We consider a set of educational technologies that improve the process of developing competence in the field of social-project activities. It is noted that the teacher becomes a navigator, and students are active designers of their educational trajectory, active participants in the educational process, as well as creators of social projects that guarantee the solution of significant human and social problems. We show the relationship between the introduction of social innovations and the development of competence in social-project activities, as well as the applied educational technologies. Various understandings of the term “educational technologies” in modern foreign studies are considered. Based on the method of analysis of research positions, an understanding of educational technologies as a conceptual tool for improving educational practice is given. The essence and features of the organization of the most effective educational technologies for the development of components of social-project competence in students are analyzed. The complex and three groups of educational technologies that influence the development of competence in the field of social-project activities among students are identified: traditional didactic technologies (lectures, seminars, etc.), integral didactic technologies (case analysis, project training, portfolio, etc.), innovative didactic technologies (flipped learning, digital technologies, etc.). It is established that it is the integrated implementation of educational technologies in Bachelor's and Master's programmes of social orientation that allows us to qualitatively improve not only educational, but also positively change social practice, influence their joint result.

The purpose of the article is a brief description of the author’s method for solving the problem of professional competencies formation for students studying in art and adjoining specialties related to the ability to carry out aesthetic evaluation of artworks and independently conduct educating and educational activities. This problem is particularly relevant in modern conditions, which are characterized by high transmission speeds of a large amount of visual information. The methodology is based on a system of forming professional tools for students to conduct analytical work in the field of aesthetic evaluation of artworks. The development of this methodology was carried out in accordance with modern didactic principles, such as the principles of science, the relationship between theory and practice, as well as the principle of visibility. These principles were transmitted at various levels of the educational process organization. To collect information, we used such methods as analyzing literary sources on the research problem, conducting surveys of students and teachers, and analyzing modern resources for storing and distributing images, namely, author’s works of art. The educational technologies described in the article can be applied in the process of training specialists in the field of architecture, all types of visual design, painting, graphics, sculpture, as well as specialists in the field of art and correctional pedagogy, art therapy.

<p><em>This paper focuses on several aspects of the relationship between families of students with multiple disabilities and the educational process. Quality-based methodology was used for the research due to a lack of sufficient theoretical background in this area. The objective of the paper was to elucidate the significance of education of students with multiple disabilities for their families and to describe the process of cooperation between these families and the teachers. This paper uses data and outputs from a qualitative analysis of education of students with severe multiple disabilities (semi-structured interviews with 45 teachers of students with multiple disabilities, observation of 4 students in the educational process and an analysis of 30 samples of educational documents using open, axial and selective coding). The resulting theory was combined with the results of a survey focused on the cooperation between the families and the teachers in order to gain a saturated data sample. This survey used semi-structured interviews with 5 teachers of students with multiple disabilities. The data from these interviews were analysed by means of open coding, compared with the outputs of the previous research and a theoretical model for educational intervention with the families of students with multiple disabilities was constructed and described. This model offers ideas for educational practice as well as further research.</em></p>

Information and communication technologies bring a great amount of positive effects that appropriately enrich and support education. The generally declared need for the integration of new media and educational technologies in the educational process could represent an important impulse for the development of pedagogical sciences. As a result of this fact, it is necessary to promote new educational techniques and methods derived from them and thus there arises a question whether schools, teachers and teachers-to-be are ready for such a thing. Since the authors of the presented study are not aware of any available analysis dealing with this issue, we have decided, based on carrying out a research, to identify the interest and preparedness of schools or teachers, included teachers-to-be, in the implementation of modern didactic tools into the educational practice in form of interactive whiteboards. The presented study introduces the progress, process and result of this significant research. Key words: didactic tools, digital technologies, information and communication technologies, interactive board, multimedia, multimedia presentation, research.

