27 %. In the presented studies, pre-planting seed treatment increased the yield of grain by 0.43 t/ha, which is almost 12 %. Taking into account the high grazing rate for seed of cereal crops with a continuous sowing method, the cost of using the full recommended standard for the seed treatment would be about 25 % of the total production costs of the cultivation technology. So it is a significant additional production costs, which, in the current financial situation, the vast majority of agribusinesses are not able to invest in crop growing technology. In this regard, we have chosen the minimum rate of application of the drug 1.0 l/ton of seeds. Although calculations show that even the maximum rate of use of «1R Seed Treatment» for reaching an increase in winter wheat yield of 0.5 t/ha will be economically feasible. In the variants of the experiment, in which the seeds of the pre-planting treatment were used for root crop fertilization with «4R Foliar Concentrate», the yield increase of winter wheat grain was 0.76 t/ha or almost 21 % compared with the control. Application of 2 kg/ha «4R Foliar Concentrate» to the phase of the tube led to a further increase in yield, which was 23.1 %. The most effective in the described experiment was the variant, where the pre-sowing treatment of seeds with humate was combined with fecal application, but the leaf application was carried out in two receptions of 1 kg/ha «4R Foliar Concentrate». The yield increase was 27 %, which confirms the recommendations of the manufacturer of these drugs and the leading European companies regarding the use of their own products for a multiple entry. In the experiment block, which used only leaf application, the effectiveness of the drug «4R Foliar Concentrate» was significant. Only one treatment of the crop with the drug in the phase of release into the tube contributed to an increase in yield of 0.27 t/ha or 7.4 %. An increase in the rate of use of the drug up to 2 kg/ha has a stronger effect and increased the yield of winter wheat grain, compared with the control, by 0.38 t/ha or 10.5 %. A fractional introduction of the same norm into different phases of the development of culture is accompanied by an increase in yields by 0.50 t/ha, compared with the option without fertilization and increases additional profits, compared with the single use of the entire drug norm. Thus, differentiated use of drugs was more effective than single use. Studies have shown the effectiveness of the use of humates in winter wheat cultivation technology, in particular, «1R Seed Treatment» and growth stimulator «4R Foliar Concentrate». The combination of pre-sowing seed treatment and leaf application of crops enables to increase the yield of winter wheat by 11.8–27 %, and the use of sheet-laying applications only provides grain growth within the range of 7.4–13.8 %. The differentiated application of growth promoter «4R Foliar Concentrate» has a better economic and economic effect than a one-time use.

Background: Feed is an important input for poultry and swine production, representing 50–70% of the total production costs. Feed processing provides an opportunity to improve poultry and swine performance. Herbal gut function modulators are used in poultry and swine feeds to improve nutrient utilization and efficiencies of biomass production. Nbiotic™ Premix is a phytoformulation of AYURVET LIMITED, INDIA used in poultry and swine as a natural growth promoter (NGP) to effectively replace antibiotic growth promoters (AGP). Pelletization used to prevent wastage of feed, reduce bulk and improve digestibility and palatability. In present work we have assessed the stability of the Nbiotic™ Premix herbal formulation under different pelletization thermal stress conditions. Methods: Formulation was kept under controlled temperature (90oC) and moisture (2.0 % w/w) for different time intervals (0, 5, 10 minutes). Chromatographic techniques (HPLC and HPTLC) and physicochemical properties were used to monitor the formulations stability. Nbiotic™ Premix was stable at all the experimental investigation of pelletization thermal stress. Results: No significant change in the 6-gingerol content (250.0 ppm (± 2.0 % at RT 10.05 minutes) and difference between peak areas and the retention factor (RF) values for the control samples and various thermal stress conditioned samples were observed. A comprehensive study of HPLC and HPTLC measurements have been applied for assessing the stability of Nbiotic™ Premix. Developed methods (HPLC & HPTLC) were found to be rapid, sensitive and reliable in determining its stability. As evident, Nbiotic™ Premix can undergo pelletization process without any degradation. In conclusion, present study will help towards developing appropriate stability monitoring parameters for herbal products which is a major challenge in the nutraceutical industry in current scenario.

