Many new tools and mediations are at today’s children’s avail that we couldn’t dream of when we were growing up. And yet, the millennium generation is also facing new challenges, which call for creative solutions. Today’s youngsters are growing up in a world increasingly shielded from nature; of ever more busy work and entertainment schedules; longer commutes; disappearing or reorganizing neighborhoods; and recomposed families. And yet the children are extraordinarily resourceful. They invent their own surprising ways of navigating rough seas and seizing opportunities. Much can be learned from their interests and genres of engagement. This chapter identifies six areas of change that seem to inform how today’s kids play and learn.

The Internet is a modern Pandora's Box which has exceptionally altered the way we disseminate and receive information messages, particularly news. Despite technological innovations being the apex of our history, it is undeniable that they pose new challenges and threats to a different degree. Hence, this study examined the risks and challenges faced by the Malaysian media professionals in this new age and how technological developments had impacted their work. Situated within the framework of the technological determinism theory, this study employed a qualitative semi-structured interview with thirteen (13) Malaysian journalists. This study found several challenges related to the journalists' safety and their professionalism. Media professionals, such as journalists and editors, often caught in a paradoxical and risky situations, which challenge the process of news production and deliverance ethically and legally. Journalists, who participated in this study, were pressured to produce more story ideas and deliver news assignments with shorter deadlines. This not only impacted the online news quality but also the credibility and transparency of the news organization.

The paper deals with new trends and new challenges for tax administrations in the digital age. A review of contemporary trends in developed economies and recent academic literature indicates there may be a visible trend of shifting the burden of collection and consolidation of data on e.g. transactions, income and wealth from the taxpayer to the tax administration. The paper identifies several particular areas in the Slovak tax law, where (omitting the factor of current technological capacity on the side of tax administration) there may exist possibility to follow this trend. Primarily doctrinal method and method of analysis of legal norms was employed.

Public speaking skills for church community is very important in facing the new challenges in the digital age. Faculty of Social and Political Science Universitas Kristen Indonesia organized community service activity in the form of public speaking workshop to HKBP Karawang community member on Friday, 23 April 2021. The public speaking was conducted by the presentation and the simulation. After the training was completed, the participant filled the project satisfaction survey. The survey was analyzed using SPSS. The result showed that the participants were satisfied with the training and were recommended to be followed by subsequent training. Keywords: public speaking training, HKBP Karawang, Fisipol UKI

These are connected with changed qualification profiles and thus new challenges for vocational education and training (VET). Companies, vocational schools and other educational institutions must respond appropriately. The Dutch Manual of Muller, Feith and Fruin is the basic work of modern archival theory and practice and widely considered to be the “Bible of a modern archivist”. It was published the first time in Hungarian in 2019. Is it a late honour for the past of this profession with some significance just for archival history? How can the permanent influence of the book be explained? The principle of provenance has to be reconsidered at190any time when the archival profession faces new challenges. This study summarizes the most topical challenges of our times generally and for Hungarian archivists particularly to identify fields where the Manual seems to be highly inspiring in. We have to find new ways of arranging and representing archival information, and Dutch Manual seems to offer useful reference in the digital age too.

Today’s children are growing up in a digital age that is far different from that of previous generations. Young children’s use of interactive screen media such as smartphones is increasing rapidly. A variety of mobile devices are all around, but they are still not accessible enough at schools, where the use of smartphones is usually forbidden.The aim of this research was to discover teachers’ opinion about using smartphones in class. The qualitative methodology was used in this study to analyse in depth the contextual factors concerning the use of smartphones during the education process. The analysis was based on data from 32 interviews with primary school teachers. The results of the study have shown that teachers do not incorporate smartphones into the education process, despite their positive attitude towards this kind of mobile devices.
