Relevance. Currently, all over the world, antibacterial therapy is widely used as a prophylaxis after surgical interventions. Currently, some data indicate the benefits of a short course, while others, in turn, indicate the benefits of a long course of antibacterial drugs as a prevention of postoperative complications. The problem of pan-resistance of bacterial strains in relation to almost all available groups of antibacterial drugs forces us to look for ways to overcome resistance, to look for new potential bases for the creation of antimicrobial drugs. New antibacterial drugs: odilorhabdins, tridecapeptins and malacidins, arilomycins and others will help to overcome the existing difficulties. The purpose of this study is to analyze the domestic and foreign literature for the period 2017–2021 in order to study the current approach to antibacterial therapy in surgical practice.Material and methods. In the course of this study, publications were selected according to the topic for the period from 2017 to 2021. The information was obtained from foreign and domestic sources: the Russian scientific electronic library, integrated with the Russian Science Citation Index (eLibrary.ru), Medline database (via Pubmed.gov), Scopus database, ScienceDirect database.Results. One of the significant difficulties in the treatment of wounds with antibacterial drugs of various localizations is the persistence of resistant strains of Staphylococcus aureus. In the studied studies, the high effectiveness of tedizolide phosphate in the treatment of this type of infection was noted. It is also possible to use other new drugs as epmiric therapy in the presence of risk factors for MRSA infection: daptomycin (lipopeptides), ceftaroline (cephalosporins), tigecycline (glycylcyclines), telavancin (glycopeptides)[41]. The use of biocides in the treatment of prostheses for hernioplasty as an antibacterial prophylaxis significantly reduces the adhesion of staphylococci and prevents postoperative complications. Suture material with antimicrobial activity, which would allow to fully reduce the risk of infections in the field of surgical intervention, is not yet available on the pharmaceutical market, but the increasing attention of scientists is attracted by chitosan, a derivative of the natural polymer chitin. The combined use of bacteriophages with low doses of antibiotics leads to better results in the treatment of surgical soft tissue infection. Bacteriophages are one of the ways to overcome antibiotic resistance.Conclusions. The modern approach to antibacterial therapy in surgical practice involves the correct and timely appointment of starting therapy, taking into account the sensitivity of microorganisms, the use of antibacterial preoperative prevention, determining the optimal duration of use and dose selection of an antibiotic, the use of sensitive bacteriophages together with them, overcoming antibiotic resistance due to the competent use of new antibacterial drugs based on peptides, a comprehensive approach to the treatment of surgical infection.

In this paper we attempt to classify Russian journals in economics and related disciplines for their scientific significance. We show that currently used criteria, such as a journal’s presence in the Higher Attestation Committee’s list of journals and the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI) impact factor, are not very useful for assessing the academic quality of journals. Based on detailed data, including complete reference lists for 2010—2011, we find significant differentiation of Russian journals, including among those located at the top of the RSCI list. We identify two groups of Russian journals, tentatively called category A and B journals, that can be regarded as the most important from the viewpoint of their contribution to the economic science.

The paper analyses the publications of Russian authors in various fields of economics indexed in Web of Science and Russian Science Citation Index. The authors claim that the scientometric parameters are only in a limited way applicable in evaluating the performance of expert and thesis boards in economics in Russia. The authors also put forward the approaches in order to improve Russia’s positions in the international citations indexes in economics.

The article presents the results of the rating of Russian economic journals, the methodology of which is based on a combination of bibliometric data and expert interviews. Processing of the statistical information system of Russian science citation index (RINC) allows us to form a “primary” list of the best journals in the country. Expert evaluation of the list makes it possible to reorganize it with regard to the scientific level of periodicals and get the “secondary” list. The merger of two ranking systems forms the basis of obtaining the final ranking of economic journals. It is shown that the leading part of the constructed rating forms a kind of the Diamond List of journals, which on the whole agrees with similar lists obtained in earlier studies by other authors.

Twenty two science Russian periodicals in informatics and library studies are selected for the bibliometrical analysis of key journal indicators, including publication activity of the same journals’ editorial staff. For the first time for domestic journals, the study reveals hidden self-citation when editorial members include links to their journal from other publications. The available instruments of scientometrical databases, including Web of Science and Scopus, and the national system Russian Science Citation Index do not enable to identify this form of self-citation. The mentioned manipulations are aimed at boosting journal rating. In several cases, intensive and unjustified citation by journals’ editorial staff in other periodicals which we consider the violation of publication ethical principles, is revealed.