Background: In view of abundant availability of Spilanthes paniculata in flora of Jharkhand and widely reported benefits of its dried flowers, the current study aimed to explore the possibility and to quantify the effect of use of flowers of S. paniculata as feed additives in stimulating body growth in poultry birds. Methods: A four week experiment consisting of 60 numbers of poultry birds (Divyan Red) of five months old subjected to four treatments consisting of 15 birds in each treatment distributed equally with 5 replications, was undertaken during 2016-19 following randomized block design to observe the effect of feeding dried flowers of S. paniculata on body weight increase in poultry birds. Result: Feeding of dried flowers of S. paniculata @ 10 g/bird/day resulted in a gradual increase in rate of weight gain up to 14 days of feeding, whereas feeding @ 15 g and 20 g/bird/day resulted in increase in body weight gain up to 7 days. Feeding @ 10 g/bird/day resulted in highest body weight increase after feeding for four weeks and improved in the feed conversion ratio (FCR) significantly (P ˂ 0.05) than the other 3 treatments. It is advisable for poultry owners to incorporate dried flowers of S. paniculata at a dose of 10 grams per bird per day for three weeks for attaining maximum growth in body weight in poultry birds.

This research paper aimed to optimize the process parameters and to select the most suitable drying method in order to obtain probiotic powder at reduced cost. The influence of the addition of growth promoters (glucose, sucrose, cheese whey, peptone, yeast extract or ammonium sulfate), incubation parameters (time and temperature) and drying method (freeze-drying or oven-drying) on the viability of the probiotic cultures Lactobacillus casei or Lactobacillus acidophilus was evaluated. The effect of the growth promoters was evaluated using a fractional factorial experimental design 26-4 and the concentration of the growth promoters and the incubation temperature were optimized through Box-Behnken experimental matrix (33). Cheese whey (16% w/v) plus ammonium sulfate (2.5% w/v) and cheese whey (12% w/v) plus yeast extract (7% w/v) promoted a higher multiplication of L. casei and L. acidophilus, respectively. The best temperature for L. casei was 35 ºC and for L. acidophilus 39 ºC, without influence of the incubation time (24 or 48 h). The oven-drying resulted in the highest populations of the probiotic cultures (above 9 log cfu/mL). This study proved that cheese whey can be a suitable growth promoter for both probiotic cultures and oven-drying could be the drying method, which can decrease the production costs. The influence of the temperature and growth promoters is strain specific, demonstrating that the growth conditions should be evaluated for each probiotic strain.

The production of meat for human consumption is one of the important items in the economy of a country. This activity has great socio economic importance as it serves as a basis for development, employment generation and sustainability of a country. The demand for animal protein is one of the most precious and necessary factors to maintain a proper biological development of human beings in active growth as well as being a source of growth and tissue regeneration. Consumption has increased because populations continue to grow and there is continuous migration to the cities, which makes the offer insufficient, and therefore it is necessary to accelerate, introduce technology and improve the meat production process. Industry also seeks a reduction in production costs by producers in this sector of the economy, leading to the use and incorporation of technology and cutting-edge knowledge to improve yield production of meat. Such knowledge comprises the scientific basis of the use of growth hormones and promoters (anabolic steroids and others) to accelerate and increase the production of meat. Although there has been an increase in production, residual substances can remain in the meat intended for human consumption which can lead to changes in the health of consumers.

Key words: growth promoter, meat, animal production

The number of children with limited English proficiency (LEP) in U.S. public schools is growing dramatically. Speech-language pathologists increasingly receive referrals from classroom teachers for children with limited English proficiency who are struggling in school. The speech-language pathologists are frequently asked to determine if the children have language disorders that may be causing or contributing to their academic difficulties. Most speech-language pathologists are monolingual English speakers who have had little or no coursework or training related to the needs of LEP children. This article discusses practical, clinically applicable ideas for assessment and treatment of LEP children who are language impaired, and gives suggestions for distinguishing language differences from language disorders in children with limited English proficiency.
