<p>Helping students to have good conceptual understanding is one of the purposes of learning mathematics. During class observations the researchers found some students still struggling with mathematics conceptual understanding.  This research implemented the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model along with mind mapping as an effort to improve students’ conceptual understanding of mathematics. The research was conducted with four students of grade VIII A using Classroom Action Research (CAR) at Sekolah Palembang Harapan in 3 cycles. Each cycle consisted of 5 stages. The researcher used four instruments: quiz, the mentor's observation sheet, the mentor’s feedback, and journal reflection. The result showed that the implementation of TPS with mind mapping improved the students’ understanding of mathematical concepts.</p><p><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Membantu siswa untuk memiliki pemahaman konsep yang baik adalah salah satu tujuan pembelajaran matematika. Selama melakukan pengamatan proses pembelajaran di kelas, peneliti menemukan bahwa siswa masih bergumul dengan pemahaman konsep matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan menerapkan model belajar <em>Think-Pair-Share </em>(TPS) dengan <em>Mind Mapping </em>untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep matematika. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan kepada 4 murid kelas VIII A Sekolah Palembang Harapan dengan 3 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 5 tahapan. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan empat instrumen yaitu kuis, lembar observasi guru mentor, umpan balik guru mentor dan jurnal refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TPS dengan <em>Mind Mapping</em>meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep matematika.</p><div><hr align="left" size="1" width="33%" /></div>

<p>The aim of this research was to know whether the Guided Discovery Instruction (GDI) method can improve conceptual understanding in learning mathematics. The research method used classroom action research in two cycles. The pre-cycle showed that students' conceptual understanding still was low. The research was conducted at Sekolah Lentera Harapan (SLH) in Ambon involving 14 students and the instruments used were post-test questionnaires, attainment sheet method, interviews, observations, and journal reflections. The results showed that using GDI improved students’ conceptual understanding in learning mathematics as evident by the increased number of students graduating KKM (71) from the first cycle (71.4%) to the second cycle (85.7%).</p><p><em>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK:</em>  <em>Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa melalui metode GDI dengan model penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Pra-siklus untuk memastikan pemahaman konsep kelas XI-IPS masih rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas XI-IPS SLH Ambon melibatkan 14 siswa dan menggunakan post-test, angket, lembar ketercapaian metode, wawancara, observasi, angket, dan jurnal refleksi sebagai instrumen. Hasilnya menunjukkan GDI meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa terlihat dari peningkatan jumlah siswa lulus KKM (71) dari siklus I (71,4%) ke siklus II (85,7%).</em></p>

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan minat membaca siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran induktif kata bergambar pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas 2 MIN 3 Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Masing-masing siklus diawali dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran induktif kata bergambar dapat meningkatkan minat membaca pada mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas II MIN 3 Kota Mataram. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari skor yang diperoleh pada siklus I, 14 siswa dari 28 siswa berminat untuk membaca sedangkan 14 siswa belum berminat membaca, sehingga persentase minat klasikal yang dicapai sebesar 50% dengan nilai rata-rata 63,1. Pada siklus II, 26 siswa dari 28 siswa berminat untuk membaca sedangkan 2 siswa lainnya belum berminat untuk membaca, sehingga persentase minat klasikal yang dicapai sebesar 92% dengan nilai rata-rata 66,3.AbstractThis study aimed to know the increase of students’ interest in reading through the implementation of visual word inductive learning model in Indonesian language subject for the second grade of MIN 3 Mataram City. The type of the research was classroom action research which consisted of two cycles. Each cycle was begun by planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The instruments used in this study was observations, questionnaires, and documentations. The result showed that the implementation of visual word inductive learning model could increase reading interest in Indonesian language subject of the second grade at MIN 3 Mataram City. It could be seen from the scores obtained in the first cycle, 14 students out of 28 students were interested to read while 14 students were uninterested. Thus, the percentage of classical interest achieved was 50% with an average value of 63.1. In cycle II, 26 students out of 28 students were interested to read while 2 students were unnterested so the percentage of classical interest achieved was 92% with an average value of 66.3.

Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitin ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran webbed dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan aktivitas belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III-C SD Negeri Beroanging Kota Makassar; (2) mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran webbed dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas III-C SD Negeri Beroanging Kota Makassar, khususnya membaca. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan menggunakan desain penelitian PTK, yang meliputi: perencanaan tindakan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa (1) penerapan model pembelajaran webbed dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia pada siswa kelas   III-C SD Negeri Beroanging Kecamatan Tallo Kota Makassar dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan aktivitas belajar bahasa Indonesia. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh respon siswa yang pada umumnya menyatakan respon yang positif (setuju dan sangat setuju) terhadap 10 butir pertanyaan/pernyataan angket, serta tidak ada satu pun respon siswa yang menyatakan respon negatif (tidak setuju dan sangat tidak setuju) terhadap pertanyaan/pernyataan angket tersebut yang berkaitan dengan motivasi dan aktivitas belajar siswa; dan (2) penerapan model pembelajaran webbed dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas   III-C SD Negeri Beroanging Kecamatan Tallo Kota Makassar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia, khususnya membaca. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I yakni perolehan nilai hasil belajar baru mencapai 55 % yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar berdasarkan KKM, kemudian mengalami peningkatan nilai menjadi 100 % pada siklus II. The objectives that will be achieved in this research are: (1) to describe the application of the webbed learning model that can improve the motivation and activities in learning Indonesian language for the grade III-C students at SD Negeri Beroanging Makassar City; (2) to describe the application of the webbed learning model that can improve the  Indonesian language learning outcomes of the grade III-C students at SD Negeri Beroanging Makassar City, especially in reading. The type of this research was classroom action research (CAR). Classroom action research (CAR) includes: planning action, action implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The results of this research concludes that: (1) the application of the webbed learning model in Indonesian language learning at the grade III-C students at SD Negeri Beroanging, Tallo District, Makassar City can improve students’ motivation and Indonesian language learning activities. This can be seen from the students' responses which generally stated positive responses (agree and strongly agree) to the 10 questions/questionnaire statements, and none of the students' responses expressed negative responses (disagree and strongly disagree) to the questions/statements. The questionnaire was related to the students' motivation and learning activities; and (2) the application of the webbed learning model in learning Indonesian language at the grade III-C students at SD Negeri Beroanging, Tallo District, Makassar City can improve Indonesian language learning outcomes, especially reading. This can be seen from the improvement of students' learning outcomes in the first cycle, namely the acquisition of new learning outcomes reaching 55% which achieved learning mastery based on the KKM, then it improved the value to 100% in the second cycle.

Increasing Students' Interest in Learning Mathematics Through Cooperative Learning Model Type Index Card Match in Class XI MIPA I SMA Negeri I Tanjung Selor. This study aims to increase students' interest in learning mathematics through cooperative learning model type index card match in class XI MIPA I SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor. This type of research is classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IPA I SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor which consisted of 17 male students and 16 female students. Data collection techniques in this study were using observation sheets and self-assessment. This classroom action research was carried out in 2 cycles and each cycle was carried out in 2 meetings. The results showed that the students' interest in learning mathematics in the first cycle was 74% of students in the high category at least and the second cycle increased to 85% of the students in the high minimum category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that using the index card match model can increase interest in learning mathematics in class XI-1 students of SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor. ABSTRAKMeningkatkan Minat Belajar Matematika Siswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Index Card Match Pada Siswa Kelas XI MIPA I SMA Negeri I Tanjung Selor.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar matematika siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe index card match pada siswa kelas XI MIPA I SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 12 Januari–15 April 2020 di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA I SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor yang terdiri dari 17 siswa laki-laki dan 16 siswa perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan lembar observasi dan penilaian diri. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus dan setiap siklus dilaksanakan dalam 2 kali pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat belajar matematika siswa pada siklus I adalah 74% siswa berada pada minimal kategori tinggi dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 85% siswa berada pada minimal kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model index card match dapat meningkatkan minat belajar matematika pada siswa kelas XI-1 SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Selor.