Objective: To suggest an algorithm for assessing the results of the scientific activity of a teacher drawing on published works and their quotes, which should make it possible to consider the total quoting of significant publications determined by the Hirsch algorithm. To create a more advanced approach to the effective assessment of scientists’ publication activities compared to the Hirsch number. Methods: A systematization approach is used to systematize the total citation array, by separating it into the following citation arrays: 1) the basic, defined Hirsch index; 2) significant publications; 3) intensity of work. The resulting arrays formed the basis of the creation of three indices: h – Hirsch’s index, g – an index of significant publications and p – intensive work index. These indexes allowed us to determine the Euclidean norms gh – the index of basic significant publications and hp – the intensive work index of a teacher. The above indices make it possible to differentiate the teachers’ publication activities and produce better ranking in the team. Results: The ratings of a team of authors formed by the sample from Russian Science Citation Index using the Hirsch index and the gh-index are built. It is shown that more efficient compared to the Hirsch index is the proposed approach. Practical importance: The described approach to the formation of the rating position of the authors of publications in the creative team is based on a simple calculation and comparison of the modified Hirsch indices

Introduction: Polymer products have become inexpensive, convenient and widely used in all spheres of everyday life recently. Microplastics are found in seawater, wastewater, fresh water, foodstuffs, and air. Over the past few years, the presence of microplastics in treated tap and bottled water has been reported, raising questions and concerns about their potential human health effects. Objective: To summarize and systematize the results of studying health effects of exposure to microplastics in potable water. Materials and methods: A literature review was done based on ten topical articles and reviews published in 2014–2021 out of 64 sources found in the PubMed and Scopus international databases and the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). Results and conclusions: Generalization and systematization of the published research data demonstrated the lack of strong evidence to draw conclusions about human health effects of microplastics. Information on toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of ingested microplastic particles is absent just like the studies of the most common shapes and sizes of plastic particles and health risks from exposure to such particles in drinking water.

This study extended the author's previous research in the field of scientometrics of media researchers on the topic “Mass information. Journalism. Mass media” in Russian electronic library and Russian Science Citation Index. The methodology was a census of the personalities of the first hundred authors ranked by the level of the h-index in 2020 compared to 2017, and in some aspects — from 2016. The study analyzed the changes in the h-index over the years under study, changes in the authors' geography by federal districts and cities of the Russian Federation, their academic position, the distribution of doctors and candidates of sciences in scientific majors in accordance with the awarded degree, as well as the distribution of rating personalities by actual scientific interests and taught courses in their affiliated scientific and educational organizations. The study revealed the importance of scientometric indicators for authors and scientific and educational organizations to determine their place in the academic community, the relevance of topics and authors’ research in the general academic landscape, and material incentives. At the same time, it was noted that the system of scientometric indicators is changing: perhaps the h-index the number of published works and the number of citations in the RSCI will remain as an object of research by historians of science to determine the common place of Russian (and Soviet) scientists in the science development, and in addition or to replace them there will be new indicators. One of them is the "percentile" recently introduced into the list of scientometric indicators. Studies of the values of scientometric indicators will remain relevant in the future.

Background and Study Aim. The inclusion of beach volleyball in the program of the Olympic Games gave some impetus to the development of scientific research on various problems of training athletes. Most of the research results are presented in journals included in the Web of Science Core Collection. However, the publication of research results in journals from national databases remains outside the scope of this database. The aim of this study is to systematically review the scientific literature on various beach volleyball issues in Russian-language scientific resources. Material and Methods. The sources of information were the authoritative database Web of Science Core Collection, Russian Science Citation Index, Scientific Electronic Library eLIBRARY.RU (Russia), National Repositary of Academic Texts (Ukraine). Data extraction from these databases was carried out using the keywords “volleyball” / “beach”. A total of 1,875 documents were found for the keyword “volleyball”. Of these, the keyword “beach” - 273 documents. Further analysis was carried out on 273 documents. The search query results were recorded in the form of tables and a special text file, which were processed in the VOSviewer 1.6.17 program. Results. The most significant and more popular subject categories, journals, authors, articles, keywords have been identified. The relationship between keywords and individual groups of publications has been established. A method for extracting data from the Scientific Electronic Library eLIBRARY.RU in a semiautomatic mode is presented. The trends in the development of beach volleyball in various aspects of the training of elite athletes and the sports reserve, the health-improving function of beach volleyball for youth are shown. Conclusions. Differences in the content of research between Russian-language and English-language resources are a good complement to each other. This fact may contribute to solving the problems of beach volleyball and international cooperation of researchers.
