and agree that the Pixton application is interesting when used to write stories. 80% of respondents stated that the Pixton application did not make respondents bored in completing a story. 94.3% stated that writing stories using the Pixton application was more interesting than writing stories on a piece of paper. 94.3% of respondents stated that the Pixton application can increase creativity and interest in writing stories. The results of writing stories through the Pixton Application with an average value of compiling story texts are 83.8. ABSTRAKMenulis bukanlah hal yang mudah. Apalagi bagi pemula atau yang sama sekali belum pernah menulis. Kegiatan menulis menjadi kegiatan yang membosankan, tidak menyenangkan. Menulis menjadi hal yang menakutkan. Berat sekali untuk melakukannya. Tidak tahu harus mulai dari mana. Berbagai permasalahan ini dapat dipecahkan dengan perkembangan teknologi yang semakin maju. Teknologi diciptakan untuk dapat membantu dan mempermudah manusia dalam mengerjakan sesuatu. Dalam bidang pendidikan, beragam aplikasi bisa digunakan untuk menunjang kegiatan belajar mengajar, salah satunya adalah aplikasi Pixton. Pixton adalah situs web yang memungkinkan peserta didik membuat komik online tanpa memasang apa pun di komputer. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian ini untuk (1) mendeskripsikan peningkatan minat menulis cerita melalui aplikasi Pixton. (2) Mendeskripsikan hasil menulis cerita melalui aplikasi Pixton. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan quesioner. Metode penskalaan atas pernyataan sikap menggunakan skala likert dengan lima alternatif jawaban. Hasil penelitian 91,4% responden yang menjawab sangat setuju dan setuju bahwa aplikasi Pixton menarik bila digunakan untuk menulis cerita. Sebanyak 80% responden menyatakan aplikasi Pixton tidak membuat responden bosan dalam menyelesaikan sebuah cerita. Sebanyak 94,3% menyatakan menulis cerita dengan menggunakan aplikasi Pixton lebih menarik dari pada menulis cerita di selembar kertas. Sebanyak 94,3% responden menyatakan aplikasi Pixton dapat meningkatkan kreativitas dan minat menulis cerita. Hasil menulis cerita melalui Aplikasi Pixton dengan nilai rata-rata menyusun teks cerita 83,8.

The accuracy and reliability is the quality of the information. The more accurate and reliable, the more information it’s good quality. Similarly, a survey, the better the survey, the more accurate the information provided. Implementation of student satisfaction measurement to the process of teaching and learning activities on the quality of the implementation of important lectures in order to get feedback on the assessed variables and for future repair. Likewise in Higher Education Prog has undertaken the process of measuring student satisfaction through a distributed questioner finally disemester each class lecture. However, the deployment process questioner is identified there are 7 (seven) problems. However, the problem can be resolved by the 3 (three) ways of solving problems one of which is a system of iLearning Survey (Isur), that is by providing an online survey to students that can be accessed anywhere and anytime. In the implementation shown a prototype of Isur itself. It can be concluded that the contribution Isur system can maximize the decision taken by the Higher Education Prog. By using this Isur system with questions and evaluation forms are submitted and given to the students and the other colleges. To assess the extent to which the campus has grown and how faculty performance in teaching students class, and can be used as a media Isur valid information for an assessment of activities throughout college.

This study aims to describe the process of developing teaching materials by using Glasser model in the Indonesian language course in FKIP UMSU. The sample of the research is 34-second semester A morning students in the Study Program of Language and Literature of Indonesia, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah, Sumatera Utara. The questionnaire instrument was used to determine the student's response and activeness to the developed teaching material, the observation sheet used to know the condition of the students in the learning process, and the validation sheet instrument used for the development of teaching materials based on SAP using Glasser model. The result of descriptive research on student's response shows that 100% of students were happy about the teaching materials of Bahasa Indonesia (Teaching Materials, Guided Exercises and Lecture Strategies) and 91.66% of students think that the teaching materials are new to them. After using the teaching materials developed by the researcher and following the teaching and learning activities, students (100%) are interested in following the next lesson, the readability of the language of the learning material is easy to understand (91.66%) and the guidance given by the lecturer is clear (100%). While the self-employed activity is fun for students (91.66%). Students activity in learning activities was shown by their involvement in problem solving, his involvement in carrying out learning tasks, assessing his ability, digging and developing his own knowledge. Based on the validation sheet on the test of learning result 1 obtained information that from the 3 learning objectives formulated in SAP I and SAP II there is 1 learning objectives that have not yet completed. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of the test results of learning 2 it was obtained that the 3 learning objectives formulated in SAP III and SAP IV was finished learning objective.