<p class="abstrak"><span>Mathematical communication skills are important for students </span><span lang="IN">to </span><span>be able to present strategies </span><span lang="IN">to solve</span><span> questions with the right procedures and principles. Based on observations at Lentera Harapan Way Pengubuan school, it was found that students </span><span lang="IN">were not able to write down the</span><span> strategy </span><span lang="IN">to solve</span> statements or questions with clear and complete procedures. Several details were missed and<span> some </span>symbols and equations were<span> inappropriately used</span><span>. Students</span><span lang="IN"> were</span><span> also </span><span lang="IN">unable to </span><span>draw</span> the correct graphics<span> equation. </span><span lang="IN">T</span><span>hese</span><span lang="IN"> indicated that </span>students lacked<span> in </span><span lang="IN">their</span><span> mathematical communication skills. </span><span lang="IN">Therefore, the </span><span>researcher implemented the drill method to enhance their mathematical communication skills. </span><span>The method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR). </span>The research was conducted from<span> July 17, 2017 </span><span>to </span><span>October 4, 2017. </span><span>The subjects of this research were 11 grade </span><span>8 students. Instruments used were observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, </span><span lang="IN">and rubric. </span><span>The data gathered were analyzed using descriptive statistics and qualitative descriptive methods. </span><span>The findings show</span><span lang="IN">ed an increase in the </span><span>indicators of students’ mathematical communication skills from </span><span lang="IN">the </span><span>first cycle to</span><span lang="IN"> the</span><span> second cycle. Therefore, </span><span lang="IN">it </span><span>could be conclude</span><span lang="IN">d</span><span> that the implementation of the drill method could increase students’ mathematical communication skills.</span></p><p class="abstrak"><strong>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK: </strong>Kemampuan komunikasi matematis pada pembelajaran matematika penting untuk siswa mampu menyajikan strategi sebagai solusi akan pernyataan maupun pertanyaan sesuai dengan prosedur dan prinsip yang benar. Berdasarkan observasi yang dilakukan pada SMP Lentera Way Pengubuan, ditemukan bahwa siswa belum mampu menuliskan strategi penyelesaian suatu pernyataan atau pertanyaan sesuatu prosedur penyelesaian dengan tepat dan lengkap. Selain itu, siswa masih keliru dalam menuliskan persamaan dan simbol dengan tepat dan belum mampu menyajikan representasi visual berupa grafik berdasarkan pernyataan yang ada. Oleh karena itu, peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menyelidiki bagaimana implementasi metode drill meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilakukan pada 17 Juli 2017 sampai 04 Oktober 2017. Adapun subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Lentera <span lang="IN">Harapan </span>Way Pengubuan yang berjumlah 11 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, lembar angket, <span lang="IN">dan rubrik</span>. Data yang dikumpulkan, dianalisis dengan metode kualitatif dan statistik sederhana secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menu<span lang="IN">n</span>jukkan peningkatan setiap indikator kemampuan komunikasi matematis dari siklus satu ke siklus kedua. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, disimpulkan bahwa implementasi langkah-langkah metode drill dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada topik persamaan garis lurus.</p><p class="abstrak"> </p>

This action research is based on the implementation Guided Discovery Learning (GDL) in the 2013 curriculum (K13) for education in Indonesia. Beside that the minimum completeness criteria, for space analytic geometry in Suryakancana University, has not been achieved yet. The aim of this study was to improve the mathematical conceptual understanding of students who were taking lectures on space analytic geometry. The sample consisted of two classes with many students of 19 and 22 respectively. This classroom action research was completed in two cycles. In the second cycle, the class absorption of each class was 78.95% and 77.27%. Thus it can be concluded that the implementation of the GDL model can improve the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts, especially in the analytic geometry of space subject, and in general students provide a positive response to learning with the GDL model.

