This library research was conducted with a background of enriching discourse and paradigm regarding the pattern of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) in Islamic and Western perspectives. In addition, researchers want to detect and see the pioneer of PAUD theory. Because there are some similarities from the originators of western theory with the Islamic PAUD theory. Although there are different things between the two perspectives. One of them, the western perspective reveals the beginning of the right AUD education since the womb, but vice versa with AUD education in the Islamic perspective, that is, starting from choosing a partner. Caregivers’ nutrition and physical activity knowledge is recognised as being important for children’s health and body size. Identifying knowledge gaps amongst caregivers may inform professional development and obesity-prevention strategies in childcare settings. This cross-sectional validated online questionnaire aimed to measure current early childhood education and care (ECEC) teachers’ nutrition knowledge for pre-schoolers (2–5-year-olds) and related perspectives. Teachers’ (n = 386) knowledge of nutrition was lacking: The overall score was 22.56 ± 2.83 (mean ± SD), or 61% correct. Increased years of experience significantly predicted an increase in knowing that national nutrition and physical activity guidelines exist (B = 0.02 [95% CI, 0.00–0.03], r2 = 0.13, p = 0.033). Teachers’ increased agreement in feeling they were confident talking about nutrition to parents significantly predicted an increase in overall nutrition knowledge scores (B = 0.34 [95% CI, 0.06–0.63], r2 = 0.15, p = 0.019). The belief that ECEC teachers play a vital role in promoting pre-schoolers’ healthy eating and physical activity was widespread. Common knowledge barriers included a lack of staff training, confidence, and resources. ECEC teachers may lack nutrition knowledge for pre-schoolers, particularly in regard to basic nutrition recommendations (servings, food/beverage choices, and portion sizes).

The phenomenon of the scarcity of men to work as early childhood education teachers makes people assume that the profession is more suitable for women, so that there is an imbalance in gender roles in early childhood education institutions. But the discussion of gender issues surrounding the profession of early childhood education teachers still seems to often escape from our attention. This is the background for choosing this issue. The purpose of this study is to describe gender stereotypes in the early childhood education teacher profession and provide an alternative view of the importance of men's roles in this field. The approach used is a qualitative approach and the type is library research. Based on the discussion and analysis, it was concluded that gender stereotypes in the early childhood education teacher profession are at least tangible in three ways: a) existence of feminine identity attached to this profession and it is far from masculinity, so men are less interested in teaching young children; b) early childhood education teachers are considered as a profession with a minimum risk so that it is less challenging and considered more appropriate for women; c) early childhood education teachers are low-paid jobs and are considered more appropriate for women.

Library research was conducted to gather information intended. The findings confirm that the curriculum of early childhood education in Indonesia applies curriculum 2013 which consists of aspect development of curriculum structure, and the learning process with a scientific approach. While the UK applies the curriculum according to the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which recognizes the importance of play and a balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities. Moreover, there is a basic difference between these two curriculum aspects, which Indonesia includes the religious and moral values to the body of the curriculum, while the UK does not. However, both Indonesia and UK are closely similar which promotes a balance between the development of academic and literacy skills, socio-emotional development, and creative and physical development.