This research is done because the number of students of UNBAJA’s PPKn courses semester II and IV academic year 2017 - 2018 have low nationalism.. This was seen from the results of tests that showed that there were still many students of the UNBAJA’s PPKn courses in the second and fourth semester of the 2017-2018 academic year who did not memorize the Pancasila and Indonesian Raya, and did not understand the meaning of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. The purpose of this study was to determine the causes of the low sense of nationalism of students in the UNBAJA’s PPKn courses in the second and fourth semester of 2017 - 2018 academic year and to find out the role of lecturers of PPKn courses in increasing the nationalism feeling of students in the UNBAJA’s PPKn courses in the second and fourth semester of 2017 - 2018. This study uses a descriptive method of qualitative approach with data collection techniques using test techniques, observation and interviews. Subjects of this study are lecturers of UNBAJA’s PPKn courses and students of UNBAJA’s PPKn courses in second and fourth semester of academic year 2017 - 2018. The results of this study indicate that the role of the PPKn lecturer can increase the sense of nationalism of students in the PPKn UNBAJA courses in the second and fourth semester of the 2017 - 2018 academic year, such as before the teaching and learning activities are conducted in class, the lecturer always instructed everyone to pray.

This study aims to determine how the efforts of the head of madrasah to improve the existence of Private Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MIS) 01 Kepahiang. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis methods, data collection through techniques, interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the efforts made by the head of madrasah were through improving madrasah management so that managing madrasahs went better. To carry out this effort involves all components in the madrasah so that the efforts of the head of the madrasah can be carried out properly. The head of madrasah receives positive support from teachers and the community so that they can develop the existence of the madrasah. The internal supporting factor for the condition of the madrasah is comfort to work so that activities can run well. Then externally the community supports the learning activities. The obstacle is the lack of optimal madrasah activity time, making it difficult to implement management to improve the existence of an effective and efficient madrasah. Working Group of Teachers of Islamic Religious Education State Elementary School Gerokgak District is an organization engaged in Islamic Religious Education, where the board and its members consist of special Islamic Education Teachers (GPAI) both civil servant teachers and non-civil servants who are responsible and participate in promoting Islamic Education and fight for the rights of students who are Muslim. KKGPAI-SDN Gerokgak District has been established since 20 years ago. During this time KKGPAI-SDN has a desire to memanjukan KKGPAI-SDN Gerokgak District not only in terms of activities, but in terms of administration that is still very manual done using Ms.Word and Ms. Exel, such as in making activity reports covering the results of the contest, filing of GPAI for UAS, UTS, UKK and USBN, financial reports, monthly routine reports of teaching and learning activities GPAI, and archiving correspondence in all aspects, making KKGPAI take a long time to completing the results of the contest to be informed to the school in the sub-district Gerokgak, data collection of funds and the expenditures that will be reported by the secretary to the chairman of the KKG, filing letters and questions made KKGPAI-SDN team compilers, reports on teaching and learning activities to be reported to the Office The Ministry of Religion of Buleleng Regency as a monthly fixed report for KKGPAI and GPAI every month as a means of assessing the District-level KKG and GPAI in advancing its vision and mission. Data collection methods carried out are through observation or field observation, interwiew or interview and literature study. The software development method used is the waterfall method through 5 stages, namely, the analysis stage, the design stage, the coding stage, the testing phase and the maintenance phase. From the explanation and the results of the discussion above can be concluded that the Administrative Information System Working Group Teachers Islamic Religious Education Gerokgak District was designed using PHP and MySQL programming language as one form of efforts to improve the quality Teacher Working Group Administration in District Gerokgak.

The place of leadership support for technological innovation in advancing quality management in higher education cannot be underrated in the fourth industrial revolution. This chapter examines the role of leadership in higher education and innovative teaching and learning methods for quality assurance in higher education system. The literature review approach and author observation were adopted to cross-examine the influence of leadership on innovative teaching/learning methods and quality assurance in higher education. This chapter shows that leadership support for innovative teaching and learning methods is a benchmark for quality assurance in higher education in recent times. Therefore, no meaningful change will happen in any higher institution without a strong leadership support for innovation and quality management. Policymakers in higher education should create a climate that promotes creativity and innovation by ensuring that transformational leaders are at the helm of affairs for quality management.

This chapter approaches the problematic of communication in teaching-learning activities in higher education during the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The authors have proposed to present a theoretical and practical approach to the effective communication in teaching, with the objective of knowing which are the opinions of students on communication skills and motivation of them in the classroom. The study included a total of 261 students from different faculties at the University of Bucharest, who were a Likert-scale survey in the period May -July 2020. Results of the analysis of research data shows that students have seen their ability to concentrate and motivation to perform tasks affected, but they did not leave university. In this respect, most difficulties were in carrying out teamwork than individual. The adaptations made by the university during confinement have been positively appreciated. The research findings coming according to recent studies confirm that without communication the teaching and learning process will not take place.