Relational understanding is conceptual understanding that focuses on the interrelationships between concepts. The initial research conducted in the class of XI-Grade/Natural Sciences of the SMA Nasional Malang showed that students still had a low relational understanding. The results of observation of learning activities also show that learning activities do not support the relational understanding of students. Classroom action research was carried out to provide a solution to the problem by applying the TPSS type of the cooperative learning model. There are two cycles in this study, each of which consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Indicators that the research is successful are: (1) in the last cycle test, the four indicators that have been determined of the students’ relational understanding appear; and (2) the application by the observer of the TPSS type of the cooperative learning model is given the value, at least, “Good”. This study was declared successful after the second cycle. The steps of the TPSS type of the cooperative learning model are: (1) Think; (2) Pair; (3) Square; and (4) Share. Pemahaman relasional adalah pemahaman konseptual yang berfokus pada keterkaitan antar konsep. Penelitian awal yang dilaksanakan pada kelas XI IPA 1 SMA Nasional Malang menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik masih memiliki pemahaman relasional yang rendah. Hasil observasi kegiatan pembelajaran juga menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pembelajaran belum mendukung pemahaman relasional peserta didik. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan untuk memberikan solusi dari masalah tersebut dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSS. Terdapat dua siklus dalam penelitian ini yang masing-masing terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini yaitu: (1) hasil tes akhir siklus peserta didik dapat memenuhi empat indikator pemahaman relasional yang telah ditentukan; dan (2) keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSS berdasarkan hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan peserta didik oleh observer memperoleh nilai dengan kategori minimal “Baik”. Penelitian ini dinyatakan berhasil setelah dilakukan siklus kedua. Langkah-langkah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSS adalah: (1) Think; (2) Pair; (3) Square; dan (4) Share.

The purpose of this study is to find out the application of Mind Mapping learning model assisted by the rotary wheel media to improve the creative thinking of fourth grade students of elementary schools. The research was conducted in the classroom action research with research subjects of fourth grade students with total of 15 students. This classroom action research would take place in two cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2 in the theme 6 of My Ideals. The dependent variable in this study is students’ creative thinking, while the independent variables are the Mind Mapping learning model with the rotary wheel media.  The data collection techniques of this study were test and non-test. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative data analiysis. The result of this study showed the improvement in students’ creative thinking skill. This is evidenced by the average percentage at the pre-cycle stage, a percentage of 40% was obtained with uncreative criteria, then increase in the first cycle increased to 73.33% with quite creative criteria and in the second cycle increased to 86.67% with creative criteria. Based on the result, it concluded that the application of Mind Mapping learning models can improve fourth grade students’ creative thinking.

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) pada materi pecahan  kelas VII di SMP Swasta Istiqlal Delitua Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII di SMP Swasta Istiqlal Delitua dengan jumlah siswa 33 orang dan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan penerapan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) pada materi pecahan kelas VII di SMP Swasta Istiqlal Delitua tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari tes dan observasi. Penelitian terdiri 2 siklus dan tes diberikan pada setiap akhir siklus. Hasil tes pemahaman konsep matematika siklus I nilai rata-rata 63,85 dan klasikal kategori “baik” 57,57%. Siklus II nilai rata-rata adalah 81,69 dan secara klasikal kategori “sangat baik” 90,90%. Hasil observasi kemampuan guru menelola pembelajaran siklus I rata-rata 3,15 dengan kategori “baik”, siklus II berkategori “sangat baik” nilai rata-rata 3,5. Kesimpulan penelitian yaitu penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa. ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to know the students ‘increased understanding of the concept after the application of problem based learning model of class VII SMP Swasta Istiqlal Delitua of the school year 2014/2015. Research subjects VII grade students in SMP Swasta Istiqlal Delitua consisted of 33 peoples and the object of research is applying measures problem-based learning model to increased understanding of the concept of class VII SMP Swasta Istiqlal Delitua of the school year 2014/2015. Study data obtained from tests and observation sheets. The study comprised two cycles and the test given at the end of each cycle. Test results understanding of math concept I cycle the average value of 63,85 and in the classical category of “good” 57,57%. Cycle II, the average value is 81,69 and in the classical category of “very good” 90,90%. Observations of teachers ability to manage the learning I cycle an average of 3,15 with the category of “good”, cycle II categorized “very good” average value of 3,5. Classroom action research was motivated by the less active attitude of the Class V students of MI Negeri 4 Gunungkidul. located in MI Negeri 4, located in Dusun Semenrejo, Pulutan Village, Wonosari District, Gunungkidul Regency in learning mathematics. The Snowball Throwing learning model is expected to be able to improve it, especially in the material of addition and subtraction of fractions with different denominators on. This research was conducted during July 2019. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The research was carried out for two sessions continuously to produce according to expectations where the achievement was achieved through learning as many as 22 students. Therefore it is suggested that the teacher can apply the SbT type of cooperative learning model to other materials. Variations can be made within the framework of cooperative learning that is adapted to the material and conditions