The article describes the use of BYOD technology (Bring Your Own Device) in educational practice using the Lecture Racing mobile application. This application provides feedback between the teacher and students both in the classroom and during distance learning, contributes to the visualization of educational material and, in general, the informatization of the educational process. The purpose of the study is to conduct a theoretical analysis of the current state and prospects for the development of BYOD technology in Russia and abroad, and to test the benefits of using this technology in educational practice using the specific mobile application. During the study, an analysis of scientific, theoretical and practical literature on BYOD technology was carried out. In the process of experimental work, test tasks were the instrument of measuring knowledge and skills of students. As a result of a theoretical analysis and study of the practical possibilities of using BYOD technology (using the Lecture Racing mobile application as an example), it was found that this technology allows you to visualize information that is displayed in real time on the screen of each student's mobile device, regardless of its location. This technology also allows both the student and the teacher to quickly work with information, provide feedback, receive an independent assessment (since the assessment is set automatically), saves time, and develops the information culture of students.

In the article prepared in connection with the discussion on the use of the Marxist political economy heritage and the revival of a special seminar on Marx’s “Capital”, the author shows the dialectic of the relationship between the content and the transformed forms of the modern capitalist system; the potential of “Capital” to understand the content of the modern economy, and the potential of economics to understand its forms. On this basis, the author shows which questions of our time are answered by Marxist methodology and theory, and which are not, and concludes that Marxist political economy has significant methodological potential to become an important component of the scientific and educational process in current conditions.

The relevance of the article is determined by the existence of contradictions between the need to introduce innovative technologies into the educational process at school, as an integral attribute of modern education, and the negative influence of factors on the physical and psycho-emotional state of health of students related to the use of information and communication tools (computers, phones, headphones). The goal of the study was to assess the relationship between the timing of the use of information and communication tools and the frequency of functional and psycho-emotional complaints in groups of middle and high school schoolchildren. 400 schoolchildren of the Saratov Region, the Moscow Region, Leningrad Region and the Republic of Dagestan were surveyed, who made up two groups of research: middle-school schoolchildren (grades 5–6) and high-school schoolchildren (grades 10–11 The survey was carried out by means of the standardized formalized cards which included the questions considering usage time of computers and mobile phones, complaints to a headache, hands pain, other pain and/or feeling of discomfort from visual organ and the organs of hearing, as well as a psycho-emotional state. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the STATISTICA application software program by StatSoft Inc (USA). To compare the frequencies of a binary feature, a fourfold table of absolute frequencies was constructed and the level of statistical significance for the exact Fisher’s two-tailed test criterion was determined. The study was conducted according to the requirements of bioethics, after signing informed consent statement by teenagers and their parents. The study examined the relationship between the timing of the use of information and communication tools and the frequency of complaints in groups of schoolchildren. The results of the study should be taken into account when developing and implementing preventive measures to prevent negative effects of computers and mobile devices on the body of students.

This book reimagines medical education and reconstructs its design. It originates from a reappraisal of the goals of medicine and the nature of the relationship between doctor and patient. The educational blueprint outlined is called the “Physicianship Curriculum” and rests on two linchpins. First is a new definition of sickness: Patients know themselves to be ill when they cannot pursue their purposes and goals in life because of impairments in functioning. This perspective represents a bulwark against medical attention shifting from patients to diseases. The curriculum teaches about patients as functional persons, from their anatomy to their social selves, starting in the first days of the educational program and continuing throughout. Their teaching also rests on the rock-solid grounding of medicine in the sciences and scientific understandings of disease and function. The illness definition and knowledge base together create a foundation for authentic patient-centeredness. Second, the training of physicians depends on and culminates in development of a unique professional identity. This is grounded in the historical evolution of the profession, reaching back to Hippocrates. It leads to reformulation of the educational process as clinical apprenticeships and moral mentorships. “Rebirth” in the title suggests that critical ingredients of medical education have previously been articulated. The book argues that the apprenticeship model, as experienced, enriched, taught, and exemplified by William Osler, constitutes a time-honored foundation. Osler’s “natural method of teaching the subject of medicine” is a precursor to the Physicianship Curriculum.
